OVERVIEW

The trick to installing the panels is installing them securely in the right place. We’ve made this simple for you by using clip locations on the plastic door panels to locate the panels and existing hole location on the door as a place to securely attach the MOLLE panels. This guarantees proper installation every time.

PREP
There’s really no prep for installing this hardware. We’ve designed the installation to be as easy as possible and leave very little room for error. That being said, if you’re not comfortable doing this installation, reach out to us and we can talk you through it or we can help you find a reputable service location to do the installation for you. You got this!

STEP 1, REMOVE DOOR PANELS (FROM BOTH DOORS)

Using your fingers or a plastic prying tool (to avoid scratching the doors), gently pry the door panels loose and set them aside.

STEP 2, REMOVE THE ATTACHEMENT CLIPS

Remove the four attachement clips shown below. They simply slide out to the side with finger pressure.

STEP 3, DRILL PILOT HOLES

Using an 1/8″ drill bit and from the rear of the panel, drill a pilot hole through the plastic door panel in the center of the location where the clip used to be. Be as exact as you can here, but there is a tiny amount of room for error do don’t sweat it too much. Repeat this in all spots where a clip was removed.
Finally, from the front side*, redrill the holes to a final diameter using a 5/16″ bit.

• We highly recommend (nay, insist) these are drilled from the front side. The plastic ribbing on the back side can cause the 5/16″ bit to walk away from the pilot hole, resulting in a misplaced mounting hole.

STEP 4, INSTALL RIVNUTS

Locate the following holes. These holes correspond to the hole position you drilled out on the door panels.

STEP 4, INSTALL THE RIVNUTS (CONTINUED)

• Thread the rivnut onto the rivnut tool and place the rivnut into one of the specified holes, taking care to ensure the rivnut is fully seated against its flange as show in the image to the right.
• Use a 9/16″ wrench to hold the outside of the tool and a ratchet with a 10mm socket to turn the bolt head of the tool.
• While ensuring the rivnut flange stays flat against the door, tighten the bolt of the tool.

Once the rivnut feels snug in the hole (cannot rotate freely), tighten the bolt head 1/4 turn more. Do not overtighten the rivnut. This could damage the rivnut threads.
Repeat this process for all 6 rivnuts.

STEP 5, REINSTALL THE DOOR PANELS

Install the modified door panels back to their original position.
NOTE : It’s okay if the door panels feel a little less secure than before. The MOLLE panels will tighten them up once installed.

STEP 6, PREINSTALL MOLLE PANEL HARDWARE

• Apply thread locker to the M6x16mm bolt and install the bracket loosely to the panel. This bolt will be tightened at the end.
• Insert the M6x45mm bolts into the correct holes of each panel. Place the spacer on the bolts and apply thread locker to the bolt.

STEP 7, INSTALL MOLLE PANELS

Position the MOLLE panel to the hole locations, starting with the bracket at the top. Working your way around, gradually tighten all bolts. Do not over- tighten. Everything should feel snug but not require lots of torque.
