TRUDOOR TD-PG Perimeter Gasketing

PERIMETER GASKETING

Note: For ease of installation, install head piece first, then two jamb pieces. This set can be installed on metal or wood frames.

1. Measure, mark and trim head piece to length. Close door and position head piece on frame header stop so that seal makes light even contact with door. Mark header stop in center of slotted holes.
2. Drill pilot holes in header stop at marks.
3. Secure head piece to header stop with supplied screws.
4. To install the 2 jamb pieces, repeat steps 2, 3, and 4. Jamb pieces should contact threshold (or floor) at bottom & contact head piece at top.
5. Open and close door several times to check jamb weatherstrip fit and seal, and to make sure latch bolt engages strike plate.
6. To adjust, loosen screws, re-position weatherstrip, and tighten screws.

ASTRAGALS/MEETING STILES

Note: This gasketing can also be used to seal the gap between pairs of doors (screwed onto the surface of each door).

1. Trim lengths equal to door height.
2. Position at meeting stile edge of doors. Install screws in center of slots.
3. Adjust as required for proper seal, with ease of opening and closing, then tighten screws.

TOOLS REQUIRED:

• Measuring tape
• Marker or pencil
• Power drill
• Screw driver
• Cutting tools (hacksaw & pliers)
