Eve Systems 20ECM8301 Eve Energy Outdoor Smart Plug

Safety Instructions

Eve Energy Outdoor may only be connected, installed and commissioned by an authorized electrician. Before installation, ensure the system is disconnected from the power supply!

Max. continuous load: 10 A / 2300 W. Do not connect appliances to this remote controlled socket-outlet if the instruction manual of the appliances prohibits being remote controlled (for example appliances according to EN 60335-2-9 like grills, toasters and similar portable cooking appliances, or portable kitchen appliances, or appliances with heating elements like ovens or heaters, etc.). Do not connect any appliances to this remote controlled socket-outlet which are radiating heat and may cause ignition or burning of surrounding materials (for example radiation heaters, portable heaters, portable floodlights, desk lamps, etc.). Take into consideration that connected appliances might be moved by pets, cleaning staff or other persons who are not aware of the remote control functions.

Get started

Switch off the circuit breaker for your outdoor outlet in your fuse box.

Preparation

Remove your current outdoor outlet, if available.

Install the mounting frame

Eve Energy Outdoor can be wired via the top or bottom.
Position the mounting frame and trace the screw holes.

Remove the mounting frame and drill into your tracings.

Mount the mounting plate using suitable fastening material.

Prepare the wiring

Run the stripped wires through the rubber cap with the embossed membrane.

Wire the power unit

Attach the wires to the corresponding terminals.

Use IEC 61386 compliant conduits with an outer diameter of 13.1±0.2mm.

Attach the power unit

Align the power unit, depending on whether it is wired via the top or bottom. Slide the spare rubber cap over the spare opening of the mounting frame.

Now slide the power unit with the wires and rubber cap with embossed membrane into the mounting frame. Make sure that the rubber cap holding the cables is flush with the mounting frame.

Attach the cover

Slide the cover over the mounting frame and power unit and attach it, using the four screws supplied.

Make sure that the flap opens upwards.

Add Eve Energy Outdoor to the platform of your choice and make sure to have a compatible Thread Border Router.
