VETTA VTM-101 Iced Tea and Iced Coffee Maker
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using this or any other electrical appliance, always follow safety precautions, especially when children are present.
- Read all instructions before operating the appliance.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electric shock, fire, or injury to persons, DO NOT IMMERSE CORD, PLUG, OR BASE UNIT IN WATER or other liquids.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after the appliance has malfunctioned, or has been damaged in any manner.
- Always unplug the appliance from the outlet when not in use and allow it to cool completely before cleaning or handling.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
- Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or countertop or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place the appliance on or near a hot burner or inside the oven.
- Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes.
- Use appliance only as described in this instruction manual.
- Use extreme caution when moving appliances containing hot water, tea, or coffee.
- Use the product in a well-ventilated area. Keep at least 4-6 inches of space on all sides of the product to allow adequate air circulation.
- Use appliance on a table or flat surface. Keep the product away from flammable materials.
- Do not plug or unplug the product from the electrical outlet with a wet hand.
- Do not operate the product empty.
- Do not operate the product if wires are exposed, if it malfunctions, if it is dropped or damaged, or if the Motor Housing is dropped in or exposed to water.
- This product has no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to examine or repair this product yourself. Please review the Warranty Policy on page 8.
- Do not put any stress on the power cord where it connects to the product.
- n extension cord is not recommended for use with this product.
- Do not attempt maintenance or disassemble the appliance. Please contact info@selaproducts.com for warranty service.
WARNING : This product is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other blade) to reduce the risk of electrical shock. This is a safety feature. The plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If you are unable to insert the plug into the elec-trical outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electri-cian. Do not alter the plug. Do not attempt to defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
IMPORTANT : Please check all packaging material carefully before discarding it as there may be accessory parts contained within the packaging material.
- Hand wash the Pitcher, Brew Basket, and removable Mesh Filter with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Run a brew cycle with water only. Do not add tea or coffee to the Filter.
- When the brewing cycle is complete, turn your iced tea /coffee maker off. Discard the water in the Pitcher and rinse the Pitcher, Lid, Brew Basket, and Mesh Filter once it has cooled.
Using Your Iced Tea and Iced Coffee Maker:
WARNING : Avoid contact with hot parts.
Measurement Guide
- Black / Green / Herbal Tea Bags (Regular Size) 6 to 9 Bags
- Tea Bags (Family Size) 2 to 3 Bags
- Loose Leaf Tea 1 to 3 tbsp
- Ground Coffee 8 to 12 tbsp
Adding Water and Tea or Coffee
Attention : First use may cause a slight odor or small smoking upon heating, it is normal. This is a result of the heating element’s chemical reaction. It quickly goes away.

Lift and open the Filter Basket Lid. For your convenience, you can lift out the removable Filter Basket. Add the desired amount of tea or coffee.

Fill the Pitcher with cold, fresh water to the “Water” line. Then pour the water into the Water Reservoir. Do not fill past the “Max” line. Close the Lid.

Fill Pitcher with ice up to the “Ice” line and place onto the Drip Tray.

Press the “Brew” power button. The light will illuminate, letting you know the power is on. The appliance will automatically shut off after brewing.
Note : The “Brew” button does not function as an OFF button. To turn off mid-brew, unplug the appliance. -
When the brew cycle is complete, remove the Pitcher from the drip tray to serve.

Make sure all contents have cooled before handling to clean or store.
Cleaning Your Iced Tea and Iced Coffee Maker
WARNING : Always unplug the product and allow it to cool before cleaning or storing.
- Once cold, empty the cooled tea/coffee from the Filter into the waste bin.
- Decanter and removable Filter can be washed under running water and a mild soapy cloth.
- To clean the Iced Tea and Iced Coffee Maker, wipe the surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Never submerge in water.
- Dry all parts thoroughly before storing or using them again.
Tips:
Always use a coffee Filter when adding dry ingredients like sugar or Matcha
powder.
Troubleshooting
Problem Possible Cause:
- If it is not brewing
- The appliance is unplugged.
- The Water Reservoir is empty.
- The Filter Basket is not properly inserted.
- It is brewing slowly
- The Filter Basket is not properly inserted.
- You have overfilled the removable Filter

from defects in materi-al and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from
the date of original purchase. During this period, your exclusive remedy is
repair or replacement of this product, at our option; however, you are
responsible for all costs associated with returning the product to us and our
returning a product or component under this warranty to you. If the product or
component is no longer available, we will replace it with a similar one of
equal or greater value. This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear from
normal use, use not in conformity with the printed directions, or damage to
the product resulting from accident, alteration, abuse, or misuse. THIS
WARRANTY EXTENDS ONLY TO THE ORIGINAL CONSUMER PURCHASER. KEEP THE ORIGINAL
SALES RECEIPT, AS PROOF OF PURCHASE IS REQUIRED, TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM.
This warranty is void if the product is used for other than single-fam-ily
household use or subjected to any voltage and waveform other than what is
specified on the rating label (E.G., 120V~60Hz). We exclude all claims for
special, incidental, and conse-quential damages caused by breach of express or
implied warranty. All liability is limited to the amount of the purchase
price.
