Operating and Safety Instructions

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using this or any other electrical appliance, always follow safety precautions, especially when children are present.

Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

To protect against electric shock, fire, or injury to persons, DO NOT IMMERSE CORD, PLUG, OR BASE UNIT IN WATER or other liquids.

Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after the appliance has malfunctioned, or has been damaged in any manner.

Always unplug the appliance from the outlet when not in use and allow it to cool com- pletely before cleaning or handling.

The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.

Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or countertop or touch hot surfaces.

Do not place the appliance on or near a hot burner or inside the oven.

Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes.

Use appliance only as described in this instruction manual.

Do not turn the hot iron upside down as hot water may spill.

Do not use on wet surfaces or with wet hands.

Use only with recommended voltage.

When you have finished ironing or when leaving the iron unattended:
o Turn the Steam Control Knob (7) to position “0” and the Temperature Control Dial (1) to “OFF”
o Stand the iron upright and disconnect it from the wall socket. -
Do not pull on the cord to disconnect the plug from the wall socket.

The iron should always be switched OFF before connecting or disconnecting from the power supply.

The iron should always be disconnected from the wall socket when filling or emptying the Water Tank.

The plug and cord should not be allowed to touch the hot sole plate. Let the iron cool down completely before rolling the power cord around the iron for storage.

Always use and store the iron upright and on a heat-resistant stable surface.

This product has no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to examine or repair this product yourself. Please review the Warranty Policy on page 6.

Do not put any stress on the power cord where it connects to the product.

An extension cord is not recommended for use with this product.

Notes:
- Some parts of the iron have been slightly greased, and as a result, the iron may smoke slightly when switched on for the first time. It will not happen again after a few uses.
- Before using the iron for the first time:
o Remove any protective films or stickers from the Sole Plate and the plastic housing
o Clean the Sole Plate with a soft cloth.
o Test the iron on an old piece of fabric to ensure that the Sole Plate and
Water Tank are completely clean.
IRONING
Important: Read the section entitled “Important Safeguards” before
proceeding.
CHOICE OF WATER
- This iron can be used with normal tap water. If the water in your area is particularly hard, it is advisable to use distilled or demineralized water.
- Do not use chemically descaled water or any other liquids for refilling.
FILLING THE WATER TANK
- Ensure the iron is unplugged from the wall outlet and wait for the iron to cool down.
- Set the Steam Control Knob (7) to “0” and the Temperature Control Dial (1) to “OFF”.
- Pour water into the Water Inlet (5) no higher than the maximum level “MAX” of the water tank.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL SETTING
- Always check the garment label for ironing instructions before ironing the garment. If the ironing instructions are missing, the table below may help you.
- If the fabric consists of various kinds of fibers (e.g., cotton with polyester) you should always select the ironing temperature for the material with the lowest advised
temperature.

SETTING THE TEMPERATURE
- Insert the Plug in the wall socket and stand the iron upright.
- Turn the Temperature Control Dial (1) to the desired temperature setting.
- The desired temperature has been reached when the pilot light has turned off. The pilot light will turn on and off from time to time, indicating that the selected temperature is being maintained.
SPRAYING
This function can be used at any time and does not affect the ironing
temperature.
- Fill the iron with water as described on page 3.
- Aim the Spray Nozzle (4) towards the garment.
- Press the Spray Button (3).
STEAM IRONING
This function can be used onlu at higher ironing temperatures.

●●● or MAX For maximum steam
- Fill water into the iron as described on page 3.
- Stand the iron upright.
- Insert the plug into the wall socket
- Turn the Temperature Control Dial (1) to the “●●”, “●●●” or MAX setting
- The pilot light turns off when the required temperature is reached, indicating the iron is ready for use.
- Turn the Steam Control Knob (7) to the required position. Steam will emit from the holes in the Sole Plate.
Notice: With conventional steam ironing, water may leak from the sole plate if a temperature has been selected too low. If this happens, turn the Temperature Control Dial (1) to the advised position. Steam will recommence as soon as the appropriate temperature has been reached.
BURST OF STEAM
This function provides an extra amount of steam to remove stubborn wrinkles.
- Fill the iron with water as described on page 3.
- Turn the Temperature Control Knob (1) to the position “MAX”
- The pilot light turns off when the required temperature is reached

AND CANADA ONLY.
This is the only express warranty for this product and is in lieu of any other
warranty or condition.
This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship
for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. During this
period, your exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of this product, at our
option; however, you are responsible for all costs associated with returning
the product to us and our returning a product or component under this warranty
to you. If the product or component is no longer available, we will replace it
with a similar one of equal or greater value.
This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear from normal use, use not in
conformity with the printed directions, or damage to the product resulting
from accident, alteration, abuse, or misuse.
THIS WARRANTY EXTENDS ONLY TO THE ORIGINAL CONSUMER PURCHASER. KEEP
THE ORIGINAL SALES RECEIPT, AS PROOF OF PURCHASE IS REQUIRED, TO MAKE A
WARRANTY CLAIM. This warranty is void if the product is used for other than
single-family household use or subjected to any voltage and waveform other
than what is specified on the rating label (E.G., 120V~60Hz).
We exclude all claims for special, incidental, and consequential damages
caused by breach of express or implied warranty.
All liability is limited to the amount of the purchase price.
