PRESET/ LIVE mode

TANK-G has 2 operation modes, LIVE mode and PRESET mode. The initial power-on default enters PRESET mode, tap the combination footswitches B+C to toggle LIVE/ PRESET mode back and forth.

A. Function Introduction of PRESET mode.

In PRESET mode, press BANK- or BANK+ at first, the screen shows the target’s BANK flashing, then tap A/ B/C/ D to switch to any preset you want. PRESET mode is the most normal playing state, TANK-G has a total of 36 presets, you can use 4 footswitches to select any one of them. But in PRESET mode, you can’t use the knob to adjust the tone parameters in real-time, if you want to adjust the parameters, you should enter the LIVE mode at first, or you can use the computer software or APP to read and adjust the parameters of TANK-G. As you can see from the display, there are 1-9 preset groups, which we call BANK, each BANK has four presets for A, B, C, and D. Tap BANK- footswitches to turn down the BANK, Tap BANK+ footswitches to turn up the BANK. A, B, C, D footswitches are the 4 presets of the current BANK, when a preset is selected, the corresponding footswitch indicator keep lighting up. At this point, some of the top knob lights will light up, the continuously on knob light means that the effect is on, and the off knob light means that the effect is off. If none of the 4 presets of the current BANK are enabled, it means TANK-G is currently in BYPASS, all 4 footswitch lights and all parameters-knob lights are off, with only the MASTER knob on. In PRESTET mode, you can save the current preset (2A, for example) overwrite to any of the 36 presets. It’s very simple, under the current preset, tap BANK- or BANK+ to select your target group(eighth group, for example), now the number “8” on the screen will continue flashing , this will indicate that you are ready to select the eighth BANK. Then hold the A/ B/C/ D footswitch (B footswitch, for example), after this operation, you had copied and pasted the 2A preset to the 8B preset, the B-footswitch blinks quickly, indicating “Save successfully”.

B. Function Introduction of LIVE mode.

In LIVE mode you can fine-tune and edit one of the 36 presets, when you switch the B+C footswitch to enter the LIVE mode, the machine will retain the data in the corresponding knobs before switching, the data is retained only once, and once the knob value is manually changed, the data is overwritten by the actual knob value. Therefore, you can adjust any parameters-knob of the current preset, then tap BANK- or BANK+ to select the BANK you want, finally you can hold the A/ B/C/ D to save the overlay, at this time, the A/ B/C/ D footswitch blinks quickly, indicating “Save successfully”. In LIVE mode you can also customize an effectors chain, after you enter the LIVE mode, you should close all effector modules manually at first, then you turn on the module you want, at this time you get an effectors chain, visual operations can be performed, the timbre of parameters-knob is what you see is what you get, you can use the knobs to improvise the timbre when you performing. In LIVE mode, the knob lights have only 3 states: lighting on/went off/flashing. If the knob light is off, it means that the effect of this knob is not on; If the knob is lit on, it means that the effect has been turned on and the knob timbre effect is what you see is what you get; If the knob light flashing, it means that the effect has been turned on, but the knob timbre what you get is different from what you see, and once the knob value is manually changed, the data is overwritten by the actual knob value, the knob light become lighting on. In LIVE mode, the footswitch lights have only 2 states: went off/flashing. If the footswitch light is off, it means that the effector module of this footswitch is not on; If the footswitch light is flashing, it means that the effector module of this footswitch is on.
