Safety Precautions
DANGER
- Failure to comply with these safety precautions results in death or serious injury;
- ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD! Always turn off, disconnect, and disengage all power sources to the projector before servicing;
- Maximum projector weight limit is 45kg (99 lbs)
WARNING
Failure to comply with these safety precautions may result in serious
injury.
- At least two qualified people should perform the installation procedure. Personal injury and/or property damage can result from dropping or mishandling the projector;
- If mounting to ceiling studs, make sure that the mounting screws are anchored into the center of the ceiling studs. Use of an edge-to-edge stud finder is recommended;
- Be aware of the mounting environment. If drilling and/or cutting into the mounting surface, always make sure that there are no electrical wires in the wall;
- Do not install near sources of high heat. Do not install on a structure that is prone to vibration, movement or chance of impact.
General Information
ARM is a very versatile optional item, useful to install a projector mount: on
a ceiling, on a wall, on a truss (with optional item 20977).
It can work in different projection modes: Landscape, Portrait, Floor.
It has a standard Euromet mount, which means it is compatible with all Euromet
projector mounts and all Euromet options with the same standard mount, which,
once attached, can slide back and forth along the profile.
Two-Fold Configuration
It is compatible also because the profile can be mounted in 2 different ways:
A) With the larger side of the profile section PARALLEL to the hanging plate
(standard configuration);
B) With the larger side of the profile section PERPENDICULAR to the hanging
plate.
To change from one configuration to the other, it is necessary to:
2.1 – Unscrew the 8 button screws (01) and the 3 flared screws (02)
2.2 – turn the profile plate
2.3 – tighten the screws at point 2.1 again.
Installation
To install ARM on the ceiling (for wall mount the same principle applies), the
following steps are necessary:
3.1 – Remove the plate (03) and fasten it to the support or to the available
optional item.
3.2 – Make 4 holes on the ceiling (05) and fasten the plate with 4 bolts (06),
not included in the package.
3.3 – The holes (07) can also be fastened to the ceiling.
3.4 – Fasten the plate (03) on it support (fastened at point 3.1) with the 4
bolts (10).For truss mounting (horizontally or
vertically) the following steps are required:
3.5 – Carry out step 3.1.
3.6 – Fasten the Clamps (08), which can be ordered separately with code:
20977, on the holes and eyelet.
3.7 – Put the Clamps with the same centre distance as the truss (09) and
fasten them to it.
3.8 – Carry out step 3.4
Configurations
As already anticipated, ARM can have different configurations:
- Ceiling installation: floor or portrait projection.
- Wall installation: landscape, floor or portrait projection.
- Truss installation (clamps not included): landscape, floor or portrait projection.
Its versatility is given by the fact that the profile can be fastened to the
installation plate in two different ways:
A) Larger side of the profile section PARALLEL to the hanging plate (standard
configuration);
B) Larger side of the profile section PERPENDICULAR to the hanging plate.
The possible configurations that can be obtained according to specific needs
and following the steps described in Chapters 2 and 3 are explained
below. N.B: In all installations where
the profile is mounted parallel to the floor (wall installation or in some
cases truss), make sure the plate is mounted with the longer side
perpendicular to the floor, as this will ensure more stability.
Sliding Movement
Once attached to the ARM, the bracket can be easily and safely slid along the
profile.
To do it, the following steps are necessary:
5.1 – Loosen the 8 screws (11), it is not necessary to remove them completely.
5.2 – Slide the plate + bracket assembly (12) to the desired position.
5.3 – tighten the 8 screws (11) mentioned at point 5.1 again.N.B: ARM is equipped with a safety limit switch (13) so that the
product is safe under all conditions (even if the profile is vertical and
therefore the support could fall due to gravity after the screws (11) have
been loosened could fall).
Maintenance
Do not try to service this product yourself, except as specifically explained in this User’s Guide. Refer all other servicing to qualified service personnel.
HARDWARE’S INSPECTION
The ELPMB79 arm adapter does not require special maintenance, but a visual
inspection must be conducted before each installation involving the system.
Please conduct a visual inspection to ensure that all screws are in the
correct positions and none are missing.
Tighten any loose hardware as needed to maintain stability and prevent the
risk of the projector falling or becoming misaligned.
Ensure that screws, nuts and all components are not bent, damaged, or broken.
Please use the appropriate tool to check that all screws are securely
tightened.
If any parts are broken or missing, please contact the seller to obtain the
necessary spare parts.
CLEANING
Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe down the mount’s surfaces, removing any
dust or dirt.
For stubborn stains or dirt buildup, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a
mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
Avoid using harsh chemicals that may damage the mount’s finish. Ensure that
the mount is completely dry before reattaching the projector to prevent any
electrical issues.
LUBRICATION OF MOVING PARTS (IF APPLICABLE):
If the projector mount includes moving parts such as hinges or swivel
mechanisms, apply a small amount of lubricant to ensure smooth operation.
Use a lubricant recommended by the manufacturer to prevent damage to the
mount’s components.
CONCLUSIONS
By following this maintenance plan, you can keep your mount adapter and in optimal condition, prolonging their lifespan and ensuring reliable performance for your presentations or entertainment needs.
