  8. Preparation before installation
Install an all-pole switch with a contact separation not less than 3 mm and specifications not lower than 230 V-240 V~15 A and a leakage protection switch (with a leakage current of 30 mA or less ) between the fixed wring and the main body of this product.

HOW TO INSTALL

Main body installation Method 1
The main body position between joists from 390 mm to 580 mm can be adjusted flexibly.

  1. Open a mounting hole in the ceiling board. dimensions as shown in the table below:

    • * A. 264±2
    • B. 284±2
      Notice
If joists are from 390 mm to 460 mm, the bracket needs to be cut, please see the picture at right.
  2. Connecting the duct pipe – > Refer to Section 5.Duct Pipe Connection.

  3. Measure the D1 distance between the joist and the opening edge.
For the other side of the D2 distance please see the below formula to figure out: D2=L-D1-L1

  4. Loosen the 2 screws on the bracket 1 and bracket 2.

  5. Adjust the bracket 1 and bracket 2 to the distance D1, D2, and then tighten the screws to fix the distance D1, D2 of the bracket 1,2.

  6. Fix bracket 3 to the bracket 2, use ø4 x 10 self-tapping screws.

  7. Place the mounting bracket assy into the ceiling.
    Notice
The distance between the ceiling board is not enough to place the bracket assembly on the ceiling, can place brackets 1,2, and 2 3 on the ceiling separately, and then fix bracket 3 to bracket 2 in the ceiling.

  8. Fix the bracket assy to the joist, Use ø4 x 20 (4 pcs) self-tapping screws.
    Notice
The corner on the side of the fixed adapter should be aligned with the Angle of the ceiling opening.

  9. Install the adapter to the bracket 3’s hole. Use ø4 x 10 (1 pcs) self-tapping screw.

  10. Connecting power cord

WARNING

  • Please select 60227 IEC 53(RVV) ordinary polyvinyl chloride sheathed cord. The nominal cross-sectional area of conductors is 2×1.5 mm2.²
  • For the stripping length, please prepare according to the wiring sketch (refer to Figure 1). If the stripping length is too long, a short circuit or fire may be caused.
  • Do not damage the sheath of the power cord, otherwise an electric shock or short circuit may be caused.

CAUTION
Strand the core wire together after stripping, then insert them into about 8 mm deep position of the terminal block, ensuring that the part is under the spring slice, and no copper core cord is exposed outside. Make sure that the copper core cords are fixed by screws reliably (the recommended screw fixing torque is 0.49 N.m) (See Figure 2). Otherwise, an electric shock may be caused.

  1. Remove the screw (1 pcs) on the cord cover, then open the cord cover.

  2. Loosen the screws of the cord clip. (2 pcs)

  3. Loosen the screws of the terminal, insert the indoor power cord (not supplied) into the terminal, then tighten the screws. Fix the power cord with the cord clip. (The cord clip must pin the insulation sheath of the power cord.)

  4. Fix the cord cover by the screw which was removed by step 1.

  5. Push the main body upward into the ceiling board. Install the main body, Use ø4 x 20 (4 pcs) self-tapping screws.
    Notice

  6. Be sure the condition between the main body and the adapter is proper.
It can be checked from the inspection hole.

  7. Please be careful not to damage the power cord when pushing the main body into the ceiling.

  8. After completion of the installation work, be sure the condition between the main body and the adapter is proper. It can be checked from the inspection hole.
    Notice
If the adapter fails to cling to the main body, it may cause air leakage.

  9. Make sure the screws fix the main body in the hanger 2 slot.

Main body installation Method 2

  1. Make a wooden frame and install it onto the ceiling joist. Ensure that the total thickness of the wooden frame and ceiling board should be 25 mm~30 mm. Meanwhile, open a mounting hole in the ceiling board with dimensions as shown in the table below: (unit: mm)

  2. Remove one screw from the adapter.

  3. Use one ø4 x 20 self-tapping screw in the supplied accessories to fix the adapter on the ceiling board (please install the screw fixing hole according to the size requirements in the figure).

  4. Connecting the duct pipe Refer to Section 5. Connecting duct –> Pipe.

  5. Connecting power cord –> Refer to Section 1 0 Connecting power Cord.

  6. Push the main body upward against the adapter into the ceiling board and wooden frame, snap the locating slot of the adapter into the clamping position of the main body (to avoid air leakage), and firmly fix the main body with four ø4 x 20 self-tapping screws.
    Notice
Please be careful not to damage the power cord when pushing the main body into the wooden frame.

  7. Use one ø4 x 20 self-tapping screw to fix the main body. Be sure to fix this screw because it can prevent the main body from falling off the ceiling board.

  8. After completion of the installation work, be sure the condition between the main body and the adapter is proper. It can be checked from the inspection hole.

Notice
If the adapter fails to cling to the main body, it may cause air leakage.

Installing louver assembly

  1. Remove the filter assembly from the louver assembly.
  2. Hang the louver assembly into the hook on the main body.
  3. Snap the clamping position of the panel assembly into the long fixing hole of the main body.
  4. Fix the louver and the main body with one M4 x 10 screw in the supplied accessories.
  5. Install the filter assembly back into the louver assembly.

WARNING
When installing the ceiling board, be careful not to scratch the power cord. Otherwise, an electric shock may be caused.

Connecting duct pipe (Not supply)

  1. Install the duct pipe onto the adapter, and then bind them tightly with adhesive tape. Suspend the duct pipe from the ceiling board to prevent external force exerted on the unit body.
  2. Install the pipe cap or pipe cover on the external wall. (Please purchase a pipe cap or pipe cover separately according to the pipe size.)

Notice

  1. The minimum diameter of the hole: is 110 mm.
  2. This duct pipe length should be as moderate as possible. It will affect product performance if it is too long.
  3. The duct pipe connected to the outside of the room must be slanted to prevent rain or condensed water from flowing backward.
  4. Failure to install a pipe hood or vent cap may result in the entry of birds, insects, rats, etc.

Installing the remote controller assembly

  1. Remove the remote controller, and then remove the controller holder together with the bottom box cover of the remote controller.

  2. Drill two ø8 mounting holes in the bathroom wall, as shown in the figure below. Make sure that the mounting position is kept away from direct spraying of the shower. Then fix the remote controller with two ø4×16 mm screws. (Install the remote controller in the direction of the “ ↑ UP” symbol.) CAUTION
Do not install the remote controller assembly in a place where it is easily splashed by water. (Otherwise, it may not be applicable.)

  3. Close the bottom box cover of the remote controller and the controller holder, and check that the buckle on each side is locked. (Install the remote controller in the direction of the “ ↑ UP” symbol.)

  4. Pull in the remote controller and the bottom box cover of the remote controller.
