However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment OFF and ON, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: (a) Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. (b) Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. (c) Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. (d) Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/ TV technician for help.

How To Use

  • Power Source.
  • The AIR20 must be connected to a power supply in order to operate. It is recommended that the vehicle is ON / Running when operating the inflator to protect against draining the vehicle’s battery.
  • Connecting to the Battery.
  • Carefully read and understand the vehicle owner’s manual on specific precautions when connecting to battery. Identify the correct polarity of the battery terminals on the battery. The positive battery terminal is typically marked by these letters or symbol (POS, P, +). The negative battery terminal is typically marked by these letters or symbol (NEG, N, -).
  • FOLLOW THESE STEPS WHEN CONNECTING TO THE BATTERY IN VEHICLE. WARNING: A SPARK NEAR THE BATTERY MAY CAUSE A BATTERY EXPLOSION. TO REDUCE THE RISK OF A

SPARK NEAR THE BATTERY :

  1. Position cables to reduce risk of damage by hood, door, or moving engine part.
  2. Stay clear of fan blades, belts, pulleys, and other parts that can cause injury to persons.
  3. Check polarity of battery terminals. The POSITIVE (POS, P, +) battery terminal usually has a larger diameter than the NEGATIVE (NEG, N, -) battery terminal.
  4. Connect the POSITIVE (RED) battery clamp from the portable inflator to the POSITIVE (POS, P. +) ungrounded battery terminal. Connect the NEGATIVE (BLACK) battery clamp from the portable inflator to the NEGATIVE (NEG, N. –) battery terminal.
  5. The Display on the AIR20 will turn ON automatically when connected correctly.
  6. When disconnecting the AIR, disconnect in the reverse sequence, removing the negative first.

Connecting Air Hose.
Connect the air hose on the AIR20 to the tire before starting inflation. The air hose will screw onto the tire’s air valve. No tools are necessary and should be hand tightened. If the inflator is not connected properly the air may leak and will not run as efficiently. For other applications, attach the required adapter for the intended purpose. Adapters screw to end of the air hose. Hand tighten the adapters, no tools are required for tightening.

  • Display.
The Display will turn on when connected to a power supply. When the Display is in Pressure Set Mode and the “POWER” button is pressed, the compressor will turn on and will display the actual pressure and the “SET” LED will turn off. NOTE: The Display will not show pressure when inflating with Manual Mode. When the compressor is on, the current pressure unit LED will be solid white.

  • Initialization.
When the inflator is connected to a power supply, the unit will display either the detected pressure or the set pressure. If more than 3 PSI is detected, then the detected pressure will
be displayed with the “SET” LED being off. If 3 PSI or under, the last “SET” pressure will be displayed with the “SET” LED being on. To set the pressure, press the < or > buttons. The minimum pressure that can be set is 15.0 PSI. For applications requiring less than 15.0 PSI, it is recommended to use Manual Mode.

  • Setting Pressure Unit.
To change the units for pressure, hold the “<” and “>” buttons down simultaneously for 3 seconds, the selected pressure units will flash and the rest of the display is turned off. Pressing the < or > buttons within the next 3 second window will turn on the LED of the next pressure unit and turn off the previous unit LED. This operation will continue until nothing is pressed for 3 seconds, the selected unit will be solid white and the display will turn back on.

  • Auto-Memory.
The inflator has a built-in auto-memory and will return to the last set unit and pressure when connected.

  • Dynamic Dwell.
As the inflator approaches its set target pressure, the inflator will turn “on” and “off” (e.g., the dwell period) to ensure accurate pressure measurements. The inflator measures, monitors, and automatically adjusts the pressure during each dwell period. The dwell period may continue until the inflator can accurately top-off to the set pressure.

  • Automatic Shut-Off.
The AIR20 is built with an Automatic Shut-off feature. The compressor will turn off when the desired pressure has been reached, the air hose is disconnected or if the battery voltage drops below 10.0V. The Display will remain on after the Automatic Shut-off. NOTE: Automatic Shut-off will not occur when operating in Manual Mode.

  • Manual Mode.
To enter Manual Mode, set the pressure to 0.0. Press the power button to turn on the compressor and the compressor will run until the power button is pressed again (or maximum pressure limit of the unit is reached or an error has occurred such as overtemperature, etc.). During Manual Mode the display will cycle LEDs. When Manual mode is shut off, the display will show the current pressure.

Interface

  1. Power Button Push to start or stop inflating.
  2. LED Display When unit is disconnected or below 3 PSI, display will indicate the SET pressure. When the Display is above 99.9, the decimal will not light up to indicate 100 or above.
  3. SET LED Illuminates solid orange when LED Display indicates the set pressure.
  4. Unit LEDs Only one Unit LED, (PSI, BAR and KPA) will illuminate solid White at a time to indicate the current units for pressure on the LED Display.
  5. Arrow Buttons Hold both Arrow Buttons to begin changing the pressure units. When LED Display is on, use the Arrow Buttons to change the set pressure.
  6. Light Mode Button Toggles the ultra-bright LED light through 6 light modes: 100% > 50% > 10% > SOS > Blink > Off.
