Congratulations on your purchase of the Housegard LUMA Hub! This easy-to-use guide will help you set up and make the most of your new device.

HOW IT WORKS

PREPARATIONS

  1. Ensure you have a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi router with an internet connection.
  2. Activate Bluetooth and connect your mobile phone to the home Wi-Fi.

INSTALL SMART LIFE APP AND ADD THE HUB

INSTALL SMART LIFE APP

  • You can download the app by searching ”Smart Life” in mobile app stores or scanning below QR code, create an account, and log in.

Note

  • Due to app upgrades, instructions may vary slightly. Follow in-app instructions if needed.

ADD THE HUB TO 2.4GHZ WI-FI NETWORK

  1. Open the app.
  2. Connect the hub to power.
  3. The hub will automatically appear in the Smart Life app.
  4. Follow the app instructions to add the hub.

Note

  • You can change the hub’s default name during setup by clicking on the PEN icon

ADD DEVICES TO THE HUB

  1. Open Devices and click Add Device.
  2. Follow app instructions to add devices.
  3. If you have interlinked Housegard LUMA alarms already, adding one device will automatically add all.
  4. If not, add all Housegard LUMA alarms individually.

Note

  • You can pair multiple devices of the same type simultaneously.

SETTINGS OF HUB

NOTIFICATIONS

  • Fire triggered:
    • When an alarm is triggered, a notification will indicate which specific device has been activated. You will be able to locate or silence the alarm in the app.
  • Test event:
    • When the test button has been pressed.
  • The device is offline
    • When the hub or device power is disconnected or the hub or device offline.
  • Low battery:
    • If battery level is below 10% .
  • Tamper event:
    • If someone removes an alarm from its mounting plate.
  • Tamper recovery event:
    • If someone re-mounts an alarm to its plate.

FACTORY RESET

  • To reset the hub, press the reset button ten times rapidly.
  • The blue LED indicator will flash slowly for 5 seconds, indicating the reset.
  • This deletes all devices, hub-APP bindings, and configurations. The red LED flashes for 60 seconds.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

PROBLEM ACTION
I’m not receiving alarm notifications on mobile phone. Check app settings on

phone and allow/trust notifications from Smart Life app.
Hub doesn’t appear in App| Turn on Bluetooth

WARRANTY

This device comes with a 5-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. (Valid from date of purchase.)

Liability under the warranty is limited to the value of an equivalent hub device. Defective devices should be returned to the retailer, along with a description of the problem. If the claim is approved, the faulty goods will be replaced with a device of the same or an equivalent type. Any claim must be accompanied by a receipt confirming the date of purchase.

DISPOSAL

In accordance with the WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU, waste electrical products should not be disposed of with regular household waste.
