Product Usage Instructions
Step 1: Remove Plastics
- Remove the hood by twisting the two quarter-turn locks.
- If applicable, open the front window, remove plastic rivets, and lift the dash panel.
Step 2: Secure & Plug-in Controller
- Remove the diagnostic connector cover and plug in the connector from the reverse light wiring harness.
- Plug the bus bar connector into the bus bar.
- Secure the controller, relay, and fuse using the provided screws.
Step 3: Mount Light
- Attach the light to its bracket and ensure the bolt is slid through before attaching the bracket to the light.
- Remove T-40 bolts and lift the plastic section of the roof.
- Cut a 1/4 x 1/4 square on the edge of the plastic to run the wire into the cab using a utility knife.
- Place the wire in the cab, reinstall the roof, and mount the mounting bracket as instructed.
Step 4: Route Power to Light
Run the wire through the firewall grommet and up the inside of the passenger-
side pillar following OEM wiring until it can be retrieved from inside the
hole.
Step 5: Assemble Connector
- Push the red wire into the hole marked 1 and the black wire into hole 2 on the connector until they click into place.
- Push the cap onto the top of the connector.
- Plug the connector into the light and secure the wire with zip ties.
Step 6: Reinstall Plastics
Operation of Reverse Lights
Our controllers have a manual override feature allowing you to turn on the
back-up lights without the vehicle in reverse. To turn off the lights, repeat
the procedure. Note that turning off the ignition while in reverse or enabling
manual override will keep the\ lights on until the ECU enters sleep mode
(approximately 30 secs to 2 minutes).

Installation Instruction
Step 1: Remove Plastics
- Remove the hood (twist the two quarter-turn locks).
- Open the front window (if applicable), remove the plastic rivets, and lift the dash panel.
Step 2: Secure & Plug-in Controller
- Remove the diagnostic connector cover, plug in a connector that comes with a reverse light wiring harness, and plug the bus bar connector into the bus bar.
- Secure the controller, relay, and fuse using provided screws.
Step 3: Mount Light
- Attach the light to its bracket. Be sure to slide the bolt through the bracket before the bracket is attached to the light.
- Remove the T-40 bolts and lift the plastic section of the roof.
- Use a utility knife to cut a 1/4“ x 1/4“ square on the edge of the plastic to run the wire into the cab.
- Place the wire in the cab, reinstall the roof, and mount the mounting bracket as shown below.
Step 4: Route Power to Light
Run the wire through the firewall grommet and up the inside of the passenger- side pillar (following OEM wiring) until it can be retrieved from inside the hole.
Step 5: Assemble Connector
- Assemble the connector by pushing the red wire into the hole marked “1”, and the black wire into the “2” hole. Push the wires in until they click into place and lock into the connector. Finally, push the cap onto the top.
- Plug the connector into the light and secure the wire using zip ties.
Step 6: Reinstall plastics
Operation of Reverse Lights
Our controllers have been programmed with a manual override feature. Back-up lights may be turned on without the vehicle in reverse.
- Fully Automatic when shifted to Reverse Gear
- No programming required
- Manual Override Function
- Shift the vehicle into Neutral
- Press and hold the brake pedal for up to 2 seconds. The reverse light will automatically turn on and stay on.
To turn the light off repeat this procedure.
Note:
If the ignition is turned off while the vehicle is in reverse, or the manual
override function is enabled the lights will remain ON until the ECU enters
sleep mode (approximately 30 secs to 2 minutes depending on vehicle and ECU
type).
