Product Usage Instructions

Installing the Batteries

  1. Remove batteries before storing the toy tray and walker.
  2. Unpack all contents and ensure all parts are present.
  3. Use a screwdriver to unfasten the battery cover located on the underside of the toy tray (C).
  4. Insert 2 x AA 1.5V batteries into the battery compartment.
  5. Close the battery cover and secure it with a screwdriver.
  6. Batteries are not included.

Assembly

  1. Adjust the seat height suitable for your baby. The top of your baby’s feet should lightly touch the ground when they are sitting in the walker.
  2. There are three different height positions available for adjustment.
  3. Ensure all elements (wheels, stoppers, seat) are properly assembled and adjusted for safe use.

INSTALLING THE BATTERIES

  • WARNING: Remove batteries before storing the toy tray and walker.
  • Unpack all contents and check that all parts are present before starting assembly. Please refer to the parts list.
  • Use a screwdriver to unfasten the battery cover located on the underside of the toy tray (C). Lift the cover to open the battery compartment. Insert 2 x AA 1.5V batteries and close the battery cover. Secure with a screwdriver.
  • Batteries are not included.
  • CAUTION: To prevent possible battery leakage, be sure to follow the guidelines outlined below.
  • Alkaline batteries are recommended for longer battery life.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries.
  • Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
  • Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged.
  • Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
  • Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
  • Batteries are to be inserted correctly by matching the + and – polarity markings.
  • Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.
  • The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
  • Dispose of exhausted batteries properly.
  • Remove batteries when the product is stored for long periods.
  • Use a small cross-head screwdriver to open the battery compartment door on a toy.
  • Insert the battery as indicated inside the battery door and re-attach the battery compartment door with the screw.

ASSEMBLY

  1. Place the walker (A) on a solid flat surface with the bottom facing upwards. Insert the pins of the front universal wheels (E) into their housings. Push firmly until they “click” and lock into position.
  2. Insert the rear directional wheels (F) into their housings, and push firmly until they “click” and lock into position. Pull on wheels to ensure they are properly inserted.

  3. Insert the safety grip pads (D) into the receiving holes located on the underside of the walker base.
    • Push firmly on the pads until they are tightly secured to the walker base.
    • Pull up the safety grip pads to ensure they are properly inserted.
  4. Open the walker by raising the tray to the top position. Hold the base with one hand while lifting the tray with the other.CARETERO-CARIO-Baby-Step-Walker-FIG-5
  5. Insert the pins located on the front of the seat unit (B) into the holes on the front seat opening located on the walker base. Push down on the plastic pins until they click into position.
  6. (A) Firstly, insert the two outer pins built in at the fastening parts to the round hole in the upper tray.
    • (B) Move the plastic fastening panel to the right, so all 3 pins line up correctly.
    • (C) Move the plastic panel downward to the lowest position to complete the assembly.

  7. To attach the rear of the seat, insert the 4 clips of the seat into the corresponding slots in the top tray.
    • a. After you insert the clips into the slots, turn each of them by 90° on the underside of the tray. Make sure each clip has been fastened well.
    • WARNING: Always make sure the seat unit is correctly fitted before use.
  8. Place the activity toy tray (C) into the recess located on the top tray. Push firmly down until the notches engage. To release, press the locking buttons from underneath the tray.
    • NOTE. The on/ Off switch is located on the underside of the toy tray.

HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

  1. Adjust the seat height suitable for your baby. The top of your baby’s feet should lightly touch the ground when they are sitting in the walker.
  2. There are three different height positions available.

  3. The locking mechanism is located on the underside of the top tray. Turn the safety lock horizontally and press inwards until the mechanism is released. With the lock still pressed in, select new height.
    • When the new position has been selected, release the lock and ensure it has turned 90° back to its original virtual position.
    • WARNING: When the position has been selected, check the safety button is turned 90° to prevent accidental release.
    • WARNING: Do not adjust height when the baby is in the walker.
    • WARNING: Ensure the mechanism is locked before placing the baby in the walker.
  4. To fold the walker turn the safety lock as shown. Push the lock to release and hold the lockdown. Easily lower the walker into a completely folded position.

  • It is very important to assemble and adjust all of the walker’s elements properly (wheels, stoppers, seat).
  • A properly assembled and regularly maintained walker will serve your child longer and better.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

  • This product requires regular maintenance to ensure correct and safe performance.
  • Regularly check all parts of the product to ensure that they are operating correctly and for signs of wear or damage.
  • Do not use this product if any part is broken, torn, or missing, and use only spares provided by the manufacturer.
  • Do not store this product outside or where it is exposed to sunlight for extended periods.
  • Wipe metals and plastics clean with a damp cloth.
  • Hand wash or spot clean the seat pad with warm water and a mild detergent. Wash separately. NEVER use bleach. Dry in the shade thoroughly before reuse and avoid direct heat and sunlight.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Do not iron.
  • Do not dry clean.
  • Do not use abrasive pads, bleach, or strong household cleaners.
  • Safety grip pads: To maintain stopping performance, regularly clean with warm water and a household soap or mild detergent.

SAFETY

  • Read the instructions carefully before use and keep them safe for later reference! There is a risk of injury to the child if the instructions are not observed!
  • The maximal permissible load for this product is 12 kg.
  • This walker is not intended to be used outside of buildings. Never use this walker if the ground is wet slippery or loose.
  • This walker may not be used by more than one child at a time!

WARRANTY LIMITATIONS

  • The warranty does not cover destruction or loss of any parts of this walker due to falls, abrasions, improper assembly, usage without accordance with this manual, careles riding, lack of maintenance, or using non-original or additional parts.

WARNINGS

  • Read the instructions carefully before use and keep them safe for later reference! There is a risk of injury to the child if the instructions are not observed!
  • Never leave the child unattended;
  • The child will be able to reach further and move rapidly when in the baby walker:
  1. prevent access to stairs, steps, and uneven surfaces.;
  2. guard all fires, heating, and cooking appliances;
  3. remove hot liquids, electrical flexes, and other potential hazards from reach;
  4. prevent collisions with glass in doors, windows, and furniture;
  5. do not use the baby walking frame if any components are broken or missing;
  6. this baby walking frame should be used only for short periods (e. g. 20 min.);
  7. do not use replacement parts other than those approved by the manufacturer or distributor;
  8. this baby walking frame is intended to be used by children who can sit unaided, approximately from 6 months. It is not intended for children weighing more than 12 kg or more than 78 cm in height;
  9. follow routine maintenance and cleaning or washing instructions;
  • Never allow the baby to put small elements in its mouth;
  • Always instruct the baby on how to use this product properly;
  • Never use this product on open roads;
  • For the safety of your baby, remove all plastic bags from the playing area;
  • Never use this product in the vicinity of water containers (swimming pools, rivers, etc.) or any other obstacles;
  • Never use this product in dark areas;
  • Keep the product packaging away from the child to avoid suffocation;
  • Before each uses chech whether all elements are attached properly;
  • This walker is designed for use by one baby at a time only;
  • The assembly of this product may be conducted only by an adult.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

  1. IKS 2 Mucha Sp. J. provides a warranty for the purchased product for 24 months from the date of purchase.
  2. The Guarantor guarantees the buyer that the product will function properly when used for its intended purpose and instructions for use.
  3. Product defects detected during the warranty period will be removed free of charge within 21 days from the date of delivery, via the Seller, to the Website. The warranty period will be extended by the repair time.
  4. If you detect a defect or experience problems with use, please contact the point of sale retail store with the product being complained about, a completed warranty card, and a receipt or other attached proof of purchase.
  5. The complained product must be returned for repair in a clean condition.
  6. The basic way to resolve a complaint is to repair the product, restoring its usable value.
  7. The fact and date of warranty repair are confirmed by the Service on the universal warranty card.
  8. The warranty is valid in the territory of the Republic of Poland.
  9. The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable to any other person or entity.
  10. The warranty for the product sold does not exclude, limit, or suspend the buyer’s rights from non-compliance of the goods with the contract.
  11. All other matters and disputes will be resolved by the appropriate court.
  12. We recommend keeping the original packaging to protect the product from damage that may occur during transport to the Service.
  13. The warranty does not cover:
    • damage resulting from improper storage
    • mechanical and thermal damage resulting from improper use or use inconsistent with the instructions for use
    • changes in color (discoloration) of the fabric when exposed to strong sunlight or using inappropriate agents chemicals
    • tearing of the fabric resulting from the buyer’s fault
    • natural wear of elements resulting from the use
    • a situation in which the product was not delivered to the Service complete with the original proof of purchase
    • damage caused by a fall
    • attempts to repair the product or make any design changes by third parties
