  • Do not use tools on the timer. Hand tighten only. The use of tools may damage the timer.
  • Do not allow the timer to freeze. Freezing temperatures can permanently damage your timer.
  • Keep the filter washer clean and in place when using the timer. Replace the filter if damaged. Debris entering the timer may prevent it from closing.
  • For cold water outdoor irrigation use only.
  • When low power, please replace the batteries to avoid the interruption of normal operation; when replacing the batteries, please make sure that the battery tray is dry.
  • Severe electrical shock could result if water is sprayed into outlets or sources of electrical current. Never immerse the product in water.

Button Rules

  • MINUS (- button: Numbers decrease / Move backward.
  • *PLUS () button:** Numbers increase / Move forward.
  • Simultaneously press and hold the MINUS plus buttons for 3 seconds to activate/deactivate the child lock.
  • SET button : Short press to switch between program setting items (start time/end time/water/pause); Press and hold for 3 seconds to enter/exit the programming setting.
  • OK button: Short press to confirm the setting and navigate to the next setting;
  • Press and hold for 3 seconds to enter/exit OFF mode.

Installation

Install The Batteries

  1. Remove the battery compartment cover on the backside of the timer.
  2. Insert 4 new AA (1.5V) alkaline batteries (not included).
  3. Firmly reinstall the battery compartment cover back into the timer to ensure water resistance.

NOTE:

  • This device supports setting the time and week only right after installing the battery. Please set the time and week before installing the device.
  • For specific instructions, please refer to the Key Function Guide section.
  • Only new 1.5V AA alkaline batteries can be used. Please do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zine), or rechargeable batteries.
  • Batteries should be removed from the timer at the end of the watering season and replaced with new ones at the beginning of the next watering season.

Install The Timer

  1. Turn off the garden faucet.
  2. Screw the timer to the garden faucet and make the display as vertical as possible to the ground. While rotating, please follow the direction of the thread.
  3. Screw the garden hose to the timer outlet.
  4. The stainless steel filter has been built in. Use an O-ring / adapter / quick connector / PTFE tape if necessary.
  5. Please turn on the tap after programming the timer.

NOTE:

  • Please do not use tools, only install the timer by hand.
  • When expecting freezing temperatures, timers should be removed from the hose faucet and stored indoors to avoid potential freeze damage.
  • The filter can trap dirt particles, please clean the filter regularly and replace it if worn.

Activate The Timer Before Use

Please activate the device before using it for the first time or after a period of inactivity:

  1. Keep the faucet turned off.
  2. Press and hold the Manual button for 3 seconds, and set the manual time. With a “click” sound, the valve inside the timer opens for manual watering. After a few seconds, press and hold the Manual button for 3 seconds again, the “click” will sound again, and the valve will close.
  3. Turn on the faucet a little bit, and hold the Manual button for 3 seconds to check if the water flows out or shuts off as expected. If yes, the valve is normal, please use it with confidence! If not, please repeat the above steps several times.
  4. The test is over, and everything is normal, please keep the faucet fully turned on!

NOTE:

  • When testing, please keep away from the water outlet of the timer to avoid being splashed and wet.
  • The valve is activated usually, but due to various factors such as external force or the environment during storage and transportation, the valve may be protectively closed. In this case, you need to activate the timer manually.

Software Installation

Download the Smart Life App

  • Scan the QR code on the right or search for “Smart Life” on the App
  • Store or Google Play to download the Smart Life app.

Registration or Log-in

  • Enter the Register / Login interface.
  • Select “Register” to create an account by entering your phone number for the verification code and setting the password.
  • Choose “Log in” if you already have a Smart Life account.

Add device

  • Press and hold the OK button for 3 seconds to enter OFF mode. While in the OFF mode, press and hold the Manual button for 3 seconds to initiate the network configuration is flashing.
  • Enter the “Home” interface of the APP, click + in the upper right corner, select the “Add” button in the pop-up window, and finally click + to enter the Wi-Fi password interface;
  • Please turn on the Bluetooth of your phone in advance.
  • Select 2.4G Wi-Fi and enter the password, click “Next”, and then wait for the connection to succeed.
  • After the addition is successful, click “Done”, and the Wi-Fi smart Water Timer has been added successfully.

Key Function Guide

Time Setting

  • NOTE: After a successful connection to the network, the timer will automatically synchronize with the time and day of the week on your phone.
  • Upon completion of battery installation, the timer will automatically enter the setting for the time and day of the week. Whenever you need to set the time, please remove and reinstall the battery compartment.
  1. Press the “+” or “-” button to select AM / PM and set the current hour and minutes, then press the “OK” button to confirm. Pressing and holding the “+” or “-” button can increase the value of time quickly.
  2. Press the “+” or “-” button to switch the day of the week, then press the “OK” button to confirm.
  3. The default setting is 11:00 am on Friday.

Program Setting

  • The device supports two timer schedules: Normal schedule and Cycle schedule.
  • Once programs are set, the default display will show the next watering schedule. You can short-press the “+” or “-” button to toggle and view different programs.

Choose a Normal or Cycle schedule

  • Press and hold the “SET” button for 3 seconds, and the timer will enter the programming setting state. The NORMAL icon flashes first.
  • Press the “+” or “-” button to switch between the NORMAL and CYCLE modes. Press the “OK” button to confirm and enter the specific setting.
  • The device supports up to 6 programs. Press the “+” or “-” button to switch between programs, and press the “OK” button to confirm. Before entering the specific setting, press the “+” or “-” button to toggle the ON and OFF for this program, then press the “OK” button to confirm. When a program is set to OFF, it will automatically return to the main display interface.
  • NOTE: Each time you set up a program, you can modify all existing programs or set up a new one. For example, If you have already set up P1 and P2, you can modify both P1 and P2 or set up a new P3.

Normal Schedule

  • You can set start time, end time, and water day in a normal schedule.
  • To set the start time and end time, press the “+” or “-” button to select AM / PM and set the current hour and minute. Then press the “OK” button to confirm. Pressing and holding the “+” or “-” button can increase the value of the time quickly.
  • To set water day, When the day of the week icon flashes, press the “OK button to enable/disable watering for that day. Press the “+” or “-” button to switch between different days of the week.
  • Short press the SET button to switch between start time/end time/water day.
  • Press and hold the SET button for 3 seconds, or leave the timer inactive for 10 seconds, to save the programming settings.

NOTE:

  • The end time cannot be earlier than the start time, otherwise, the timer will show an ERO error.
  • If no watering days are set, the watering program will run only once by default.

Cycle Schedule

  • You can set start time, end time, water duration, pause duration, and water day in a cycle schedule.
  • To set the start time, end time, and water day, please follow the same steps as described above for the normal schedule.
  • During the programmed watering time, water breaks down into multiple cycles to give the soil time to soak the water in for efficiency. To set the duration of water and pause, press the “+” or “-” button to adjust the value, and confirm with the “OK” button.
  • NOTE: The duration of water and pause cannot exceed the total duration of the program, and it cannot be set to 0. Otherwise, the timer will show an ER2 error.

Manual Watering

  • Manual watering allows you to water without interrupting your set schedule.
  • Press and hold the Manual button for 3 seconds, and the timer enters the manual watering setting. If the water value blinks, press the “+” or “-” button to adjust the manual time value by hours first, and then by minutes.
  • Press the OK button to confirm, the timer will start manual watering.
  • To exit manual watering, press and hold the Manual button for 3 seconds again.
  • After the manual watering is over, the timer will return to its previous state.

Rain Delay

  • Rain delay allows you to postpone watering for 24 / 48 / 72 hours, and it will not interrupt your original schedule.
  • Press and hold the SET + OK button for 3 seconds to enter the rain delay setting.
  • The delay value blinks, press the “+” or “-” button to toggle between 24, 48, and 72 hours of rain delay time. Press the OK button to confirm, the timer will enter the rain delay state.
  • To exit the rain delay, press and hold the SET + OK button for 3 seconds again.

OFF Mode

  • OFF mode allows you to stop the watering plan for an extended period.
  • Press and hold the “OK” button for 3 seconds, the timer will enter OFF mode, and the screen will display the word OFF. The timer will not water automatically while in OFF mode, and your settings are saved.
  • To exit OFF mode, press and hold the “OK” button for 3 seconds again.

Child Lock

  • Press and hold the “+” and “-” buttons for 3 seconds to activate / deactivate the child lock.

Low Battery Reminder

  • When the battery power is less than 20%, the battery power icon “3” flickers and it is recommended to replace the new battery as soon as possible before use.

Common Issues

  1. The LCD screen does not display anything when the batteries are installed.
    • Check if:
    • The 4 batteries loaded are not new 1.5V AA alkaline batteries.
    • The batteries are not properly placed as per the mark of +/-.
  2. The hose tap connection/outlet leaks.
    • Check if:
    • The O-ring is connected correctly to the hose tap.
    • The connection outlet or water pipe is broken.
    • The faucet and water pipe have a different thread. If necessary, please use an appropriate adapter or PTFE tape.
  3. Water does not come out at preset time
    • Check if:
    • The clock should be set to the correct time.
    • The start time is set to desired the time.
    • The rain delay is on.
    • OFF mode is on.
    • The batteries are low.
    • The faucet is turned OFF.
