- If fitted, lower the spare wheel. On chassis cab models, removal of the hook bracket may be required. (Do not discard -this will be refitted later).
- Some adjustments to the step may be required to ease the fitment of the towbar. Loosen bolts and adjust the step’s position as required.
- On vehicles that have a stiffener between the chassis: Remove the stiffener and drill the two rearmost holes to accommodate the M12 bolts (5). Re-fit the stiffener and attach but do not secure sidearms (2) using bolts (5) and the original M10 fixings from the forwardmost holes to the chassis. On twin rear wheel vehicles only: Fitment of spacers (3) & (4) is required as shown in the diagram above.
- On vehicles that do not have a stiffener between the chassis: Attach, but do not secure, the sidearms (2) to the chassis using bolts (5).
- Attach, but do not secure, the crossbar (1) to sidearms (2) using bolts (6). Crossbar (1) can be fitted either way up to allow more options for tow ball height.
- Check alignment and then fully tighten all nuts & bolts to the recommended torque values (See table above).
- Re-fit the spare wheel, using the large hole in the sidearm (2) for the hook.

dimensionally conforms to A50-1 with a ‘D’ & ‘S’ value greater than or equal
to that of the towbar.
