IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ELECTRICAL CONNECTION OF INDUCTION HOB & HOOD:

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT BOTH APPLIANCES ARE CONNECTED TO THE SAME POWER LINE (Fig. A), AS THIS WILL MAKE EASIER THE CONNECTION PROCESS, AND SHALL PREVENT FROM ANY LOSS.

  • Electrical installation and connection of the appliances should be carried out by qualified professionals.

(Follow the rules and indications for this induction-hood connection specific set up manual. See consumption ratings, wiring section and phas e, neutral and earthdirection)

If the appliances were ordered togethe r, the set up process has already been done in the factory, and if the hob and the hood were connected to the mains simultaneously, upon conne ction they will be set together hence begin the process no t necessary.
If at any time the induction hob was connected to the mains and the hood was not, the dual hood-hob connection will be lost and the process in point 1 must be repeated.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INDUCTION & HOOD CONNECTION SET UP.

ATENTION: To carry out the process “it’s necessary to disconnect the mains at the same time” both induction hob and the hood. If both devices are not connected in the same power line, the process can be equally perform switching off main differential from the circuit breaker ensuring disconnection of main to both devices at the same time, see Fig. B, page 2.

CONNECTION SET UP

WHEN SWITCHING ON THE INDUCTION HOB

  • Press on the ON indicator of the induction hob. The hob and hood start up in automatic mode at the same time, only the hood lights come on. The hood motor does not start when we switch on an inductor.
  •  The central indicators on the hob light up.

NOTE: If nothing happens within 20 seconds, the protection device will activate and the system i s disconnected.

AUTOMATIC” MODE OPERATION

  • Place a pan on any part of the cooking area, such as a pot with water to be boiled.
  • The hob will detect the presence of a pot, and will activate the power led in this area..
  • When this power indicator led moves, the cooking area inductor will automatically turn on and aut omatically the hood do the same .
    • The hood airflow speed is set by the power at which the induction LED is placed. The association between the induction power levels and the hood motor speeds are detailed below:

INDUCTION

| HOOD

AIRFLOW SPEED LEVEL

3 – 5| |
6 – 8| | 3ª / int.

  • The hood Airflow Speed Level is automatically set according to the power LED position over the specific cooking area accordingly.
  • In automatic mode, the hob display will show the hood motor speeds off and will not reflect the value.

AIRLINK LAST TIME:

When we finish cooking and switch off the induction, the Timer  or Hood Last Time functio n will be automatically set up, leaving the engine running at 2nd speed for about 5 minutes, then it will turn off completely. This function ensures a proper around left air cleaning and getting rid of any smoke inside hood and ducting.

(Comfort for the customer, since the hood provides the user with the Last Time, so that he does not have to look for this function.)With this automatic system that keeps the hood on for 5 minutes, we ensure the extraction of fumes, odours and condensations inside the hood, ducting, and thus ensuring also a fine ventilated environment)

In order the Airlink Last Time system to work properly, the hob must be turned off, setting the heating zone on “0” level, and then the hob.

(It is necessary to press the keys in the right order and time between each press, so that the Airlink system works correctly in the set mode)

Once the Airlink Last Time system is set up, the hood will stop a utomatically in 5 minutes. Should you wish turn it off before that you will have to do it using the hood remote control.

(The system is completely automatic, when activated it will stop only when the set time passes, but if you want to stop it before, you always have the option of using the hood remote control)

It is advisable when we want to turn off the induction, first turn off the inductor or co oking zone individually, and then with the general off button of the hob, because if we switch off directly with the general, the control of the hood could go to manual mode and stay switched on with the previously selected speed in automatic mode.

MANUAL MODE OPERATION

NOTE: When in this mode, the hood and hob work separately, where the hood can be activated by using the hob controls (PICTURE) or those on the hood itself.

Activation from de hob:

  1. By pressing the light control, can be turn off or on .
  2.  When the hood is switched off from the induction control in manual mode, the Last Time function will be automatically activated.

Activation from the hood:

The hood can be controlled individually, using the controls on the keypad. (See hood operation manual)

NOTES WHEN D. WORKING IN AUTOMATIC MODE.

  •  By turning on the induction hob, the hood touch control is set in automatic mode and the main hood lights are turned on.
  •  If the hood light turns off via the hob control, it automatically goes into to manual mod e.
  •  In automatic mode, the hood lights will ALWAYS BE LIT UP.
  •  If any key on the keypad of the hood are pressed, this order shall prevail over the Hob “Auto” function. This order will be cancelled by varying the cooking power using the hob cursors. (That is, the AUTOMATIC MODE has priority when the inductor power is changed.)

OVERALL NOTES

  •  Orders that are given to the hood from the induction hob, have a few seconds delay until the hood executes the order, being this normal. If several orders are pressed very quickly on the hob, it is possible the hood might skip on some of these orders or switch to manual mode because it has not had time to process them.
  •  The Hob touch controls will never control the optional courtesy lighting, if present in the hood.
  •  The Eco Design timer function, which is incorporated into the hood in compliance with European r egulation 65/2014, prevails over the automatic functions and Hood manual control from the induction hob, i.e., when it is working at high or maximum speed, it will slow down in a few minutes, even if the induction hob is set at higher speeds.
  •  Orders executed from the hood button panel will not be visible in the hob touch display, nor must t hey match with what it displays.

TROUBLESHOOTING

THE HOOD DOES NOT RESPOND TO THE INDUCTION HOB, NO COMMUNICATION, WRONG ASSOCIATION ORDERS, AUTOMATIC FAILURE MODE:
The connection between hood and hob has been lost, due to a power cut off or variation in the supply, such as the hood going out of power for an instantor minutes while the induction hob remains connected, this is enough for the connection to belost or to malfunction.
SOLUTION: Carry out the connection process as indicated in the manual (page 2 and 3), making sure that both appliances are switched off and connected simultaneously.
