START UP/SHUTDOWN

Charge completely before first use.
Orient the UFO with GO UP side facing up. Find the small gold circular button and slightly adjust/turn the white inner plastic housing for easiest access to the power button. Use a pen or the end of your finger to press down to turn the power to ON. LED lights will be in flashing mode. Press again and hold for one second to turn the power OFF (LED’s are now off). It will be easy to do after you become more familiar with it. Never stick you fingers inside the safety cage while the blades are spinning. It is designed to prevent injury but always play safe and use common sense.

CHARGING PROCESS

After a crash, the LED’s will flash and the motor will stop spinning. If you shake it and can’t get the motor to turn on, it is likely that the battery needs recharging. Charging time is 30-40 minutes. This product contains overcharge protection. However, you should set a timer as a reminder and disconnect from the USB charger when charging is complete. Never leave a charging battery unattended.

Turn UFO power switch to OFF. Gently insert the USB charger pin into the UFO charging port and then connect to a USB charging hub such as a laptop. USB has red LED indicator which is on when charging and off when charging is complete. Use only the USB charging cable provided or contact us to purchase a replacement charging cable.

Approximate flight time is 10-11 minutes. Variables include wind, altitude, and temperature.

Store this product with the product turned OFF to retain battery life for future use. For long term storage, use an elastic band for the charger and UFO and store items together.

WARNING

Avoid strong windy conditions. Do not throw the UFO like a ball. Never throw the UFO hard at people or animals. Make sure others around you are aware you are playing. Ensure you have an open space (away from valuable/fragile items) with which to operate. Make no alterations to this product nor add any weight/ decorations.

Always operate in a safe environment, away from vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists. Play away from situations that may be dangerous such as cliffs, water, power lines etc. Use common sense and courtesy.

Do not use this product in the rain, near swimming pools or puddles etc. – and NEVER immerse this product in water. Keep all liquids away from this product.

Although the outer cage is flexible, do not press down on the frame when blades are spinning. Never press the cage/frame so hard that you bend it out of shape.

FLIGHT MODE

1. Hold the UFO securely in your hand and shake it up and down (about 3-5 times) and the three blades will start to rotate. LED’s change from flashing to luminous.

2. There are 2 markings on the centre housing (top/bottom) of the UFO: “Go up” and “Down”. ALWAYS orient the UFO with “Go up” marking facing up. Always gently toss and release.

   • Solo Toss on a 30-45° angle (wind from blades blowing away from you)

   • Toss with others on a 30-45° angle (wind from blades blowing toward you)

   • Higher angled tosses result in faster speed

   • Experiment with vertical and horizontal angles and see the impact on trajectory

   • Blades will keep spinning for throw and catch until you stop flight mode, power it off, crash or the battery becomes depleted and requires charging.

   • For all tosses, gently toss it away from you, its flight power comes from the rotating blades, not the strength of your throw. Do not throw it like a ball. With a little practice, you can master your tossing skills. Try tossing it underhand and overhand.

STOPPING FLIGHT MODE

After you have caught the UFO, or if it’s on the ground or floor and it’s still spinning, simply shake it again (3-5 times) to get the blades to stop spinning. Now you can either press the Power Button off (see Start Up/Shutdown) or shake it again to get it back up and spinning, ready for more play. Built in sensors stop the motor after a significant crash.
