Q: How do I know when the Champ-e tablet is fully charged?

Introduction

The Champ-e™ tablet is a high performance, light weight, compact, portable gaming device. Each handset contains internal batteries for power, and also has internal memory to store and run the products, games, and patterns used to play Bingo. Between sessions, each tablet rests in the Charge-e Charge Rack, where it charges automatically.

To operate, a Video King e-BOS bingo system is required, which includes a computer, running suitable e-BOS components. The Charge-e Charge Rack is not connected to the network as it only provides power; therefore it must be plugged in to a power outlet. Sales are made by purchasing product, which generates an account. Once the transaction is complete, the hall employee removes a handset from the rack and hands it to the player who has paid for use of that handset. The Player will also receive a receipt which contains the account number. Players log into the Champ-e using that account number.

Hardware

The Champ-e tablet is a rechargeable, hand-held device used for playing bingo electronically. Tablets communicate on a wireless network and may or may not automatically record called balls. It is important to note that though the tablet supports many different features, they are not available in all jurisdictions depending on legal requirements and legislation. Should your jurisdiction require the limitation of automatic dabbing, for example, then the Champ-e tablets provided to you will not offer that feature.
Please consult your local jurisdictional authorities if you are uncertain what is and is not allowed in your area.

Turning the Tablet On and Off

To turn the Champ-e tablet on, press and hold ON/OFF button. It is located in the upper-left top of the device. The screen will illuminate after a few seconds.
To turn the Champ-e tablet off, press and hold the ON/OFF button for 5 seconds. The tablet will display a menu asking the user to either:

1. Power off the tablet
2. Power Off and Restart the Tablet
3. Turn On/Off Airplane Mode

Screen
The screen on the Champ-e is a 10 inch, full color, high-resolution LCD display. The screen is touch-sensitive and the touch screen is used for all interactive game-play.

Speakers/Volume Control
The Champ-e includes Stereo speakers used to play sounds and messages to the user. Volume controls are contained in the software applications. Please note that the hall may select the maximum volume available (including no sound) so the highest volume available may be different from one hall/casino to another

Stand
On the back of each unit is an adjustable stand that allows the tablet to rest on a table and be easily viewed by the player.

Charging the Champ-e

The Champ-e includes two charging rails on the back of the unit that protrude through the stand when the stand is in the closed position. These charging rails mate with the two charging plates on the shelves of the Charge-e rack when the tablet is placed in the rack in the face up orientation.
When the tablet is charging a Green Light will begin blinking on the Charge-e rack charging shelf. When the tablet is completely charged the green light stays on continuously.

The device is designed to meet the requirements for exposure to radio waves established by the Federal Communications Commission (USA). These requirements set a SAR limit of 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. The highest SAR value reported under this standard during product certification for using at the body is 1.196W/kg.
