ROTWILD R.E375,R.X375 E-Mountain Bike User Guide
You can download the Quickstart Guide on the ROTWILD website in the following languages:
NOTE
The Quickstart Guide does not replace the user manual. You should always read
it in addition to this quick guide. You can find the user manual on the
ROTWILD website.
You turn on your bike by pressing the power button on the IPU. If you hold it
for more than three seconds, the system will shut down again.
If the battery level is low, you can charge your ROTWILD bike directly on the
frame. To do this, connect the supplied charging cable to the charging port at
the bottom of the down tube.
You can choose different levels of support while you are riding using a
separate button on the handlebars. You use the button on the display to change
the riding data shown.
You switch on pushing aid mode by pressing and holding the bottom button of
the support switch for more than two seconds. To end pushing aid mode, you
press the top button of the support switch.
When the bike is stationary, you press the display button to access the settings menu and confirm or change items on the menu. Once you have selected the menu, you can use the level of support button to scroll through the menu items.
Using the PROJECT app, you can update your bike’s firmware and personalise the
pedalling support. You can also adapt the support profile to your riding
style.
Once you have logged in, you can choose to register your bike. If your bike is
switched on, it should be identified via Bluetooth. The app shows a list of
the units identified on your bike is displayed.
Once you have confirmed the list, your bike is paired with your smartphone.
By contrast, the RIDE app gives you an overview of your ride data, such as the
ride time and speed. You can also record your routes and share them on Strata.
You can pair your bike with your smartphone by opening the app and choosing
the continent and country where you will be using the app.
You are then asked to log in with your Shimano ID. Switch your ROTWILD bike on
and activate Bluetooth on your smartphone. Your ROTWILD bike should now appear
on your smartphone screen. Select it and confirm that you want to pair your
phone with it.
NOTE SAFETY NOTES
The safety information is a part of the user manual, which describes all
relevant information. The digital user manual can be downloaded from
www.rotwild.com.
Users have the right to receive the user manual in paper form free of charge.
If needed, the printed user manual can
be ordered from us.
Reading the safety information does not exempt you from the duty to read and
follow the user manual!
Failure to follow the user manual can lead to dangerous riding situations,
falls, accidents, and property damage.
Contact your specialist dealer if you cannot carry out the described work on
your bike (e.g., making adjustments) yourself, if you feel unsure, or if you
do not have the proper tools.
SAFETY NOTES
Failure to adhere to the intended use can result in the failure of
components and materials, posing a risk of accidents and injuries:
Observe the limitations of the specified intended area of use. You can find
the assignment in Chapter 3 “Important
to Know” in your user manual and on your frame identification. Do not exceed
the permissible total weight (bike +
rider + any load). You can find the permissible total weight and the weight of
your bike in Chapter 4 “Technical Data” in your user manual. Note that your
bike is designed for the regular transportation of a single person.
Tampering with the drive system, particularly tuning, is not allowed.
Check your bike for possible damage before each ride, especially the frame,
fork, handlebar/stem unit, drive unit, and seat post. Do not use your bike if
any damage is detected.
Be aware of an increased risk of injury due to potentially high temperatures
of individual components (e.g., brakes,
drive unit).
Observe the guidelines for carrying objects as described in the user manual.
Follow the legal regulations applicable
in your country for use on public roads. When transporting your bike, follow
the instructions in Chapter 10 “Transporting Your ROTWILD Bike,” as well
as those of the authorities or the transport company. Before each ride, check
the proper functioning of the brakes, steering, suspension, and if applicable,
the lights, ensure the handlebars, stem, wheels, mudguard, and pedals are
securely fastened, and check the tire pressure. Inspection and adjustments
must be carried out according to our guidelines in Chapter 6 “ROTWILD
Details” of the user manual.
Familiarise yourself initially with the riding and braking behavior, as well
as the electric assistance modes and the
walk assist (if available), especially with different suspension settings, in
wet conditions, and on loose surfaces.
In case of damage or malfunction, your bike must be inspected by your ROTWILD
specialist dealer before further use.
Have your bike regularly inspected and maintained by your ROTWILD specialist
dealer according to the guidelines in Appendix I “Inspection Notes” to avoid
hazards, such as those caused by wear.
Observe the specified torque values (Nm) for the assembly of components. Your
specialist dealer will be happy to assist you with this.
Use only batteries and chargers approved by us. Follow the guidelines in
Chapter 6 “ROTWILD Details” for charging and using the battery, particularly
regarding ambient temperature and the location of the charging process. Use
only undamaged and unaltered batteries and chargers.
