Do not use appliances with damaged or worn seals.
-
Do not use appliances that are leaking, defective or not working properly.
-
The appliance may only be used outdoors or in well-ventilated spaces. The national requirements apply
-
to the supplying of combustion air and
-
to avoid the build up of dangerous quantities of unburned gas.
-
The appliance must be used on a horizontal surface on which its operation is not restricted (free from dry grass, sand, etc.)
-
The appliance must be used at a safe distance from flammable materials. A minimum lateral safety distance of 0.5 m must be maintained from all nearby surfaces (walls) and objects, as well as a minimum safety distance of 1 m from objects positioned above the appliance.
-
Never place two stoves closely beside one other. The above-mentioned safety distance must be maintained at all times.
-
Make sure that the ventilation slots in the cartridge component cover 4 are free at all times.
-
Gas cartridges must be replaced in a well-ventilated area, preferably outdoors away from all potential sources of ignition such as naked flames, pilot lights and electrical cooking appliances and away from other people.
-

Risk of injury! -
WARNING! If gas is leaking from your appliance (smell of gas), take it outside immediately to a place with good air circulation and no sources of ignition, where the leak can be located and repaired. Only check the leak tightness of your appliance when outdoors. Never use flame to locate a leak, use soapy water instead!

Take care always to place cookware on a non-combustible, heat-resistant surface.
Before use
Selecting the gas cartridge
Only use gas cartridges that are suitable for the appliance. This product may
only be used with the Kemper “Type 577” butane cartridge or the Nola “Art. No.
707” butane cartridge. It can be dangerous to attempt to connect other types

Fitting the gas cartridge (figs. A, B and C)
- Gas cartridges must be fitted in a well-ventilated area, preferably outdoors away from all potential sources of ignition such as naked flames, pilot lights and electrical cooking appliances and away from other people.
- Make sure that the gas control and ignition button 5 is in the “closed” position.
- Make sure that the cartridge lever 6 is in the “released” position.
- Open the cartridge compartment cover 4 by folding it upwards.
- Check that the seal between the appliance and the gas cartridge 9 is present and in good condition.
- Remove the protective cap from the gas cartridge and keep it safe so that the gas cartridge can be stored at a later stage.
- Position the gas cartridge so that the flap 7 fits into the cartridge slot and the gas cartridge valve extends into the 8 gas inlet.
- Close the cartridge compartment cover 4 .
- Push the cartridge lever 6 down to the “locked” position. The gas cartridge is now firmly connected to the gas inlet 8 and the side protection 3 is folded up.
- Check whether the connection is tight by listening and smelling. The connection is not tight if you can smell gas or hear gas escaping. Take the appliance outside immediately to a place with good air circulation and no sources of ignition, and do not attempt to switch on the camping stove under any circumstances.
- The camping stove is ready for use once it has passed the leak test.
The camping stove is now ready to use.
4. Use
Switching on and off, adjusting the flame (Fig. D)
Proceed as follows to ignite the camping stove and adjust the flame:
- Make sure that the cartridge lever 6 is in the “locked” position.
- Turn the gas control and ignition button 5 anticlockwise until it locks into the “maximum gas flow” position.
- Continue to turn the gas control and ignition button 5 anticlockwise using a short, sharp hand movement until you hear a “click”, repeating several times if necessary until the flame ignites. The camping stove is now burning at its highest level.
- Wait for around 30 seconds until the flame has stabilized and then turn the gas control and ignition button, if required, 5 clockwise towards “reduced gas flow” to obtain a smaller flame.
Proceed as follows to switch off the camping stove:
- Turn the gas control and ignition button 5 clockwise until it locks into the “closed” position.
- Make sure that the flame has gone out.
- Allow the camping stove to cool down before storing it away.
- Remove the gas cartridge from the camping stove as described below if the appliance is not going to be used for a long time.
Removing and replacing the gas cartridge
WARNING! When replacing the gas cartridge, check that the burner 1 has
gone out completely before loosening. Risk of explosion! Take care as the gas
cartridge could be hot. Gas cartridges must be removed / replaced in a well-
ventilated area, preferably outdoors away from all potential sources of
ignition such as naked flames, pilot lights and electrical cooking appliances
and away from other people.
Proceed as follows to remove and / or replace the gas cartridge:
- Fold up the cartridge compartment cover 4 .
- Remove the gas cartridge from the camping stove.
- Insert a new gas cartridge as described in the section “Fitting the gas cartridge”
Safety equipment
Folding side protection
The folding side protection 3 prevents you from using a cooking pot that is
too wide. If the cooking pot is too wide, the heat from the burner may radiate
onto the gas cartridge causing it to overheat, which can lead to dangerous
situations (risk of explosion).
- Functionality: when a downward force is applied to the side protection, for example due to the weight of a pan, it will fold down. At the same time, the gas cartridge is released from the gas inlet 8 and the flame goes out.
- As specified, only use pans or pots with a maximum diameter of 23 cm. This will prevent this safety equipment from being triggered.
- Never attempt to bypass this safety equipment.
Pressure-sensitive safety equipment
Pressure-sensitive safety equipment 8 is integrated in the gas inlet. This
prevents the camping stove from being used if the pressure in the gas
cartridge is too high.
- Functionality: The pressure of butane gas in the gas cartridge increases when heated. If the pressure in the gas cartridge exceeds a critical point, the gas cartridge is released from the gas inlet (8) and the flame goes out.
- If this happens, proceed as follows:
- Allow the camping stove and the gas cartridge to cool down until they have reached room temperature.
- Identify and rectify the cause of overheating or overpressure. This is usually caused by insufficient safety distances or blocked ventilation slots.
- Only switch the camping stove on when you are confident that it cannot overheat again.
- Never attempt to bypass this safety equipment.
Maintenance, cleaning, storage and transport
Maintenance and repairs
- Do not make any alterations to the appliance.
- Check regularly for any damage to the rubber seal.
