3. Plug the power plug into the wall outlet.
Insert the power plug into its matching wall outlet with rated voltage and
current. The power plug can be plugged into the socket immediately after
installation of the refrigerator. When the power is turned on, the periphery
and surface (sides) of the refrigerator may be very hot. (When the ambient
temperature is 30°C, the temperature of the refrigerator is about 50°C to
60°C), which is normal. (P. 23) After unplugging the power plug, wait at least
10 minutes before plugging the power plug again. (P.25)
4. Cooling the refrigerator interior
It takes about 4 hours to cool the refrigerator interior. In summer, it takes
24 hours or longer to cool the refrigerator interior evenly. The ice can be
made only after the refrigerator interior is completely cooled. Do not
open/close the refrigerator doors until the refrigerator interior is
completely cooled. (The warm air flow is to enter the refrigerator interior
and hinder the cooling function.)
Requests
Do not place items on the top of the refrigerator.
The operation of the compressor on the top of the refrigerator also generates
heat. If the heat builds up without release, it may reduce the cooling
capacity of the refrigerator.

Troubleshooting
If the refrigerator does not work properly, please check the following
situations first. If the malfunction still exists, please disconnect the power
plug and contact the dealer or authorized service center. The following sounds
are normal.
From the refrigerator interior. The sound of crackling. It comes from the
expansion and contraction of the parts due to temperature changes. The sound
of humming It comes from the running fans. The sound of tinkling It comes from
the vibration of the wine bottles in the Door Shelf due to the running
compressor.
The sounds produced by the Ice compartment and the Water supply tank.
The sounds of whirring, clicking and bubbling They come from the Automatic Ice
Maker when it releases ice or supplies water.
The sounds from the rear. Ths sounds of bubbling, hissing and flowing They
come from the flow of the refrigerant (gas).
From the lower back. The sound of whirring It comes from the indoor fans in
the machine room.
Upper part of the back. The sound of ticking It comes from the running
electronic components and compressors. The sound of humming It comes from the
running compressor. The change in tone depends on the changing speed of the
compressor to adapt to the temperature change. The sound of clicking It comes
when the compressor stops.
When opening the door of the Freezer compartment
The sound of hissing It comes from the evaporation of water heated by the
heater in the defrosting process. The sounds of knocking and flapping They
come from opening and closing the drawer.
When opening the door of the Prime Fresh Compartment.
The sounds of knocking and flapping They come from opening and closing the
drawer.

The noise interference
The sound of knocking
The continuous noises.
The top of the refrigerator gets hot. The padding plates on the top (or sides)
get hot.
The sides look curved. Open the door immediately after it being opened and
closed, the door is very heavy. The magnets cannot be sticked to the doors.
Ice making is not working.
The interior of the ice cubes is not frozen. The shape of ice is not “cubic”.
Place the refrigerator on a solid and flat floor, make the two adjustable feet
contact the floor, and fix the refrigerator. (P. 6) Check if the sides or back
of the refrigerator, or the power cord touch the wall or furniture around the
refrigerator? Place the refrigerator so that it does not touch the surrounding
objects.
When the cooling function of the refrigerator is running, the compressor or
fan may make loud noises. For example, the refrigerator has just been
installed and has not been cooled down before; the refrigerator doors are
frequently opened and closed; the temperature around the refrigerator is too
high, or the fresh freezing is set on. The noises thereby are normal. After
the refrigerator cools down, the noises are reduced.
When the floor is uneven or the door is closed harshly, the refrigerator is to
vibrate and result in noises. Place a board under the refrigerator to prevent
it from vibration. (P. 6)
This is due to the compressor speed adjustment controlled by the frequency
converter. (The noises may not stop, but this is not abnormal.)
Mechanical parts release the heat. (P. 7)
The surfaces of left and right padding plates may get hot to release the heat
when the refrigeration system is running. After installation of the
refrigerator or in summer, the temperature of the padding plates may become 50
to 60 degree (when the ambient temperature is 30).
During the manufacturing process, the sides may look bent or show surface
density, but this is not abnormal.
The air entering the refrigerator cools down sharply. The interior pressure is
lower than the exterior air pressure instantaneously. The door seems to be
pulled inwards.
The doors are made of glass. No magnet can be sticked to the doors.
When using the refrigerator for the first time, wait until the interior
sufficiently cools down before making ice. (It may take 24 hours or longer.)
Make sure that AUTO ICE is set. (P. 16 ) Push the Water supply tank in as far
as possible. Push in the Ice making tray until a click sound is heard. (P. 16)
Make sure the Ice making trayis locked. (P. 21) Do not put foods and other
items in the Ice storage box. (P. 15) Only take out the Ice making tray when
needed.
Is the temperature setting for the Freezer compartment too low? Increase the
temperature of the Freezer compartment.
There are protrusions. The groove of the Ice making tray may be frozen. The
ice cubes are round or sticked to other ice cubes. Have the ice cubes been
stored for a long time? (The ice cubes are round or sticked together.) The ice
cubes are small. When there is no water supplied from the Water supply tank,
small ice cubes are formed sometimes.

Smell
Ice smell. The interior smells. Does not cooling down at all. Does not get
cold enough.
Frost and dew
Foods get frozen.
Clean the Water supply tank and Water purification filter once a week. (P. 21
) Do not clean the Water supply tank and Water purification filter with a
detergent or bleach. Replace the Water purification filter once every 3 years.
(Parts sold separately; P. 27 )
Store the foods with strong smells in airtight containers. The peculiar smell
usually adheres to the interior wall. Wipe the refrigerator interior walls
with a soft cloth soaked in warm water.
Make sure the power is on, the power cord is connected to the socket, or the
circuit breaker is not broken.
When the refrigerator is used for the first time, it takes 4 to 24 hours or
longer (in summer, etc.) to start its refrigerating functions. Change the
temperature setting to a lower temperature. (P. 9 ) Ensure that no foods block
the cold air outlet. Do not place the refrigerator in direct sunlight. (P. 6 )
Ensure there is enough space around the refrigerator. (P. 6 ) If too many
foods are stuffed inside the refrigerator or the “Fresh Freezing” function is
used for a long time, it may take longer to cool down the refrigerator.
When the humidity is high, do not open the doors for a long time or
frequently. When an accessory (such as pipe rack) purchased in a store gets
stuck in the refrigerator door, remove the accessory. If the foods fall out
from the back of the Freezer compartment or the Prime Fresh compartment , the
door is not opened and closed correctly. Taking out the food. When the
humidity is high, frost may form on the outer surface of the refrigerator.
Wipe the frost with a dry cloth.
Increase the temperature setting of the refrigerator. Check whether the
ambient temperature is 5°C or below Lower the temperature setting of the
refrigerator. Do not put foods with high moisture content near the cold air
outlet or the Partial Freezing compartment.
