Receiver Overview & Thermostat Pairing

Receiver overview & thermostat pairing
- LED: Receiver on/off indicator.
- LED: WiFi status / WiFi pairing button.
- Button: Short press to turn the receiver on/off, long press for WiFi pairing.
- LED Button: Heating status of Thermostat 1.
- Press to enter code pairing mode for Thermostat 1, the LED will flash quickly
- Turn off Thermostat 1, and long press the M button until the code shows on the screen, and then press the button.
- Wait until the LED has stopped flickering, once it has the code pairing has been successful, and shows on the screen
- LED Button: Override status of Thermostat 1. Press and hold to enable override, and press again to disable override.
- LED: Button Heating status of Thermostat 2.

Note: Kits come supplied pre-paired, if one or more thermostats need pairing to the gateway, follow the above steps.
Wi-Fi configuration Preparation
- Ensure that the smartphone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network to which you would like to attach the device.
- Ensure that you have a mobile device running iOS 8 or higher, or Android 4.1x or higher, and a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection.
- Download the ClickSmart+ App on your mobile device from the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Sign in or Register following the instructions on the ClickSmart+ App.
Installation Instructions
- On the ClickSmart+ app’s home page, click on the “+” symbol in the top right corner of the home screen.
- Then click on “ESP” on the left-hand side.
- And finally, click on “Smart WiFi 3Ch Programmable Thermostat Kit”.
- The app will then display on-screen instructions for pairing the CHSTAT3CHK receiver (CHSTAT3CHK-R) with the Wi-Fi network.

Thermostat 1 (single heating zone)
Clock & weekday setting
- Turn the thermostat on, then press and hold the “M” button for 3 seconds, set the clock (Minute-Hour-Weekday) by pressing or , each press of the “M” button will go to the next item setting.
7-day program schedule
- Press and hold “P” for 3 seconds to enter the program setting.
- Set the schedule (minute-hour-Temperature-period-day) by pressing or ~~~~, each press of the “P” button will go to the next item setting.

Mode selection
Press “M” to select PRG (program) mode, MAN (manual) mode, or Eco mode.
Open window detect function (OWD function)
- Whilst the “open window detect” function is enabled in the parameter settings, the system will automatically stop heating when it detects a sudden drop in room temperature (2°C within 15 minutes as default).
- This is normally caused when a window and/or door is opened without turning off the heating.
- The device will return to the previous mode of operation after 30 minutes and then will disappear. Press any button to exit the OWD function during the heating-off period.
Child lock
- Under child lock-on (refer to section 3.1.6 of the Thermostat 1’s parameter settings), the buttons will lock once the backlight has turned off.
- Press & together for 5 seconds to unlock the thermostat temporarily for adjustments

- Adjust the value by pressing or each press of “M” will go to the next item.

Installation
Thermostats Wall mounted
- Carefully seperate the front half of the thermostat from the back plate by placing a small flat-head terminal screwdriver into the slots on the bottom face of the thermostat.
- Mark 2 hole positions on the wall using the back plate as a positioning template. Drill at the marked positions and insert a raw plug into each hole. Screw the thermostat’s back plate securely on the wall.
- Remove the battery cover, and insert the batteries or plug in a USB type-C cable.
- Clip the front of the thermostat back onto the thermostat back plate.
Freestanding Installation
- Carefully seperate the front half of the thermostat from the back plate by placing a small flat-head terminal screwdriver into the slots on the bottom face of the thermostat.
- Remove the battery cover, and insert the batteries or plug in a USB type-C cable.
- Clip the front of the thermostat onto the provided holder.
Receiver Wall mounted
- Using a screwdriver, slightly loosen the screw located at the base of the receiver.
- Position the receivers backplate against the wall, fixing it into place using the screws provided
- Terminate the cables on the receiver as shown in the wiring diagram (section 4.2.2).
- Caution: Before any installation and/or maintenance, ensure that the electrical supply is switched off at the breaker.
- Mount the front panel back onto the back plate, and tighten the retaining screws on the base.
- Switch on the power supply, the power LED will illuminate.
Wiring
- Connect the 230V mains supply and load cable into the backplates terminals which are marked below.
- Caution: Before any installation and/or maintenance, ensure that the electrical supply is switched off at the breaker.
