Introduction
- The UltraFlo® H2O series ultrasonic water meter is a new type of water meter specially designed for agricultural irrigation, garden management, and water resources monitoring.
- The water meter has some advantages, such as low cost, high measurement accuracy, low power consumption, stable and reliable operation, and so on. The thickness of the water meter is only 2 inches(50.8mm), which saves installation space, and the IP68 scheme is adopted for all parts so that the water meter can be used in various harsh environments. The unique structure of the water meter makes the measurement free from the influence of water quality and pressure loss, which is a breakthrough in agricultural irrigation water measurement.
- The UltraFlo® H2O Series Flow Meter utilizes ultrasonic technology to maximize water efficiency. It has no moving parts and is lightweight making it an excellent choice for plastic piping systems. The UltraFlo® H2O all-plastic design provides excellent protection against corrosive environments and flooded wet conditions

Detailed Menu
Calibration Method
- The water meter is calibrated via the constant-flow method.
- The constant-current method is to make the calibration device (standard water meter) and tested water meter into a stable flow state at a set flow point and calibrate the water meter by measuring accumulative flow at the same time.
- Different calibration methods may cause errors. If use start-stop method to calibrate the water meter, it may cause errors. Try to extend the calibrating time when you use the start-stop method to calibrate the water meter, and make sure the duration of each turn-on time should be more than 60 seconds at least.
Communication
This series of ultrasonic water meters/heat meters can support multi-protocol communication at the same time. For example, in the same application, the above-mentioned multiple protocols can be used together or mixed. Without doing any firmware or parameter changes.
Communication Interface
- The ultrasonic water/heat meter is equipped with 3 physical serial communication interfaces, one is an IR infrared communication interface, one is a TTL/USART level interface, and the other is an RS485/MBUS Parallel dual interface.
- USART is a logic-level serial interface, suitable for direct connection to other external MCUs, such as communication modules such as NB-iot, Lora, etc., and can also be directly connected to pressure and temperature modules such as SPI interface, etc., with power consumption Very low features.
- The IR infrared communication interface is the standard interface of this series of ultrasonic water meters, which meets the standards stipulated in CJ188.
- The IR infrared communication interface will automatically enter the low power consumption state within 300 seconds without communication. Touch the button to wake up the infrared interface; the above three physical serial communication interfaces are independent of each other, allowing the three serial ports to be accessed at the same time without interfering with each other.
Serial Communication Interface Default Settings
- RS485/MBUS
- 9600, N,8,1IR 9600, N,8,1
- TTL/USART 9600, N,8,1
Change serial port default settings
Serial port parameter setting can be done through a PC -based software named
V00_SETUP. The current serial port parameters are displayed in the M26 menu.
Supported Communication Protocols
- MODBUS
- M-BUS
- CJ188
The above protocols can be supported at the same time. Some protocols can be cross-supported at the same time.
