APA 29101 Grease Gun
PROPER USE OF THE PRODUCT
The grease gun is designed exclusively for conveying lubricating greases.
This device is not designed to be used by children or persons with limited
mental abilities or without experience and/or lack of required specialist
knowledge. Keep children away from the device.
The device is not designated for commercial use.
Use according to the intended purpose also includes the observance of all
information in these instructions, particularly the observance of the safety
instructions. Any other use is considered to be contrary to the intended
purpose and may lead to material damage or personal injuries. The EAL GmbH
will not assume any liability for damage resulting from improper use.
WARNING
Read the operating instructions carefully prior to initial use and observe all
of the safety notes!
Not observing such may lead to personal injury,
damages to the device or your property! Store the original packaging, the
receipt and these instructions so that they may be consulted at a later date!
On transfer of the product, please include these operating instructions as
well. Please check the contents of package for integrity and completeness
prior to use!

SPECIFICATIONS

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
- **** The warning triangle indicates all important safety instructions. Always follow these, otherwise you could injure yourself or the appliance could be damaged.
- Children must not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.
- **** Do not leave the packaging material lying around carelessly. This can become a dangerous toy for children!
- Only use this product for its intended purpose!
- Do not tamper with or dismantle the appliance!
- Excess pressure can cause the grease gun head and accessories to burst!
- Do not use force when operating the hand lever.
- Do not use any extensions or other aids. Observe
- Do not exceed the operating pressures specified in .
- Excess pressure at the lubrication point can destroy the grease nipple and possibly the bearing or the machine!
- **** Observe the maintenance and service instructions of the machine manufacturer.
- Defective accessories can lead to personal injury and damage to property!
- High-pressure hoses must not be kinked, twisted or stretched.
- The accessories must be checked for abrasion, cracks or other damage during the period of use.
- Damaged accessories must be replaced immediately.
- Wear suitable protective clothing.
- For your own safety, only use accessories or spare parts that are specified in the instructions or whose use is recommended by the manufacturer!
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
OVERVIEW

BEFORE FIRST USE
Before first use, the high-pressure hose (position 2 in the overview) must be connected to the press head (position 4 in the overview). To do this, screw the hose thread (position 3 in the overview) into the hose connection (position 10 in the overview) and tighten it (Fig. 2).
FILLING THE GREASE GUN
The grease gun can be filled with a cartridge, manually or by suction.
FILLING WITH CARTRIDGE
**** Do not open the grease gun under pressure! Before separating the gun head from the gun housing, the pushrod must be pulled back and locked in place by the pawl.
Pull back the push rod (position 5 in the overview). Lock the push rod by
turning it so that the pawl (position 6 in the overview) can engage. Unscrew
the press head (Fig. 3).
Remove the sealing cap from the cartridge and insert the cartridge into the
press housing (Fig. 4).
Open the cartridge (Fig. 5) and then screw the press head back on.

Pull the push rod out slightly to release the pawl, twist the push rod and
then push it back into the press housing (Fig. 6).
FILLING WITH LOOSE GREASE
**** Do not open the grease gun under pressure! Before separating the gun head from the gun housing, the push rod must be pulled back and locked in place by the pawl.
Pull back the push rod (position 5 in the overview). Lock the push rod by turning it so that the pawl (position 6 in the overview) can engage. Unscrew the press head (Fig. 2).
Use a spatula to fill loose grease into the press housing (Fig. 7).
Then screw the press head back on.
Pull the push rod out slightly to release the pawl.
Twist the push rod and then push it back into the press housing (Fig. 6).
FILLING BY SUCTION
Do not open the grease gun under pressure! Before separating the gun head from the gun housing, the push rod must be pulled back and locked in place by the pawl.
Pull back the push rod (position 5 in the overview). Lock the push rod by turning it so that the pawl (position 6 in the overview) can engage. Unscrew the press head (Fig. 3).
Pull the push rod out slightly to release the pawl, twist the push rod and then push it back into the press housing (Fig. 6).
Hold the press housing in the grease container.
Slowly pull out the push rod so that the press housing can fill with grease
(Fig. 8).
Then screw the press head back on.
Press the push rod back into the press housing.
**** Clean the grease gun carefully after each filling; contamination from grease adhering to the outside can cause accidents and injuries.
ESTABLISHING OPERATIONAL READINESS
Vent the grease area by loosening the press head and press housing (max. ½ turn) or by operating the hand lever several times.
The grease gun is now ready for operation.
OPERATION
Excess pressure can cause the grease gun head and accessories to burst!
Use suitable protective equipment such as protective gloves and eye protection when using the grease gun.
Place the grease gun with the coupling (position 1 in the overview) on the
grease nipple (Fig. 9).
Carry out the lubrication process by pressing the hand lever (Fig. 10).
The grease gun can be easily detached from the grease nipple by tilting and
turning the coupling (Fig. 11).
**** Never attempt to release the clutch by pulling it straight.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem | Possible cause | Solution |

MAINTENANCE AND CARE
The grease gun generally requires little care and maintenance. Due to the operator‘s obligation, the following parts must be checked regularly to prevent damage to the environment, property or persons:
- Press head
- Screw connections
NOTES REGARDING ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Dispose of the packaging according to type.
Dispose of cardboard and carton in the waste paper bin and film in the
recycling centre.
Dispose of the product in accordance with the laws and regulations applicable
in your country.
The materials are recyclable. Through recycling, recycling, material recovery
or other forms of reuse of old appliances, you are making an important
contribution to protecting our environment!
