Press the “off / delete” key to exit the volume measurement. -
Indirect measurement of the Pythagorean theorem
The instrument presets three modes to measure the one-sided triangle distance using the Pythagorean theorem, which is convenient for users to measure indirectly in specific environments. Press the “Pythagorean indirect measurement” key to select the indirect measurement mode of the Pythagorean theorem.
1. Press the “Pythagorean indirect measurement” key and the display shows a triangle and the hypotenuse “a” flashes. After setting the measuring point, press “on/measure” to measure the hypotenuse of the triangle. The legs flash. After setting the measuring point, press “on/measure” to measure the leg of the triangle. The instrument automatically calculates the other leg “h”, and the calculation result is displayed in the main display area and the measurement results of “a” and “b” are displayed in the auxiliary display area. Press the “on/measure” key to delete the result of the last measurement and make a new measurement.
2. Press the “Pythagorean indirect measurement” key twice, the display shows two triangles and the hypotenuse “a” flashes. After setting the measuring point, press “on/measure” to measure the hypotenuse a of the triangle. The legs flash. After setting the measuring point, press “on/measure” to measure the leg “b” of the triangle. The hypotenuse “c” flashes. After setting the measuring point, press “on/measure” to measure the hypotenuse “c” of the triangle. The instrument automatically calculates the other side “h”, the result of the calculation is displayed in the main display area and the measurement results of “a”, “b” and “c” are displayed in the auxiliary display area.
Press the “on/measurement” key to delete the result of the last measurement and perform a new one.
3. Measure the hypotenuse “a”, “b” and the cathetus “c” to calculate the value of “h” indirectly. Press the “Pythagorean indirect measurement” key three times, the display shows two adjacent triangles and the hypotenuse a flashes. After setting the measuring point, press “on/measure” to measure the hypotenuse “a” of the triangle. The hypotenuse “b” flashes. After setting the measuring point, press “on/measure” to measure the hypotenuse “b”. The leg “c” flashes. After setting the measuring point, press “on/measure” to measure the cathetus “c”. The instrument automatically calculates “h”, the calculation result is displayed in the main display area and the measurement results of “a”, “b” and “c” are displayed in the auxiliary display area. Press the “on/measurement” key to delete the result of the last measurement and perform a new one.
Note: In Pythagorean measurement mode, the length of cathet us must be less than the length of hypotenuse for the instrument to calculate; otherwise, the instrument displays error. In Pythagorean measurement mode, in order to ensure measurement accuracy, make sure that the measurements start from the same starting point and the measurement sequence is from hypotenuse to legs.
Addition and subtraction measurement function

The operations of cumulative addition / cumulative subtraction of volume are similar to those of area.
Stakeout function
Press and hold the “area / volume” key for 2 seconds and the display shows
“storage query indicator”, which indicates entering the stakeout measurement
mode. In order to set the stakeout “a” and “b” values, press the “on/ measure”
key to select the digits of “a” value or “b” value, and press the “+” and “-”
keys to adjust the value of the selected digit. After setting the “a” value,
press the “area / volume” key to change to the setting of the “b” value.
After setting the value “b”, press the “area / volume” key to finish the
stakeout setting and enter the stakeout measurement status. During the
stakeout setting process, press and hold the “power / measurement” key to
finish the stakeout setting and enter the stakeout measurement state.
After entering the stakeout measurement state, the auxiliary display area
shows the set distance value of the nearest stakeout point, and the main
display area shows the distance between the current position and the stakeout
point. A positive value indicates a distance greater than the stakeout point,
and a negative value indicates a distance less than the stakeout point. When
the distance to the nearest stakeout point is less than 0.1 metres, the buzzer
starts to buzz (If the buzzer is off, it does not buzz). When the stakeout
position is reached, the sound of the buzzer changes significantly. The
distance to the stakeout point is: “a + bxn” (n is a natural number other than
“0”). Press the “on/measure” key to exit the stakeout measurement state.
