  • Start/Add 30:

Electronic Oven Controls

BUTTONS FEATURE INSTRUCTION
Start/Add 30 Cooking start The Start button begins any oven

function. During microwave cooking, when cooking is interrupted by opening the door, pressing Start/Add 30 button after the door is closed again will resume the preset cycle.
Start/Add 30| Quick start for 30 seconds| Press the Start/Add 30 button once will start the microwave for 30 seconds, press repeatedly, will add the time amount of the button pressed. See Start/Add 30 section for details.
Cancel| Exit and go back to idle| Press the Cancel button to exit and back to idle state. End the running cycle.
Timer Set · Cancel| Set or Cancel kitchen timer| At the idle state or running state, to set the kitchen timer up to 24 hours. For example set the kitchen timer to 2 hr 30 min 0 sec:

Settings
The Settings selection button allows you access to the hidden functions within the Electronic Oven Control. These hidden functions are as below, You can use Arrow buttons to toggle to your favorite choice, use BACK button to back to previous screen, use
CONFIRM/MENU button to select, and use Cancel button to exit Settings.

Standby Mode
When no functions are being used, the microwave oven will switch to standby mode and slightly dim the display brightness after about 10 minutes. Press any button or open the door, the display will return to normal lightness.

Charcoal Filter Alert Reset

The charcoal filter is behind the grease filter. It cannot be cleaned and should be replaced every 6 months, while the display shows the filter alert “Change the Charcoal Filter and reset reminder in Settings”.
To remove the filter alert and reset filters duration:
After replacing the charcoal filter (see the instructions on the Quick Start Guide for how to replace the charcoal filter), to remove the filter alert on the display, retrieve another 6 months duration.

  1. Press Settings button, use Arrow buttons until Cleaning and Maintenance, press CONFIRM/MENU button to select.
  2. Use Arrow buttons to select Reset filter submenu, press CONFIRM/MENU button to reset.

The charcoal filter retrieves another 6 months duration now.
NOTE: For roof venting and wall venting, the charcoal filter is not necessary, but the filter alert will still appear every 6 months, you can follow above steps to remove the alert.
Sabbath Mode
The Sabbath Mode sets the oven to remain on in a Bake setting until turned off. The lights, displays and 12 hours shut off will be disabled during sabbath mode. When the oven door is opened or closed, the oven light will not turn on or off and the heating elements will not turn on or off immediately.
To Activate Sabbath Mode:

  1. Press the Settings button.
  2. Press the Right Arrow button until Preference, press CONFIRM/MENU button to select.
  3. Press the Right Arrow button until Sabbath Mode, press CONFIRM/MENU button to select.

To Activate Bake Using Sabbath Mode:

  1. Press the Settings button.
  2. Press the Right Arrow button until Preference, press CONFIRM/MENU button to select.
  3. Press the Right Arrow button until Sabbath Mode, press CONFIRM/MENU button to select.
  4. Press the Right Arrow button to select Sabbath Bake, press CONFIRM/MENU button to select.
    • Set temperature: Press Left/Right Arrow buttons to select baking temperature.
    • Set baking time: Press CONFIRM/MENU button to enter baking time setting, press number buttons to set baking time, press Start button to begin.

NOTE: In sabbath bake, you can modify the baking temperature by pressing the Left/Right Arrows, press Left Arrow button once, the baking temperature will be -25°F (-31.7°C), press Right Arrow button once, the baking temperature will be 25°F (-3.9°C), but the modified temperature will not be displayed on the screen.
For example: If the current baking temperature is set to 350°F (177°C), you want to adjust it to 250°F (121°C), you need to press the Left Arrow button 4 times, but the screen still shows 350°F (177°C).

  1. To Deactivate Sabbath Mode:
    Press and hold the Cancel button for 3 seconds to exit Sabbath mode. Or wait for 74 hours timeout.
    Language
    There are three languages supported. The language setting is in the Settings- Preferences-Language and regional submenu.

  2. Press Settings button, press Arrow buttons select Preferences, press CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.

  3. Press Arrow buttons to Language and regional submenu, press CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.

  4. Press the CONFIRM/MENU button to set the Language. English/Spanish/French for your option.

  5. Press the CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.

Temperature Unit
Fahrenheit and Celsius can be converted for this unit. The temperature unit setting is in the Settings-Preferences-Language and regional submenu.

  1. Press Settings button, press Arrow buttons to Preferences, press CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  2. Press Arrow buttons to Language and regional submenu, press CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  3. Press Arrow buttons to the temperature unit submenu, press CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  4. Press Arrow buttons to select °F or °C.
  5. Press the CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.

Weight Unit
There are two systems Imperial and Metric for your option, ounce and pound is in the Imperial submenu, gram and kilogram is in the Metric submenu. The weight unit setting is in the Settings-Preferences-Language and regional submenu.

  1. Press Settings button, press Arrow buttons to Preferences, press CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  2. Press Arrow buttons to Language and regional submenu, press CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  3. Press Arrow buttons to Weight unit submenu, press CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  4. Press Arrow buttons to select Oz, Lbs (Imperial) or Grams, Kgs (Metric).
  5. Press Arrow buttons to select your favorite weight unit.
  6. Press the CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.

Time Format
There are 12 hours or 24 hours format for your option. The time format setting is in the Settings-Preferences-Language and regional submenu.

  1. Press Settings button, press Arrow buttons to Preferences, press CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  2. Press Arrow buttons to Language and regional submenu, press CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  3. Press Arrow buttons to Time Format submenu, press CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  4. Press Arrow buttons to select 12 hours or 24 hours.
  5. Press the CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.

Restore Factory Defaults
Users may set the microwave oven back to default state.

  1. Press Settings button, press Arrow buttons to Preferences, press CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  2. Press Arrow buttons to Restore factory defaults submenu, press CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  3. Press the CONFIRM/MENU button to restore settings.
    NOTE : System restarts and returns to idle. All features including all Settings and any stored value in memory will be reset.

Sounds Volume
Programming all sounds on/off and changing timers and alerts, buttons and effects volume. All sounds: On or Off
Timers and alerts: Maximum, High, Medium, Low Off
Buttons and effects: Maximum, High, Medium, Low Off

Instruction :

  1. Press Settings button, press Arrow buttons to Preferences, press CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  2. Press Arrow buttons to Sounds volume submenu, press CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  3. Press Arrow buttons to toggle to the item you want to set.
  4. Press the CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.

Time and Date
Microwave oven will set the time and date automatically using Wi-Fi, or you can set time and date manually by the following instruction. Set Time (12 hours format is default setting):
Set the time with the below instructions, for example, setting the time to 3:30 AM:

  1. Press Settings button, press Arrow buttons to Preferences, press the CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  2. Press the Arrow buttons to Time and Date submenu, press the CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  3. Press the CONFIRM/MENU button when you see the Set time setting.
  4. Press number 330, to set the time to 3:30.
  5. Press the Arrow buttons toggle to AM. The display showed 3:30 AM.
  6. Press the CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  7. Press the BACK button back to the home page.

NOTE: If you like the 24 hours format, change the time format in the Time Format submenu.
For a 24 hours format, if the clock is blanking on the screen, set the date with the following instructions, the problem will be solved.
Set Date: MM/DD/YY format, for example, setting the date to 01/01/24.

  1. Press the Settings button, press Arrow buttons to Preferences, press the CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  2. Press the Arrow buttons to Time and date submenu, press the CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  3. Press the Arrow buttons until Set date, press the CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  4. Press number 01 to set the month.
  5. Press number 01 to set the date.
  6. Press number 24 to set the year.
  7. Press the CONFIRM/MENU button to confirm your setting.
  8.  Press the BACK button back to the home page.
    Time Format: 12 hours with AM/PM, or 24 hours format.

You Will Need:

  • A home wireless router supporting Wi-Fi, preferably 2.4 Ghz with WPA2 security. If you are unsure of your router’s capabilities, refer to the router manufacturer’s instructions.? The router to be on and have a live internet connection.
  • The SAID code and MAC address for your appliance may be needed. The SAID code and MAC address can be found in the Settings button with below instructions, or you can find it on your appliance in the upper left corner of the door, see below illustration 1.
  • Mobile device with bluetooth connection capability with bluetooth turn on.
  • Latest version (recommended) of the app.

How to find the SAID code and MAC address in Setting:
Finding the SAID code and MAC address through Settings–>Connectivity–>SAID code and MAC address
Once installed, launch the app. You will be guided through the steps to set up a user account and to connect your appliance. If you have any problems or questions, contact customer support at 1-866-333-4591.

Steam Clean
This automatic cleaning cycle will help you to clean the microwave oven cavity and to remove unpleasant odors.
Before starting the cycle:

  1. Remove all accessories from the cavity.
  2. Put 250 mL water into a container (see our recommendations in the below section “Tips and suggestions”).
  3. Place the container directly on the middle of the oven bottom.
  4. Close the door.

To Start the Cycle:

  1. Press Steam Clean button or Press Settings button->Arrow buttons->Cleaning and Maintenance->CONFIRM/MENU button to select.
  2. Press the Start button to start the function.

When the Cycle is Finished:

  1. Press the Cancel button.
  2. Remove the container.
  3. Use a soft cloth or a paper towel with mild detergent to clean the interior surfaces.

Tips and suggestions :

  • For a better cleaning result, it is recommended to use a container with a diameter of 17-20 cm, and a height that is lower than 6.5 cm. It is recommended to use a container of light plastic material that is suitable for the microwave.
  • As the container will be hot after the cleaning cycle is completed, it is recommended to use a heat resistant glove when removing the container from the microwave.
  • For a better cleaning effect and removal of unpleasant odors, add some lemon juice or vinegar to the water.

  • If the unit is currently sensing when the door was opened, the cycle will be canceled and return to idle.
  • If the unit is not in a sensing state, you can start and proceed with remaining time after the door is shut and you press start.

Tips and suggestions:
For better cooking performance, it is recommended to stir/turn and let the food stand 1 minute after cooking and reheat.
Follow the steps to cook with microwave manual mode, below example is 4 minutes 30 seconds cook time and 80% power level.

  1. In idle state.
  2. Press number buttons to enter cook time, such as set 4 minutes 30 seconds: press “4” “3” “0”. The default power level is 100%.
  3. Press the CONFIRM/MENU button to change power level to 80%.
  4.  Press the left Arrow buttons twice to switch the power level 80.
  5. Press the START button to begin cooking.
  6. Cooking completed.
  7. Press the CONFIRM/MENU button to add time if you like and repeat the steps from step 2, or press the CANCEL button back to the idle state.

Assisted Microwave Cooking
Follow the steps to cook with assisted microwave mode, below is an example to cook 2 slices bacon.

  1. In idle state.
  2. Press the Cook button and press the right arrow button repeatedly until Bacon.
  3. Press the MENU/CONFIRM button to set slices. There are some cooking tips shown on the display, check and follow the tips.
  4. Press the MENU/CONFIRM and right arrow button to choose 2 slices of bacon.
  5. Press the START button to begin cooking. The cooking time will be counted down.
  6. Cooking completed.
  7. Press the MENU/CONFIRM button to add time if you like, this step can be skipped, if you are satisfy with the doneness.
  8. Press the CANCEL button back to the idle state.

IR Cooking (For (Y)KMMF730 Only)
Some functions using IR cooking, such as Defrost, Reheat (some recipes), Soften/Melt, see below instructions to achieve the best cooking result.
Instruction:

  • Do not cover the food with any cover or plastic wrap. Because the detector will sense the temperature of the cover or plastic wrap first instead of the temperature of the food, resulting in poor cooking results.
  • We recommend using dishes, bowls, cup containers. Do not use a net high bottle.
  • Putting the food in the center, moving the right side around 5 cm is recommended, otherwise the IR sensor can not “see” the food well, see the right illustration for details.
  • Clean the IR sensor lens when the cooking performance is not good. See the “Clean The IR Sensor Lens” section on the “Owner’s Manual”.

Defrost
This function allows you to quickly defrost food manually or automatically. Use this function to manually defrost, automatically defrost chicken breast, fish fillets, ground meat.

Tips:

  • For better cooking performance, try to use the preset button firstly.
  • For optimal results, food should be 0°F (-18°C) or colder when defrosting.
  • Unwrap foods and remove lids (from fruit juice) before defrosting.
  • Shallow packages will defrost more quickly than deep blocks.
  • Separate food pieces as soon as possible during or at the end of the cycle for more even defrosting.
  • Foods left outside the freezer for more than 20 minutes or frozen ready-made food should not be defrosted using the Defrost feature but should be defrosted manually.
  • Use small pieces of aluminium foil to shield parts of food such as chicken wings, leg tips, and fish tails. See the “Aluminium Foil and Metal” section first.
  • Times and cooking powers have been preset for defrosting a number of food types.
  • Let stand 5-20 minutes after defrosting.

Place on a paper towel, around ceramic plate edges, at least 1″ (2.5 cm) apart. Place a single potato to the center of the ceramic plate. Turn the potato when the system prompts to turn food during the cooking process. Let stand for 5 minutes after cooking.

Oven Cooking Functions

  • Odors and smoke are normal when the microwave oven is used the first few times or when it is heavily soiled.
    During oven use, the heating elements will not remain on, but will cycle on and off throughout oven operation.
    IMPORTANT: The health of some birds is extremely sensitive to the fumes given off. Exposure to the fumes may result in death to certain birds. Always move birds to another closed and well ventilated room.

Accessories

  • The provided accessories can help you to achieve the best results, use different accessories depending on the recipe, see cooking tips on the display.

  • Metal oven proof bakeware can be used during air fry, toast, bake, convect bake, roast, broil and dehydrate cycles.

  • When cooking oily or juicy foods, placing an oven proof baking plate on the oven bottom to catch dripping oil or juice.

  • There are 3 levels to place the accessories, placing the appropriate accessories onto the right level will help you to achieve best results.

  • Rack Stopper of Wire Rack or Air Fry Basket (on some models) Use
    When the food needs to be turned over, pull out the wire rack or air fry basket slightly, and the wire rack or air fry basket will stop at the rack stopper, allowing you to easily turn the food, no need to take the wire rack or air fry basket out.

Manual Oven Cooking
Follow the steps to cook by temperature, below is an example to bake a pizza in 425°F (218°C) temperature.

  1. In idle state.
  2. Press the Bake button and enter Manual Bake function, some cooking tips are on the screen.
  3. Press the MENU/CONFIRM and right arrow button to choose 425°F (218°C).
  4. Press the MENU/CONFIRM to set cook time, such as 20 minutes cooking length.
  5. Press the MENU/CONFIRM to 00:00 on the screen.
  6. Use number buttons “2” “0” to set the baking time to set the baking time to 20 minutes.
  7. Press the START button to begin preheating. When the oven meets the preheat temperature, complete sounds will be heard.
  8. Press the Door Open button to put food in the cavity to the level 1 position.
  9. Close the door, press the START Button to start baking.
  10. When baking is complete, press the MENU/CONFIRM button to add more time, this step can be skipped, if you are satisfied with the doneness.
  11. Press the Door Open button, wear gloves to take out the pizza, close the door, and press the CANCEL button back to the idle state.

Air Fry
This Function is to use force Air combined with Toast function to obtain deep fried effect in a microwave oven environment instead of submerging the food in oil. Use with an air-fry basket.
Accessories:

Procedure:

  1. Put the food in the air fry basket without overlap and insert the air fry basket on the rack position 1.
  2. Air fry default temperature is 450°F (232°C). Use the left arrow or right arrow button to select a different temperature, 350°F (177°C) to 450°F (232°C).
  3. Press the CONFIRM/MENU button to set cooking length.
  4. Use numbers buttons to set time in HH/MM, up to 2 hours.
  5.  Press Start/Add 30 to cook.

NOTE:

  1. During or after cooking, the air fry basket will be hot, always wear gloves to remove and handle the hot air fry basket.
  2. Allow to turn food at the 3/4 of cooking time to get a better performance.
  3.  In the air fry cooking function, the embraced heating plate will be worked, please do not cover it when cooking, otherwise the cooking performance will have some downgrade.
  4. If the Toast pan or other baking pan is placed at the bottom of the cavity to catch oil and juicy, the cooking time will need to be extended.
  5.  When cooking fresh meat or juicy food, there may be a certain amount of food residue in the oven bottom. Do not clean it immediately after cooking. It is recommended to apply a layer of Soft Scrub Multi-Purpose while the oven bottom is cooling Cleanser, soften the stains for about 20-30 minutes, the softened stains are very easy to remove.

  1. Press the Toast button.

  4. Some tips prompt on the display, press the CONFIRM/MENU button to the next step.
  5. Select the desired temperature(manual) or weight/slices for pre-set food.
  6. Press the CONFIRM/MENU button to set cooking time (skip this step for pre-set food).
  7. Press the Start/Add 30 to cook.

  2. Allow to turn food if needed.

Other Modes

Keep Warm

WARNING

  • Food Poisoning Hazard
  • Do not let food sit for more than one hour before or after cooking.
  • Doing so can result in food poisoning or sickness.

This function allows you to keep your dishes warm automatically.

  1. Use microwave safe container.
  2. Press the Other Modes button, reach Keep Warm submenu.
  3. Press number button to set time. Default time is 30 minutes.
  4. Press Start/Add 30 button to start.

Proof
This function is used to do dough rising.
Procedure:

  1. Open the door and insert the food to the bottom.
  2. Select the desired cooking time.
  3. Press the Start/Add 30 button.

Tips:

  • For example pizza dough, measure 98.6°F (37°C) water directly into the container and dissolve the yeast into the water, add 250 g flour, 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, 2 g of salt. Knead well until a dough is formed. This function can be used with any other dough recipe.
  • For better results we recommend using plastic wrap to cover the bowl.

Air Baking
This function allows cooking food as in traditional ovens. Therefore it is useful to cook pastries, bakeries, meat, poultry, and fishes.
Accessories

Procedure:

  1. Press Other Modes button, use the right arrow repeatedly until Air Baking.
  2. Press the CONFIRM/MENU button to select.
  3. Some tips prompt on the display, Press the CONFIRM/MENU button to next step.
  4. Select the desired temperature.
  5. Press the Start/Add 30 button. The oven starts to preheat.
  6. After preheating, “Oven ready” is shown on the display.
  7. Open the door, place food inside the cavity on the recommended level.
  8. Close the door.
  9. Press the CONFIRM/MENU button to set cooking time or set delay time.
  10. Press the Start/Add 30 to cook.

Probe Mode
Below cooking modes cannot cook without the probe. Follow the prompts on the screen to customize the probe target temperature and the cavity target temperature.

Positioning probe before cooking
Taking out the probe from the probe case (it is located below illustration B). Clean and dry it before cooking.
Insert the short terminal plug into the cavity probe connector.

Procedure:

  1. Put the food in the accessory and insert the temperature sensor (H) of the probe into the thickest portion of the food. (Temperature sensor is far from the tip (D) of the probe, around 10 mm, and located in the center of the thickest section of the food.)
  2. Follow the prompts on the display to insert the plug (H) into the probe connector position (A), which is located inside the cavity upper right side, see above illustration.
  3. Insert the accessory in the rack position 1.
  4. Press Other Modes button, and press the right arrow button repeatedly until Probe mode. Select the favorite mode.
  5. Enter the probe target temperature and cavity target temperature.
  6. Press Start/Add 30 to cook.

Clean the probe and dry it (see Owner’s manual on “Microwave Oven Maintenance and Care” section for more details). Store the probe in the probe case and attach it back to the microwave oven.
