TOOLS REQUIRED
For an easy installation there are some tools required.
– Adjustable spanner for the mounting screws
– Waterproof cable connector for 3 wires
INSTALLATION DETAILS
-
Face the mounting bracket with mounting holes to position where the lamp should be fixed on a surface like a wall, ceiling, roof, etc.
-
Make sure the power cable is installed properly before installation and that the power is off.
-
When the mounting holes are on the right position you can draw markings on the surface with a pencil or another tool. Now store the floodlight away so you can start drilling holes on the markings.
-
Place the mounting base and start to affix the floodlight.
-
Adjust the screws on the sides of the floodlight to put the floodlight in the desired angle.
-
Connect the power cable to the mains power. The three-core cable of the floodlight has 3 wires, the blue wire needs to be connected to the N-line (blue on blue), the brown wire needs to be connected to the L line (brown on brown), the final yellow/green wire is the earth wire PE.
Note: always use a waterproof cable connector -
Now you can turn on the mains power and the light will turn on.
SENSOR FUNCTIONS
- The floodlight sensor can operate during daytime and night, when the setting is adjusted to the “sun” position (MAX). The floodlight sensor can also operate in ambient light with less than 3LUX, when the setting is adjusted to the “moon” position (MIN). The ambient setting can also be adjusted according to the users preferences.
- The movement detection can be used according to using the location distance from the sensor. When the detection distance should work within 3 meters. the setting should be on low sensitivity. It means the sensor will only detect movement up to 3 meters distance. When the detection distance should work up to a bigger distance, up to 10 meters, the setting should be on high sensitivity. This setting is mostly used for outside usage and in big areas with a lot of space.
- The time-delay setting is added continuously when the sensor is triggered. When the sensor triggered, it will be activating the floodlight for a set time. As there is a second trigger within the first induction, the sensor will restart to time from the new moment.
INSTALLATION ADVICE
For optimal sensor operation, be aware that the sensor responds to changes
in temperature, avoid the following situations:
– Avoid facing the sensor to a highly reflective surface. such as mirrors,
glass etc.
– Do not place the sensor closeby heat sources. cooling systems or inside high
temperature rooms/areas.
– Also avoid the sensor facing to easily moving objects by the wind such as
plants, curtains etc.
TESTING THE SENSOR
- Adjust the SENS knob to the max position (+), turn the LUX knob on the max position as well (sun) and adjust the TIME knob to the minimum setting (-).
- Turn on the mains power, the sensor and floodlight will have no signal when starting up. After the sensor is warmed up for about 30seconds, the sensor is active. When the sensor receives a signal by detection, the lamp will turn on. If there is no other induction signal, the load from the sensor will stop working and the lamp will shut off within 10-15 seconds.
- Adjust the LUX knob to the minimum setting (moon). If ambient light is more than 3 LUX. the sensor will not be able to activate and the lamp will turn off too (or stays off). When the ambient light is less than 3 LUX, the sensor will not work. While there will be no induction signal, the sensor will be inactive within 10-15 seconds.
Note: When testing in daylight. turn LUX knob to the “sun” setting, otherwise the sensor cannot work and the lamp will also not work.
