- The product is not a toy Check the product for damage or wear before each use Only use the product if it is in perfect condition!

Battery warning notices!
- Remove the batteries when they are flat, or if the product is not in use for an extended period
- Do not use different types or brands of battery, or new and used batteries together, or batteries with different capacities, as these can leak and cause damage
- Ensure the polarity (+/-) is correct when inserting the batteries
- Replace all batteries at the same time and dispose of the old batteries as prescribed
- Warning! Batteries must not be charged or reactivated by other means, taken apart, thrown into fire or short-circuited
- Always keep batteries out of reach of children
- Do not use rechargeable batteries!
- Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision
- Clean the battery and device contacts as needed and before inserting
- Do not expose the batteries to extreme conditions (e g radiators or direct sunlight) Otherwise there is an increased risk of leakage
- Batteries can be life-threatening if swallowed Therefore, store batteries in a place inaccessible to small children Medical attention must be sought immediately if a battery is swallowed
- Flat batteries must be removed from the device and disposed of safely

- Handle damaged or leaking batteries with extreme caution and dispose of them properly as soon as possible Wear gloves when doing so
- If you come into contact with battery acid, wash the affected area with soap and water If battery acid gets in your eye, rinse it with water and seek medical attention immediately!
- The connection terminals must not be short-circuited
Replacing the battery
(Fig. C)
WARNING! Observe the following instructions to avoid mechanical and electrical damage.
Danger!
Remove the battery protector (12) from the battery compartment before first
use
You can replace the battery if it stops working

Open the battery compartment cover (11) with a suitable screwdriver

Remove the flat battery from the battery compartment (13) and replace it with a new battery
Note: pay attention to the plus/minus poles of the battery and to its correct insertion The battery must be completely inside the battery compartment -
Close the battery compartment cover (11) again
Operation
Weighing
-
Open the buckle (2) and pass the strap (3) through the handle of the piece of luggage Close the buckle (2) again

Press the T/ON button (6) before lifting the piece of luggage to switch on the product The strap (3) must not be taut during this process
Note: the LC display (1) should show the weight “0 00kg” Note: press the U/Set button (6) to switch between the weight units kg, lb, oz and g -
Slightly lift the product with the piece of luggage Ensure the product is level and well balanced The LC display (1) shows the weight of the luggage After approx 2 seconds, the LC display (1) will freeze for approx 1 minute, displaying the weight During this time, the hold display (10) appears in the LC display (1) After approx 2 minutes, the product switches itself off
Note: the heavier the piece of luggage, the longer the weighing process takes The display turns red when the overload range is approached The overload limit is set to 20 kg at the factory -
If necessary, set the overload function by pressing and holding the U/Set button (6) until the display shows “5/S” Then set the desired weight with the arrow buttons and confirm it with the U/Set button (6)

Note: the tare function can be used to reset the scale to 0 00kg even if a suitcase or a suitcase with contents is already hanging on the scale First, the scale displays the weight of the suitcase If you press the T/ON button (7), the scale displays 0 00kg If you then place pieces of luggage in the suitcase or take them out, the scale displays the weight of the current contents of the suitcase
To weigh again, press the T/ON button (7) to reset the display to “0 00kg” Weigh a new piece of luggage as described in the paragraph “Weighing”
Turning off the product
Press and hold the T/ON button (7) for approx 3 seconds to switch off the product
Troubleshooting
Note: the product contains electronic components This means that malfunctions can occur when it is near objects that emit radio signals
- If there are errors in the display, remove such objects from the product’s vicinity
- In case of such malfunctions, briefly remove the battery and insert it again

Storage, cleaning
When not in use, always store the product dry, clean, without batteries and at
room temperature
Wipe clean with a dry cloth only
IMPORTANT! Never clean the product with harsh cleaning agents
Disposal
- The accompanying symbol indicates that this device complies with Directive 2012/19/EU This directive indicates that you may not dispose of this device along with basic household waste at the end of its useful life and instead must hand it in to specifically designated collection sites, valuable substance collection stations, or waste disposal facilities
- Look after the environment and dispose of waste properly Batteries may not be disposed of with household waste They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment The chemical symbols of the heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead Dispose of used batteries at a municipal collection site
- For further information about disposal of the product no longer needed, contact your local council Dispose of the product and the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner Store the packaging materials (foil bags, for example) out of the reach of children
- Note the label on the packaging materials when separating waste, as these are labelled with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with the following meaning:
- 1–7: plastics / 20–22: paper and cardboard / 80–98: composite materials
- The product and the packaging materials can be recycled, dispose of them separately for better treatment of waste.

fragile parts such as switches, rechargeable batteries, or parts made of glass
Claims under this guarantee are excluded if the product has been used
incorrectly, improperly, or contrary to the intended purpose, or if the
provisions in the instructions for use were not observed, unless the end
customer proves that a material or manufacturing defect exists that was not
caused by one of the aforementioned circumstances Claims under the guarantee
