Introduction
CableScout 220E is a highly advanced time domain reflectometer for telecommunication technicians to diagnose trouble on modern hybrid cable tv networks or similar 75-ohm coaxial cable systems. It can additionally be used on other types of cable, either directly or via a matching transformer.
Getting Started
Charge the Battery
Before first use charge the battery for at least one hour. Connecting the included AC adaptor or DC vehicle power lead to the 12V input socket at the back of the unit. The LED alongside will indicate that the unit is charging.
Power On
Press and release the button . The display should light up and display the
product logo.
Settings
Upon first power up the settings screen should be shown. If not, select the
settings menu and set the unit to your local time, preferred language,
distance units etc.
Full Instructions
The full operating instruction for the CableScout can be accessed in your
language by pressing the help button (?) at any time.
