PRODUCT

POWER UP

  1. Insert 2-AA batteries into your Outdoor Sensor.
  2. Insert the 5-volt power cord into an outlet, then into your station. Optional: Insert 3-AA batteries for backup.
  3. Adjust time and date settings on the station.
  4. Once the Outdoor Sensor is reading to your station, place it outside in a shaded location.

WWVB ATOMIC TIME SIGNAL

  • The station will automatically search for the atomic time signal at UTC 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, and 11:00.
  • The Atomic Time Signal Icon will flash while searching, and be solid when connected.
  • Press the SEARCH button anytime, to manually search for the atomic time signal.

SETTINGS

  1. Hold the SET button to enter the Settings Menu.
  2. Use the + or – button to adjust, and SET to confirm.
  3. Press the LIGHT button anytime to exit the Settings Menu

Settings Menu order:

  • Beep ON | OFF
  • Atomic ON | OFF
  • Time Zone
  • DST ON | OFF (Daylight Saving Time): TIME ZONE
  • Time Zone: AST
  • 12Hr | 24Hr Format: EST
  • Hour: CST
  • Minutes: MST
  • Year: PST
  • Month: АКТ
  • Date: HAT
  • Temperature Fahrenheit | Celsius

Atomic OFF: When Atomic OFF is selected, you will skip items V“Time Zone” and “DST” and go straight to 12/24 hour time format.
Weekday: Weekday sets automatically when Year, Month, and Date are set.

ALERTS

To set alerts:

  1. Hold the ALERTS button to enter the Alert Set Mode.
  2. The Outdoor LO temp alert will begin flashing. Use the + or – button to arm (ON) or disarm (OFF) the alert. Press the ALERT button to confirm.
  3. If an alert is armed (ON), its alert value will begin flashing. Use the + or – button to adjust the alert value, and the ALERTS button to confirm.

When Alert Sounds:

  • When armed alert value is reached, the station will beep 5 times each minute, until out of alert range.
  • The flashing Alert Icon will indicate if it is a LO or HI alert.
  • Press any button to stop the alert sound. The Alert Icon will continue to flash while the value is in the alert range.

ADJUSTABLE BACKLIGHT

  • Press and release the LIGHT button to adjust the Backlight: HI-LOW-OFF.
  • When operating on batteries only, press the LIGHT button for a 10-second backlight.

BUTTON FUNCTIONS

ALERTS Hold to set Alerts. Press to toggle between Alerts.
TEMP Press to view daily HI and LO Temperature, Humidity, Heat Index

and Dew Point. Note: Records reset at midnight each day.
SEARCH| Press to search for Atomic Time Signal. Hold to search for Outdoor Sensor.
+ (PLUS)| Press to increase setting values. Alerts: Press to arm/disarm alerts.
-(MINUS)| Press to decrease setting values. Alerts: Press to arm/disarm alerts.
SET| Hold to enter Settings Menu. Press to confirm settings.
LIGHT| Press to adjust Backlight brightness (power adapter required). Batteries Only: Press to activate backlight for 10 seconds.

WEATHER FORECAST ICONS

The station will use changes in atmospheric pressure to predict your weather conditions in the next 12 hours. Please allow up to 10 days for correct calibration and accurate forecast icons.

Note: The snowy icon shows when the outdoor temperature is below 32°F and the forecast calls for rain or thunderstorms.

LOW BATTERY INDICATOR

  • When the Battery Indicator shows next to the outdoor temperature, replace the batteries in the Outdoor Sensor.
  • When the Battery Indicator shows next to the indoor temperature, replace the batteries in the Station.

SEARCH FOR OUTDOOR SENSOR

  • If the sensor loses connection to the station for any reason, the station will show dashes after 30 minutes.
  • The station will automatically search for 3 minutes every hour to try and reestablish the sensor connection.
  • To manually search for your Outdoor Sensor, hold the SEARCH button until the Reception Icon will animate.
  • When the sensor is connected, the Reception Icon will be solid.
  • If your thermometer is unable to reconnect on its own, a Restart may be necessary.

CARE + MAINTENANCE

  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix Alkaline, Lithium, standard, or rechargeable batteries.
  • Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for intended use.
  • Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.
  • Ensure the batteries have with correct polarity (+ / -).
  • Remove batteries from equipment that will not to be used for an extended period.
  • Promptly remove expired batteries.
