Recycling and Environmental Protection
We try to avoid using plastic packaging and film and only use them when they are absolutely necessary to protect the product. So how are we different? Packaging you can eat… Well, almost. 🙂

• We use ink made from soybeans as opposed to classic petroleum-based ink.
• The majority of our packaging is made from 100% recyclable paper.
• We limit the use of adhesives. If absolutely necessary, we make sure to choose only water-soluble ones.

We think globally, which means that we actively search for eco-friendly solutions. We keep an eye on trending technology and place findings of the scientific community into practice. We don‘t just try to meet quotas and mandates, we aim to exceed them.

USE

Modulator connection / disconnection
Plug the modulator into the vehicle’s auxiliary power (cigarette lighter) outlet. The display will first briefly show the car battery voltage, then show “bt” to indicate that the modulator is pairing with the connected device. When not using the modulator, remove it from the power outlet.

Manual power off / on
To manually turn the modulator on or off, press and hold CH for 2 seconds. After switching off, only the charging function will remain active.

Turn off backlight
Press and hold Bass Booster for 3 seconds to turn off the blue backlight. To turn it back on, press and hold Bass Booster for 3 seconds again.

Pairing using Bluetooth

1. Connect the modulator to the power connector (12 V – 24 V) in your car.
2. While “bt” is flashing on the display, turn on your phone’s Bluetooth and start searching for available devices.
3. Select “APW-FMTV5” from the list and the pairing process starts. If you are prompted for a password, enter the default password “0000” or “1234”.
4. Once the display stops flashing “bt” and shows the FM frequency, the pairing process has completed successfully.
   Note : To ensure a stable connection, keep a maximum distance of 5 m between the telephone and the modulator.

Automatic pairing
The next time you turn on the modulator, it automatically pairs with the last paired phone. We therefore recommend that you switch on the Bluetooth function before switching on the modulator.

Setting up your own FM station

1. Tune to any unoccupied frequency from 87.6 MHz to 107.9 MHz on the car radio.
2. Press CH to enter frequency selection menu.
3. Use the knob selector to set the same frequency you have set on your car’s stereo.

Playing audio files
You can play audio files from your phone (via Bluetooth). Pair your phone with the modulator and press the multi-function button to start playing audio files. Press the multi-function button briefly during playback to pause. Press again to resume playback. During playback, press the multi-function button twice, then turn the knob selector left or right to skip to the next or previous track. During playback, turn the knob selector left or right to adjust the volume. During playback, press Bass Booster to boost the bass.

Note : If your phone receives a call during playback, playback will automatically pause so you can answer.

Calls
If you have your smartphone connected to the modulator via Bluetooth, you will also be able to control calls via the modulator.

1. Answer/End call – press briefly the multifunction button.
2. Rejecting call – press and hold the multifunction button.
3. To transfer a call to your phone – long-press the multi-function button during a call.
   Note : When making a call, you must use your phone to dial out. Once the call connects, the modulator’s hands-free features can be used instead of your phone.

Voice assistant
After pairing your phone with the modulator, press and hold the multi-function button to activate your phone’s voice assistant (if it has one). The modulator supports Siri, Bixby and Google Assistant voice assistants.

Charging
Use a suitable power cord (not included) to connect the device you want to charge to the modulator. The charging process starts automatically. When using both charging ports together, the maximum combined charging power is 42 W.

SAFETY INFORMATION

• Please check compatibility with the information specified on the product before use.
• This product is not a toy. It may contain small components. Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use the product to charge devices that require a charging current greater than that specified in the technical specification. Once your device is fully charged, disconnect it from the product.
• Always connect and disconnect a USB Flash drive or memory card before connecting the product to the cigarette lighter socket.
• Due to the wide range of devices (SD cards and USB Flash drives) on the market, it is not possible to guarantee full compatibility with all available devices. If the product does not read data from USB flash drives or memory cards, try inserting the connected storage device again.
• Unplug the product from the cigarette lighter socket when not in use.
• Only use the product for its intended purpose.
• Incorrect use of the product can lead to a risk of fire, explosion or other hazard and can result in a voided warranty.
• Do not use or leave the product in dusty or otherwise contaminated environments.
• Do not expose the product to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, heat sources, etc.
• Avoid contact with open flame. Do not place open flame sources, such as lit candles, on the product. Keep the product in a dry environment.
• Do not expose the product to dripping or splashing water. Do not place water containers, such as vases, on the product.
• Do not place heavy objects on the product. Do not subject it to shocks, falls or other mechanical damage.
• Do not disassemble the product. Attempting to modify the product may damage it and result in serious injury.
• Do not use the product if it appears damaged or emits an unusual odour.
• Use only a soft, clean, dry cloth to clean the surface. Do not use harsh or chemical cleaners, petrol, thinners, etc.
