Operating Instructions
Battery
A CR2032 battery is included. The battery compartment is on the base of the scales. Please note polarity marking. Before using the scales remove the plastic protection.
Positioning the scales
Please ensure that the scales is in a horizontal position.
Weighing (ON)
After switching on the scales with the „ON/OFF/TARE“ key, „88888“ appears in the display. Please wait until zero appears. Then place the weight on to the scales and read off the weight.
Net weighing (TARE)
Place an empty container (i.e. fi rst weight) on to the scales and then subtract this weight by pressing the key until zero appears. Fill the container (i.e. add second weight to the scales). Only the additional weight is indicated in the display.
Switch off (OFF)
Press the key „ON/OFF/TARE“ until the display disappears. Automatic switch-off
will occur after approx. 2 minutes, if no change of weight occurs in this
time. Switching the weight units g or oz
The scales can show the weight value in g or oz. Press the „UNIT” key when the
scales is turned on. Press the key again to change the weighing unit.
User calibration
If needed, the scales can be recalibrated by the user. Switch the scales on and set the measurement to “g”. Press the key “ON/OFF/TARE” rapidly four times in a row and hold. A number appears with or without a sign. Press the “ON/OFF/TARE” key again. “ZERO” appears, followed by “2000”. Now place a 2kg calibrated weight on the scales and press the “ON/OFF/TARE” key. “CAL” fi rst appears on the display, then “PASS” and fi nally “2000g”. The scales has been recalibrated. Important: the scales must not be exposed to any vibration or draft during the calibration.
Explanation of the special symbols

Switching on
After pressing the „ON/OFF/TARE“- key all symbols appear. You can check whether all segments are clearly shown on the display. Zero indicates that thescales is ready for operation. -
Negative valuePress the „ON/OFF/TARE“- key once again.

OverloadIf the weight exceeds the total weighing capacity of the scales, „O-Ld“ appears in the display.

Energy SupplyIf appears on the display, the battery need to be changed.
This device complies with the requirements of EC Directive 2014/31/EU. Note:
Unusual electro-magnetic infl uences (jammers in the immediate vicinity)
mayaffect the display value. After the end of the interference period, the
product can be used again as intended. These scales cannot be used for offi
cialmetrology.Precision
This device corresponds to requirements stipulated in 2014/31/EU. Every scale
has been carefully calibrated and controlled during the production process.
The tolerance is ± 0,5% ± 1 digit (at Temperatures between +5° and +35° C).
Incorrect display values due to damage attributable to impropera
handling,mechanical damage or malfunction is exempt from liability. Damages
due to faults are also exempt from the guarantee. No liability is accepted for
consequential damages or losses by the buyer or the user.
