Operating Instructions

Battery

  • Two AAA batteries are included. Insert batteries into the battery compartment in the manner indicated on the base plate. Please note the polarity marking.

Positioning the scales

  • Please ensure that the scales are in a horizontal position.

Weighing (ON)

  • After switching on the scales with the „ON/OFF/TARE“ key, „8888“ appears on the display. Please wait until zero appears. Then place the weight onto the scales and read off the weight.

Net weighing (TARE)

Switch off (OFF)

  • Press the „ON/OFF/TARE“ key until the display disappears. Automatic switch-off will occur after approx. 2 minutes if no change of weight occurs at this time.

Switching the weight units g or oz

  • The scales can show the weight value in g or oz. Press the „g/oz” key when the scales are turned on. Press the key again to change the weighing unit.

User Calibration

  • If needed, the scale can be recalibrated by the user. The scale has to be switched off and no weight should be on the scale. Press the „ON/OFF/TARE“ key 5 times consecutively and hold it pressed at the last time.
  • A number with or without a prefix appears on the display. Then press the „ON/OFF/TARE“ key again. The display shows „CAL”, then the size of the calibration weight.
  • Place the calibration weight (200g for the 500g scale, 2000g for the 2000g scale, or 4000g for the 5000g scale). „PASS“ appears on the display, followed by the normal weight indication. The scale is now recalibrated.
