SPOT LIGHT KAGO Pendant Oak Wood Table Lamp

Installation

Instructions for installing of the light fitting.

  1. Safety during installation and use / Please read the following information before installing or using the product. Retain the manual for future reference.
  2. The rating plate placed on the light fitting specifies the technical specifications.
  3. Fittings may be installed only by a licensed electrician in compliance with valid regulations for the electrical installation.
  4. The manufacturer shall not be liable for injuries or damages resulting from improper use the light fitting.
  5. Warning! Power supply cable to be connected during the installation must not be energized. / Before starting the installation work switch off the mains cable, fuse-box or remove the fuses. The ON/OFF switch should be set to “OFF” or “0”. Check the absence of voltage with a voltage tester.
  6. The light is suitable for mounting on normally flammable surfaces.
  7. Ensure that the casings have been correctly installed.
  8. Do not mount the light on damp or electrically conductive ground.
  9. Warning! Temperature of the elements of the light fitting and light-emitting elements may exceed 180°C during operation.
  10. Do not touch light fittings and light sources during and after operation and allow to cool.
  11. Before replacing light sources, i.e. bulbs, ensure that they are first cooled down. Warning! Before connecting the light turn off the power supply. Turn off the fuses or remove them if necessary.
  12. Defective light sources may be replaced only in accordance with the marking on the light fitting (see labels).
  13. The power of light bulbs used should not be greater than specified on the rating label.
  14. Adjust and change settings of the light fitting only after it has cooled down.
  15. Clean only the fitting housing. Do not allow water or moisture to enter contacts or parts that supply current.
  16. “Y” type connection: in order to avoid hazard, any defective external moving cable of the light can be replaced only by the manufacturer, its service technician or a qualified person.

Warning! Only symbols visible on the rating label apply to the given light fitting.

The fitting is not suitable to be covered with a heat-insulating material.
Protection class I – protection against electric shock – use of primary insulation and connecting the light fitting with a protective conductor (green and yellow wire) to its terminal
Protection class II – protection against electric shock – use of primary and secondary or double insulation of electrically conductive parts,
Protection class III – protection against electric shock – supplying very low safe voltage.

Designation of terminals: L = phase, N = neutral, = protective
Designation of terminals for very low safe voltage: + positive, – negative,

Warning! This symbol on the product or its packaging means that the product must not be disposed of with ordinary household waste. It is the user’s responsibility to deliver the waste equipment to a designated waste collection point for proper recycling. The separate collection and recycling of waste equipment will help to conserve natural resources and ensure that it is recycled in a manner that is not harmful to human health and environment. For more information on sites where you can deliver your waste equipment for recycling, please contact your local municipal office, municipal waste management authority or outlet where you purchased the product. Products labelled with the WEEE symbol must not be disposed of with other household waste by the end user, but must be delivered to an electrical and electronic equipment recycling point.

The minimum distance from light source to the illuminated surface.

  • IP20 (or no IP designation) – fitting has Ingress Protection rating of IP20 (basic protection)
  • IP23 – fitting has Ingress Protection rating of IP23 (protected against solid foreign objects of 12,5 mm and more and against water)
  • IP44 – fitting has Ingress Protection rating of IP44 (protected against solid foreign objects of 1mm and more and against spraying water)
  • IP68 – fitting has Ingress Protection rating of IP68 (protected against dust and against long periods of total immersion in water).
