Instructions for Use
Disposable Caps for TAT-5000S and TAT-2000 series of the Exergen
TemporalScanner™ Thermometer
Disposable Caps are designed for the Exergen TemporalScanner ™ Thermometer
and can be used to prevent contamination between patients.
During the temperature measurement session:
Single-use: The Disposable Caps can be used once on a single patient then
discarded in regular trash.
DO NOT reuse the same cap for different patients. Using the same cap for
multiple patients can increase the risk of infection.
Multiple-use: The multiple use of Disposable Caps is restricted to a single
patient only.
Note: To ensure optimal hygiene, it is recommended to use antiseptic disposable wipes to clean the Exergen TemporalScanner ™ Thermometer.
Using the Disposable Caps:
Apply cap by pushing onto the probe head with fingers. After temperature
measurement is completed, remove the cap by pushing edge forward with thumb.

If a serious incident has occurred in relation to this device, it should be
reported to the manufacturer
(service@exergen.com) and the competent
authority of the Member State in which the user and /or patient is
established.
