Stock Components Removal/Loosening
It is best to Google “how to remove bumper” for your particular trim. Once the bumper has been removed, you will need to remove two fasteners and loosen one of the fasteners that retain the diagonal braces (3 fasteners in total). The brace does not need to be removed; it only needs to pivot forward to facilitate the installation.
Big Mouth Installation
-
Begin by recognizing which side each ram air duct belongs to: there is a mark on each duct that will either indicate “D” for driver or “P” for passenger. For the next step, it may help to prop the diagonal braces on the crash bar absorber foam. Take the passenger side duct and place it onto the corresponding
diagonal brace. Repeat for the driver side. Line up the ducts with their corresponding inlets. Be careful with the radiator fins. -
Once positioned, use the supplied hardware and clamshells to fasten the duct to the crossbeam. The clamshells must be oriented with the “D” and “P” raised letters on them facing upwards. Position the clamshells with the curved face on the brace.
Thread an M4 cap screw into each brass insert on the snorkel. Tighten the screws in an alternating sequence to prevent the clamshell from binding. Ensure the duct is properly oriented before fully tightening the screws. Repeat for the other side.
Once the ducts are installed, reattach the diagonal braces to the crash bar and radiator support.
Final Assembly Review
Review the install and make sure nothing is binding or causing any preload on any parts, loosen and retighten if adjustment is necessary
