PROPER USE OF FREEZER

Placement
  • Before using the freezer, remove all packaging materials including bottom cushions, foam pads and tape inside, tear off the protective film on the door and the freezer body.
  • The freezer should be placed in a well-ventilated indoor place on ground that is flat and sturdy.
  •  Keep away from heat and avoid direct sunlight. Do not place the freezer in moist or watery places to prevent rust or reduction of insulation.
  •  Please leave at least 30 cm of space above the freezer, and 10 cm from both sides and backside to facilitate heat dissipation.
Start to Use
  • The freezer must stand upright for half an hour before connecting power when it is first started.
  • Run the freezer for 2 to 3 hours, or 4+ hours in the summer, before loading fresh or frozen food.
Energy Saving Tips
  • The appliance should be located in the coolest area of the room, away from heat producing appliances or heating ducts, and out of the direct sunlight.
  • Let hot foods cool to room temperature before placing in the appliance. Overloading the appliance forces the compressor to run longer. Foods that freeze too slowly may lose quality, or spoil.
  • Be sure to wrap foods properly, and wipe containers dry before placing them in the appliance. This cuts down on frost build-up inside the appliance.
  • Do not line storage bin with aluminum foil, wax paper, or paper towels. Liners interfere with cold air circulation, making the appliance less efficient.

MAINTENANCE OF FREEZER

Cleaning
  • Check the door gasket regularly to make sure there is no debris. Clean the door gasket with a soft cloth dampened with soapy water or diluted detergent.
  • Clean the interior of the freezer regularly to avoid odor.
  • Use a soft cloth or sponge to clean the inside of the freezer, with two tablespoons of baking soda and a quart of warm water. Then rinse with water and wipe clean. After cleaning, open the door and let it dry naturally before turning on the power.
  • For areas that are difficult to clean (such as narrow gaps or corners), it is recommended to wipe them regularly with a soft rag, soft brush, etc. to ensure no contaminants or bacteria accumulate in these areas.
  • Do not use soap, detergent, scrub powder, spray cleaner, etc., as these may cause odors in the interior of the freezer or contaminate food.
  •  Clean the bottle frame, shelves and drawers with a soft cloth dampened with soapy water or diluted detergent. Dry with a soft cloth or dry naturally.
  • Wipe the outer surface of the freezer with a soft cloth dampened with soapy water, detergent, etc., and then wipe dry.
  • Do not use hard brushes, clean steel balls, wire brushes, abrasives (such as toothpastes), organic solvents (such as alcohol, acetone, banana oil, etc.), boiling water, acid or alkaline items, which may damage the cooler surface and interior. Boiling water and organic solvents such as benzene may deform or damage plastic parts.
  • Do not rinse directly with water or other liquids during cleaning to avoid short circuits or affect electrical insulation.

Please unplug the freezer for defrost and cleaning.

Cleaning the Door Tray
  • Remove the door tray before cleaning by squeezing the tray inward, then pushing the tray upward to remove. Wash the tray, then replace the tray into the door.
Defrost
  • This appliance uses an automatic defroster. Frost formed due to warmer weather or a higher ambient temperature may be removed by first disconnecting the appliance to let defrost automatically, or may be removed manually with a dry towel.
Power Interruptions
  • In the event of an interruption of power, food inside the appliance can be kept for several hours if the door remains closed. Do not add any more food to the refrigerator during this time.
  • In the event of long-term power interruptions, unplug and clean the appliance, then leave the doors open to prevent odor build-up.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Inoperation

| Ensure the freezer is plugged in and connected to power

Check that the voltage is not low

Check for power failure or if circuits were tripped

---|---
Odor| Thoroughly clean the interior of the freezer.

Long-term operation of compressor

| Do not overload the freezer

Do not put hot contents in the freezer

Note that it is normal that the freezer operates for a longer time in summer when the ambient temperature is higher

Light is out

| Check if the freezer is still connected to power supply or if the light is damaged

Have light replaced by specialist

The freezer door can not be properly closed| Check for any items blocking the freezer door or unbalanced placement of items

Check if freezer is tilted

Loud noises

| Ensure that the freezer is sitting on a flat and stable surface

Ensure that the freezer accessories are properly placed

Door seal is not tight| Remove anything that may be on the door seal

Use a hair dryer or hot towel to heat the door seal and then allow it to cool

Water pan overflowing

| Make sure there isn’t too much food in the freezer and that the food does not contain too much water

If the doors aren’t properly closed, air entering through may result in increased water due to defrosting

Hot housing

| When housing becomes hot due to high ambient temperature or too much food being stored, provide ventilation to promote heat dissipation

Surface condensation

| Condensation on the exterior of the door seals is normal when ambient humidity is too high
Wipe the condensation with a clean towel

Airflow sound Buzz Clatter

| The compresser may cause a buzzing sound when starting up or shutting down.

The solenoid valve or electric switch valve may create a clattering sound which is normal and does not affect the operation.
