Product Usage Instructions

Installation:
Connect the provided AC adapter to the power outlet and the corresponding socket on the device.

Basic Operation:

  1. Use the power button to turn on the device.
  2. Use the controls to navigate between DAB and FM radio bands.

DAB & FM Station Presets:
To store a station:

  1. Select the desired station.
  2. Press and hold the preset button to save it.

USB Playback:

  1. Connect a USB device to the USB port on the device.
  2. Use the controls to play, pause, skip tracks, and adjust volume.

Alarm & Sleep Functions:
To set the alarm:

  1. Select the alarm time using the ‘TUNE/SELECT’ button.
  2. Choose the alarm duration and source (DAB, FM, USB, or Signal Tone).

To activate the sleep function:

  1. Access the ‘SLEEP’ setting in the menu.
  2. Select the desired sleep duration.

System Settings:

  1. Adjust display brightness and auto-off settings in the menu.
  2. Check the software version for updates if available.

  • Make sure the mains cable stays dry during operation. Do not pinch or damage the mains cable in any way.
  • A damaged mains cable or plug must immediately be replaced by an authorized service center.
  • In case of lightning, immediately disconnect the device from the mains supply.

  • Do not open or repair the enclosure. It is not safe to do so and will void your warranty. Repairs only by authorized service/ customer center.
  • No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the unit.
  • When you are necessary to ship the unit store it in its original package. Save the package for this purpose.
  • In case of malfunction due to electrostatic discharge or fast transient (burst), remove and reconnect the power supply.
  • If the unit is not using for a long period of time, disconnect it from the power supply by unplugging the power plug. This is to avoid the risk of fire.

INSTALLATION

  • CONTENT OF DELIVERY
    • Main unit
    • AC power supply
    • Instruction manual
  • POWER SUPPLY
    • Ensure that the voltage is the same as that indicated on the main unit identification plate.
    • Connect the supplied AC power supply to a properly installed safety power socket and the plug of the cable into the DC IN socket at the back side of the unit.

BASIC OPERATIONS

  • POWER ON / OFF
    • Press “POWER” to turn the unit on.
    • In on mode, press “POWER” to turn off the unit in standby mode.
  • SELECTING MODES
    • During playing mode, press the “POWER” repeatedly to open mode menu.
    • Turn “TUNE/SELECT” choose the requested source and press “TUNE/SELECT” to confirm.
  • ADJUSTING VOLUME
    • Turn “VOLUME -/+“for adjust the volume.
  • INFO/MENU
    • Press repeatedly “INFO/MENU” to show radio station or MP3 – ID3 tag information’s.
    • Press and hold “INFO/MENU” to open the menu.
    • Choose “TUNE/SELECT” the option and confirm by pressing “TUNE/SELECT”

DAB

Extend completely the telescopic antenna.

  1. Switch on and choose the DAB mode.
  2. At the first start the unit will automatically start the scan function and search all available stations.
  3. During the scan the display show “Scanning ………” together with a slide bar that indicate the progress of the scan and the number of found stations.
  4. After the scan has finished, the unit will play the first alphanumerically found station.
  5. Select a station with “ ” or “ ”.

Note:

  • If there is no DAB+ reception at any time, change the position of the unit or adjust the antenna. Select full scan function to start a new search.
  • If DAB reception is poor, dropouts may occur or the sound will be muted. Change the position to improve the reception.

FM

Extend completely the telescopic antenna. Change the position to improve the reception. When switched on, select the FM mode.

AUTOMATIC STATION STORAGE
To start the automatic forward search, press and hold “TUNE/SELECT”

Note : The radio automatically saves every found station to a preset.

MANUAL SEARCH
Briefly press the “ ” or “ ” button the to adjust the frequency in 50kHz steps. If you keep one of the buttons pressed down, the station search is starting and stops on the next found station.

DAB & FM STORE PRESET STATION

  1. Select the desired radio station.
  2. Press and hold the “PRESET” button until “Preset Store” is shown in the display.
  3. Choose with “ ” or “ ” the desired program station number and press to confirm “TUNE/SELECT”.
  4. Repeat steps 1 – 3 to store further radio stations.

You can also store desired radio station directly to preset station buttons “1 – 5”. To do this, select the desired radio station press and hold the corresponding station button pressed until “Preset # stored” appears on the display.

DAB & FM RECALL PRESET STATIONS

  1. To recall a stored station, press “PRESET”. “Preset Recall” is shown in the display.
  2. Choose with “ ” or “ ” the desired program station number and press to confirm the “SCAN/SELECT” button.
  3. If you choose a preset station number that has not been allocated a station,” Empty” will displayed.

To call up a direct saved preset station, press the corresponding preset station button on the device.

STATION INFORMATION
Press “INFO/MENU” repeatedly to cycle through the following information (if available).

  • DAB : Dynamic label segment (DLS) →Signal strength →Program type (PTY) →Ensemble name →Frequency →Bitrate codec →Date Press “TUNE/SELECT” for zoom DAB slide show
  • FM : Radio text/ Program type (PTY) →Station Name →Date

DAB/ FM MENU

  1. Press and hold “INFO/MENU” to access menu.
  2. Turn “TUNE/SELECT” to toggle through the menus.

DAB menu

  • [Full scan]: Scan for the DAB stations.
  • [Manual tune]: Tune to a frequency/station manually.
  • [DRC] : (Dynamic Range Compression) off, high, low.
  • [Prune] : No or Yes (Remove all the invalid station(s)
  • [Announcement]: On, No TA (traffic announcement), Only TA, Off
  • [System] see system setting

FM menu

  • [Scan setting]
  • [All stations]: Scan all the available FM stations.
  • [Strong stations]: Scan the strong FM stations only.
  • [System] see system setting

USB PLAYBACK

  1. Connect your USB drive with the USB port
  2. Switch the unit on and select USB mode.
  3. Press “TUNE/SELECT” to start/pause playback
  4. Press “ ” or “ ” to select previous/ next track.
  5. Press repeatedly “INFO/MENU” to show available ID3 tag information’s.

Note : When unit is 15 minutes in pause it will switch automatically in standby mode.

ALARM

  1. In on mode, press and hold “INFO/MENU”.

  2. Turn “TUNE/SELECT” to select “System” and press “TUNE/SELECT” for confirm.

  3. Choose the setting “Alarm” with “TUNE/SELECT” and press “TUNE/SELECT”.

  4. Select “Alarm 1 Setup” or “Alarm 2 Setup” and confirm with “TUNE/SELECT”.

  5. Choose following settings with “TUNE/SELECT” and confirm each by pressing the “TUNE/SELECT” button:

  6. “Hour” and “Minute” of the alarm time.

  7. Duration time: 15, 30, 45, 60, or 90 minutes.

  8. Wake up sound source: DAB, FM; USB or buzzer.
    Note : If “DAB” or “FM” is selected, you can adjust as radio station the “Last listened” radio station or select a preset station number.

  9. Wake-up frequency: Daily, once, weekends or weekdays.
    Note: if you select “Once”, set the date for the alarm.

  10. Set the volume for wake-up.

  11. “Alarm on” or “Alarm off”.

Note : If the alarm is activated, the display shows the alarm icon.

SNOOZE
When the alarm sounds, press the “TUNE/SELECT” button to temporarily suspend the alarm. The alarm sounds again after 9 minutes.

TURN OFF ALARM
When alarm sound, press any button (except “TUNE/SELECT”) to turn off the alarm sound.

SLEEP

  1. In on mode, press and hold “INFO/MENU”.
  2. Choose with “TUNE/SELECT” “System” and confirm with “TUNE/SELECT”.
  3. Choose the setting “Sleep” with “TUNE/SELECT” and press “TUNE/SELECT”.
  4. Select with “TUNE/SELECT” “Off” or the playing time 15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes and confirm with “TUNE/SELECT”.

Note : At activated sleep function, to turn off the unit, press the “POWER” button.

  1.  In on mode, press and hold “INFO/MENU”.

  2. Select with “TUNE/SELECT” “System” and confirm with “TUNE/SELECT”.

  3. Set the following settings with “TUNE/SELECT” and confirm each by pressing the “TUNE/SELECT” button:

  4. Sleep
    Pls, refer to “SLEEP”.

  5. Alarm
    Pls, refer to “ALARM”.

  6. Time
    Adjust the following time settings:

  *  **“Set Time / Date”** : Set manually time and date.
  *  **“Auto update** ”: Update time from “Any” (DAB or FM), DAB, FM, No update.
  *  **“Set 12/24 hour”** : Set the time format
  *  **“Set date format”** : Set the date format.
4.  **Backlight**
  * “ **Timeout** ”: Setting the time (10, 20, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, 180 or always on) until the display will be dimmed in on mode
  *  **“On level”:** Set the backlight level in on mode to “High”; “Medium” and “Low”
  *  **“Dim level”** : Set the backlight level in dimmed mode to “High”; “Medium” and “Low”
  * In standby mode the display will be always dimmed.
5.  **Language**  

Select the menu language: English, German, Italian, French

6.  **Factory Reset**  

Reset the product to factory default status. Choose with “TUNE/SELECT” the “YES” and press “TUNE/SELECT” to confirm.
Note : All settings and radio stations will be erased.

7. SW Version Show the current installed software version.
