Installation Guide

Requirements for Installation

To ensure proper installation, make sure your cabinet can support an additional weight of 90 lbs. Follow these steps to check the strength of your cabinet:

  1. Fill plastic milk jugs with sand (5 gallons of water).
  2. Gradually place the filled jugs on the bottom shelf of the cabinet.
  3. Inspect the cabinet for any damage as you add weight. If any damage is observed, do not install the microwave oven under the cabinet.

Cautions

  • Do not install the oven over a range, cooktop, or any other heat-producing appliance.
  • Ensure the electrical outlet is a standard 120 volt with at least 15 amps.
  • Refer to the use & care guide for complete electrical requirements.
  • Do not mount the oven while the plug is connected to an electrical outlet.

Mounting the Oven

  1. Lift the microwave oven and secure it using support material and screws as shown in the manual.
  2. Tighten the screws evenly until secured.

Template Instructions

Option A: Drilling from Inside Cabinet

  1. Place the Template inside the cabinet aligning it with the front edge.
  2. Cut if necessary to fit properly.

Option B: Drilling from the Bottom

  1. Tape the Template to the bottom of the cabinet aligning it properly.
  2. If needed, fold or cut the Template to fit properly.

INSTALLATION GUIDE

REQUIREMENTS FOR INSTALLATION
CHECKING THE CABINET: The bottom shelf of your cabinet must be strong enough to support an additional weight of 90 lbs. Please note, this weight is in addition to the normal contents of the cabinet as well as any other objects hung from the bottom of the cabinet. To check the strength of your cabinet, we recommend you fill some plastic milk jugs with sand(5 gallons of water) and gradually place them on the bottom shelf.
As you add each jug, inspect the cabinet for any damage(ie., separation of joints, splitting or cracking of the cabinet, etc). If you see any damage, you should not attach your microwave oven under the cabinet.
THE MANUFACTURER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR CABINET.

        1. Check for rotted wood and other weaknesses. 2. Check the number of screws used to install your cabinet. If your
        cabinet is attached to the wall with only two screws at the top then you should add two screws at the bottom in order to firmly secure your cabinet to the wall(please make certain the screws penetrate the wall studs by at least 1/2²). 3. Check the thickness of your cabinet s bottom shelf (It should be at least 3/16² thick).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

MOUNTING THE OVEN

TEMPLATE INSTRUCTIONS

Option A: Drilling from Inside Cabinet
If you can not drill from the inside of your cabinet, see Option B for drilling instructions.
1. Place the Template inside the cabinet so that the front line of the Template will be aligned with the front edge of the cabinet. If necessary, cut some areas of the Template in order to make it fit properly within your cabinet.
2. If the cabinet has a partition, please do the following: a. Cut Template B from Template A along the dotted line. b. Cut Template A into two pieces to fit each side of the partition. c. Position one piece of Template A inside the cabinet making certain the front line of Template A is aligned with the front edge of the cabinet. d. Position Template B in front of the cabinet so that the arrow, on Template B, is aligned with the hole center line in Template A (See figure A). e. Position the other part of Template A inside the cabinet so that the hole center line aligns with the arrow on Template B (See figure B). If you have followed the instructions properly, the distance between the right and left hole center lines can be determined from figure E.
