Product Usage Instructions

Painting the Sensors

  1. Detach the rubber ring from the sensor head.
  2. Clean the sensor head with 1000-grit sandpaper to remove the primer.
  3. Clean the sensor surface with a swab or alcohol-dipped cloth to remove dust.
  4. Mask the sensor, leaving only the head exposed, using masking tape.
  5. Apply primer to the exposed sensor head.
  6. Spray paint on the sensor head from a distance of 15-20 cm after ensuring the primer is completely dried.
  7. Bake the painted parts in an oven for 8-10 minutes at 800 degrees Celsius.
  8. Reattach the rubber ring on the sensor head.

Installation Process

  1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the car battery before starting installation.
  2. Follow ELSA Pro guidelines to remove the front bumper.
  3. Stick the template on the bumper and cut out regions for installing brackets using the provided drill bit.
  4. Position sensors according to Slavia guidelines.
  5. Use an 8mm drill bit for installation.
  6. After drilling, unscrew the nut from the hole saw bit and remove the larger diameter round.
  7. Pass the hole saw through the hole with the larger diameter part on the backside of the bumper.
  8. Ensure the bigger diameter cutting blade is on the back side of the bumper.

Painting the sensors

  1. Detach the rubber ring available on the sensor head and keep it aside as it needs to be reattached after completing the painting process.
  2. Clean the sensor head with the 1000 grit sandpaper & remove the primer (No substrate should be visible and no damage to the sensor head).
  3. Remove the dust from the sensor by cleaning the surface with SWAB or an alcohol-dipped cloth.
  4. Mask the whole sensor except the head using the masking tape.
  5. Place the sensor having a head in an upward direction and apply the primer over it.
  6. Now Spray the required paint on the sensor head using the spray gun (Spray distance: 15~20cm). Before proceeding with the paint application, it’s crucial to confirm that the primer has completely dried.
  7. Place the painted parts in the oven at 80°C for 60 minutes.
  8. Re-attach the rubber ring back on the sensor head.

Installation Process

  • Note: Ensure -ve terminal of a car battery is disconnected before starting installation.
  • Note: Remove the front bumper from the car following ELSA Pro guidelines.
  • Note: Stick the template and cut out the region where the brackets will be installed using the drill bit provided with the kit. See steps 3-11.
  • Note: Use an 8mm drill bit.
  • Note: After the drill, unscrew the nut from a hole saw bit set and take out a larger diameter round.
  • Note: Pass the hole saw through the hole and keep the smaller diameter part on the front & larger diameter part on the backside of the bumper.
  • Note: Make sure the bigger diameter cutting blade is back side of the bumper.
  • Note: Tighten the screw until the hole is formed.
  • Note: Repeat steps 6-12 for the other 3 holes using the template that was pasted in step 4.
  • Note: Clean the area around the hole using cloth and then using the SWAB as shown in steps 14-16.
  • Note: Now apply the Primer around the hole using the cotton and wait until it’s dry.
  • Note: During sensor unit fitment in Bracket make sure the lock of the sensor will rest in the bracket slot.
  • Note: Peel off the adhesive protection layer from the tape.
  • Note: Paste the bracket at a designated location as shown and the bracket should be pasted with the sensor in the assembled form to avoid sensor position mismatch.
  • Note: Attach the sensor harness connectors to all four sensors.
  • Note: Paste the Cable tie bases and insert the cable ties after following the cleaning & primer application process, reference location for pasting the tie base is in step 27.
  • Note: Route the harness and tie with the cable ties, after tightening cut the extra edge of the cable ties.
  • Note: Route the wire behind the fender as shown.
  • Note: Route the harness using the flexible steel wire in the arrow direction from step 30 to 33.
  • Note: Detach the grommet available on RHS and drill a hole in the center using a drill bit to pass the sensor harness shown in steps 34 to 38.
  • Note: Drill bit size 10mm.
  • Note: After routing the sensor harness through the grommet, attach the grommet at its designated location and seal it with the sealant to avoid any water insertion in the cabin.
  • Note: Route the brake patch Y-harness as highlighted in the above diagram and attach it with the vehicle’s brake lamp available on the rear windshield, follow steps 41 to 45.
  • Note: Detach the male connector from the Brake lamp and connect it with a female connector of the brake patch Y-Harness.
  • Note: Assemble the Y harness male connector with the vehicle’s brake lamp as shown)
  • Note: Remove the interior trim from the car following ELSA Pro guidelines
  • Note: Assemble the wires from the sensor harness to the 16-pin white ECU connector available in the power harness. Follow steps 47- 50 for all the pins.
  • Note: Follow the above diagram to do the wire fitment in the ECU connector
  • Note: Assemble the brake connection wire in cavity no. 9 as shown in the diagram at step 48.
  • Note: Pull out the 7.5A fuse (Cavity No. F41) from the fuse box.
  • Note: Connect the fuse from the vehicle to the power harness as shown.
  • Note: Install the fuse adaptor in the fuse box (Cavity No. F41) as shown.
  • Note: attach the ground terminal in the M10 Bolt available beside the fuse box.
  • Note: Remove the dashboard trim from the car following ELSA pro guidelines & assemble the template as shown.
  • Note: Drill a hole of 14mm Dia. as per the template & assemble the switch.
  • Note: Install the switch into the dashboard.
  • Note: The final assembly looks like this.
  • Note: Connect the switch wire with the power harness as shown.
  • Note: Connect the Buzzer connector with the power harness.
  • Note: Peel off the protection layer of DSA tape.
  • Note: Assemble the buzzer behind the fuse box as shown.
  • Note: Assemble the Power harness connector into the ECU.
  • Note: Peel off the protection layer of DSA tape.
  • Note: Assemble the ECU in the vehicle at the location beside the fuse box as shown.
  • Note: Tie all the loose wires.
  • Note: Re-assemble the dashboard part back following ELSA pro guidelines.
  • Note: Assemble the bumper of the car following the ELSA Pro guideline.
  • Note: Connect the -ve terminal of the car battery after the installation.
  • Note: Turn on the switch as shown in the image and test the functioning as mentioned in the user manual.
