Product Usage Instructions

Battery Removal and Installation:

1. Close the cover to turn the unit OFF.
2. Locate the battery cover on the bottom of the unit. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw and then open the battery cover.
3. If used batteries are present, remove these batteries from the unit by pulling up on one end of each battery.
4. Install 3 new AAA (AM-4/LR03) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended.
5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.

Activate Normal Play

1. Open the Cover.
2. Press and hold Home + Spa Science + Enter Buttons until you hear 2 short beeps.
3. MerCat & Me On-the-Go is now ready for Normal Play!
4. Press Left, Right, and Enter Buttons to set up time and clock face.

Swim into some fun and learning with MerCat, Gabby and the Gabby Cats! Play four games that introduce shapes and letters, and encourage problem-solving and memory skills. Then use math skills to whip up spa-tacular potions. Meow- mazing!

WARNING:
All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks, removable tags, cable ties, cords and packaging screws are not part of this toy, and should be discarded for your child’s safety.

NOTE:
Please save this Instruction Manual as it contains important information.

Unlock the Packaging Locks

Turn the packaging lock anticlockwise several times.
Pull out and discard the packaging lock.

INSTRUCTIONS

BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

1.  Close the cover to turn the unit OFF.
2. Locate the battery cover on the bottom of the unit. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw and then open the battery cover.
3.  If used batteries are present, remove these batteries from the unit by pulling up on one end of each battery.
4. Install 3 new AAA (AM-4/LR03) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended.)
5.  Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.

Note: When battery is removed, the time, alarm setting and inventory of potion ingredients will all be reset.

WARNING:
Adult assembly required for battery installation. Keep batteries out of reach of children.

IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION

• Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
•  Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
• Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
• Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
• Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
• Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
• Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire. RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES:
• Remove rechargeable batteries (if removable) from toy before charging.
• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.

Activate Normal Play

When you use MerCat & Me On-the-Go for the first time, you must exit the Try- Me mode.

1. Open the Cover

2.  Press and hold Home + Spa Science
   + Enter Buttons until you hear 2 short beeps

3. MerCat & Me On-the-Go is now ready for Normal Play!

4.  Press Left, Right and Enter Buttons to set up time and clockface.

PRODUCT FEATURES

1. Cover
   Open the Cover to turn the unit on. Close the Cover to
   turn the unit off. If the Cover is open and the unit turns off automatically, press the Home, Spa Science or Gabby Cat of the Day Button to turn the unit on again.

2. Home Button
   Press the Home Button anytime to return to the Main Menu to select Potion Box, Find Ingredients and Settings.

3.  Spa Science Button
   Press this button to do Spa Science and mix magic potions with MerCat!

4. Gabby Cat of the Day Button
   Press this button to see the Gabby Cat of the Day.

5. Four Arrow Buttons
   Press the Up, Down, Left and Right Buttons to select options or play games.

6. Enter Button
   Press the Enter Button to confirm a selection.

7. Clock
   The Clock displays for a few seconds each time the Cover is opened.

8. Alarm Clock
   Set alarm with a choice of alarm tones. Open the Cover and press any button to silence an alarm. Return to the Settings menu to disable alarm.

9. Automatic Shut Off
   To preserve battery life, the MerCat & Me On-the-Go will automatically turn off after approximately 90 seconds of inactivity. The unit can be turned on again by pressing the Home, Spa Science or Gabby Cat of the Day Button. The unit will also automatically turn off when the batteries are too low. A warning will be displayed on screen as a reminder to change the batteries.

10. . Clip
    Use the attached clip to hook the ring on top of the MerCat & Me On-the-Go and fasten it to the bag etc. to keep it close.

NOTE :
If the unit powers down while playing, we suggest changing the batteries.

Activities

1. Clock
   The Clock displays for a few seconds each time the Cover is opened. While the Clock is displayed, press the Enter Button to choose a different character face. Press any other button to return to the main menu.

2. Potion Box Press the Left or Right Button to see the inventory of potion ingredients: Bubbles, Gems, Sprinkles and Confetti.

3. Find Ingredients
   Play games to Find Ingredients for purrfect potions in Spa Science! Press the Left or Right Button to view games. Press the Enter Button to confirm a game.

4. Bubbles, Bubbles Bubbles
   One of the Gabby Cats is trapped in super strong magic bubbles! Press the Arrow Buttons to select shapes or bubbles, then press the Enter Button to pop them. Pop shapes and bubbles, free the kitty and find an ingredient.

5. Hide and Seek
   Watch and remember where the Gabby Cats are hiding. Then press the Left, Right, Up or Down Buttons to find them.

6. DJ Dance Off
   Ready to groove？ Watch and remember DJ Catnip’s moves. Then press the Left, Right, Up and Down Buttons to repeat DJ Catnip’s dance moves.

7. Tic Cat Toe
   The mirror in the bathroom is all steamed-up – perfect for playing Tic-Cat- Toe! Press the Arrow Buttons to choose a space, then press the Enter Button.

8. Settings
   Set the Clock and adjust the Backlight, Volume and Screen Contrast. Press the Left or Right Buttons, then press the Enter Button.

• Backlight Setting
  Press the Left or Right Button then press the Enter
  Button. Select the X to turn the backlight off. Select the  check to turn backlight on.

• Volume Setting
  Press the Left or Right Button to select the high, mid, or low volume setting, then press the Enter Button.

• Contrast Setting
  Press the Left or Right Button to select the light, mid or dark screen contrast setting, then press the Enter Button.

• Alarm Setting
  Press the Left or Right Button to set alarm on/off, set the time, and choose between three alarm tones. Press the Enter Button to confirm.

• Time Setting
  Press the Left or Right Button to change the time and character faces. (The AM/PM setting is only applicable in 12-hour time format). Press the Enter Button to confirm.

Spa Science

Press the Spa Science Button and use math skills to measure ingredients and whip up potions with MerCat! Press the Right Button to add ingredients. Press the Left Button to remove ingredients. Then press both buttons quickly to mix the potion. Voila! Purrfect potion-making!

 Gabby Cat of the Day

Press the Gabby Cat of the Day Button to see which Gabby Cat is the Cat of the Day! Come back every day to see who it is this time.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat source.
3.  Remove the batteries when the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
4. . Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:

1. Please close the Cover to turn the unit Off.
2.  Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
3.  Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
4. Open the Cover to turn the unit On. The unit should now be ready to use again.
5. If the unit still does not work, install a new set of batteries.
