ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Leighton Large Barrel Chandelier
Item # KS 5067
NOTICE
This light fixture should be installed in accordance with all applicable,
local installation codes, and by a person familiar with the construction and
operation of it, as well as the hazards involved. Inspect items and contents
carefully. If any damage or defect is found, do not install it. Retain all
packaging material until installation is complete and approved.
TOOLS REQUIRED (NOT INCLUDED)
- Phillips Screwdriver
- Wire Strippers
- Slotted Screwdriver
- Slip-joint pliers
- Wire Cutters

Carefully remove all parts from the box. Place on a clean, soft surface.

Remove mounting plate (B) from the canopy (F) by removing the collar ring (G).

It is recommended to install a 1/4 IPS threaded pipe, secured to a structural member of the building (not included). Then install the hex nut and threaded nipple (W) into the receiver and tighten it with a wrench. NOTE: The item must be supported independently of the junction box due to weight.

Install mounting bracket (X) to threaded nipple (W) and secure with hex nut.

Install mounting plate (B) to mounting bracket (X) and secure with screws (Y).

Feed electrical wire, ground wire, and safety cable through bottom rod (I) and connect to fixture body (J).

Continue feeding wires through the collar ring (G), canopy (F), and top rod (H).

Holding fixture upright, slide collar ring (G) and canopy (F) down, and rest on fixture body (J). Then connect the top rod (H) to the bottom rod (I). NOTE: Slide components down slowly to avoid damage.

Hang the fixture swivel ball to the center of the mounting plate (B) and secure using set screw (D) with a provided wrench (E).

Cut excess wires, and be sure to leave enough to reach the junction box.

Separate two sides of the molded wire, and strip insulation on each 5/8″.

Loosen the cable lock and install to the end of the safety cable. Run safety cable through the junction box and around structural members of the building. Insert cable through cable lock and tighten the ends with a screwdriver to secure. (See diagram 1)

Wrap fixture ground wire (bare copper) around the green grounding screw (see diagram 2). Tighten. Continue fixture ground wire and connect to supply ground wire (usually green or bare copper) using wire nut (A).
NOTE: It is imperative that the fixture is grounded. -
Connect the fixture neutral wire (white) to the supply neutral wire (usually white) using wire nut (A).

Connect the fixture hot wire (black) to the supply hot wire (usually black) using wire nut (A).
CAUTION: Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections. -
Make sure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck them into the junction box.

Install canopy (F) to mounting plate (B) and secure with collar ring (G).

Install light bulbs into the sockets.

Thread metal rods (K) and (P) to the center hub, then remove finials (O) from the metal rods.

Attach rubber washers (L) and glass disks (M) to metal rods (K) and secure with rubber washers (N) and finials (O).

Remove finials (O) from metal rods (S).

Attach rubber washers (L) and glass disks (T) to metal rods (S) and secure them with rubber washers (N) and finials (O).

Install a glass disk (U) to the bottom of the center hub and secure it with a finial (V).

Care Instructions
Clean only with a soft dry cloth or feather duster. Do Not use abrasive or
chemical agents.
