Qualcomm FiiO Q15 DAC and Headphone Amplifier

Buttons and Ports Labeled

  • Turn on/off
    When the device is off, long press the Power/Ldtk button to turn it on. When it is on, long press the “Power/Lock” button to turn it off. When it is an, short press the “Power/Lock” button to wake up/turn off the display.

  • Charging
    The device has two USB ports, both of which support PD fast charging and regular 5V power charging. The port marked with “USB” supports PD fast charging. When charging the battery through it, please set both the “Phone mode switch” and “Desktop mode switch” to OFF. When charging the battery through it, please set the “Desktop mode switch” to OFF.

  • PHONE MODE
    After connecting to a mobile phone for decoding, the device provides an option of whether to consume the battery of the phone or not. When the “Phone mode switch” is set to “ON”, the device will not consume the phone’s battery. When the switch is set to “OFF”, the phone will charge the device instead.

  • DESKTOP MODE
    The device supports a desktop mode. When the “Desktop mode switch” is set to “ON”, the device can be used as a desktop decoder. In this mode, the battery of the device can not be charged.When the switch is set to “OFF”, the desktop mode will be disabled.
    Note: To protect the battery, if the device shuts down due to low battery, it will be forcibly charged.

Instructions for the Volume Knob

  1. Working mode switching: On the homepage, short press the volume knob to enter the working mode menu. Rotate the knob to successively switch between “USB” – “COAXIAL” – “BLUETOOTH” modes. Short press the volume knob for confirmation. Long press the volume knob to return to the homepage.
  2. Settings menu: On the homepage, long press the volume knob to call up the settings menu. Rotate the knob to switch between different settings and short press it for confirmation. Long press the volume knob for about 2s to return to the previous page.
  3. Volume adjusting: On the homepage, rotate the volume knob to turn the volume up and down.

Working Modes
The device supports 3 working modes:

  1. USB : USB decoding, connect to mobile phones or computers via USB for decoding;
    “Note : You would need to install the USB DAC driver when connecting the device to a Windows computer for USB decoding. Please download the USB DAC driver on our website at http://www.fiio.com/Driver_Download , and follow the relevant instructions to install it. The OSX system runs driver-free.

  2. COAXIAL: Coaxial decoding, connect to devices with a coaxial output;

  3. BLUETOOTH : Bluetooth decoding, connect to devices that support Bluetooth output;
    When switched to the Bluetooth receiving mode for the first time, the device will automatically enter the pairing state. At this time, the screen of the device will display “Pairing … “. In later uses when entering the Bluetooth receiving mode, the device will automatically reconnect to the last-connected device.
    Note: The device does not support voice calls through Bluetooth.

In Bluetooth decoding mode, the button functions are as follows:

  • Force into paring mode: Long press the Play/Pause button for about 3s;
  • Manual reconnect: Short press the Play/Pause button when the device is disconnected;
  • Clear pairing: Long press the Previous track+Next track buttons for about 3s at the same time;
  • Play/Pause: Short press the Play/Pause button;
  • Previous track/Next track: Short press the Previous track/Next track button.

Notes and Precautions

  • Please do not put the battery in a high-temperature environment. The battery is prohibited from use if it is soaked in water, or if it gets swollen. Please do not disassemble, hit, crush, or puncture the battery, and do not put it on fire.
  • Please do not place the device in circumstances of excessive high/low temperatures (above 45QC or below OQC), or in an enclosed high-temperature environment, such as in a car.
  • Please do not repair or disassemble the product on your own and do not put it near water.
  • Please charge the battery on a regular basis to secure the battery life if this product has not been used for a long time.
  • You might not be able to hear the sound of the surroundings when using headphones. For your safety, please avoid using headphones in dangerous situations.
  • It is recommended to use a suitable charger in case of a high-voltage adapter causing damage to the device.
  • In the likely event that the QlS hangs up, please try to hold the power button for about 10s to reset it.

WEEE Directive & Product Disposal
Af the end of its serviceable life, this product should not be handed as household or general waste. It should be handed over to the applicable collection point for the – recycling of electrical and electronic equipment or returned to the supplier for disposal.

Internal/Supplied Batteries:
This symbol on the battery indicates that the battery is to be collected separately. This battery is designed for separate collection at an appropriate collection point.
