INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

  • Start by removing the 4 torx bolts that secure the center portion of the bumper cover to the vehicle and then remove and set aside the enter section and the bolts removed, you will not need anything removed from this step.
  • Remove the 4 torx bolts securing the outer portion of the bumper cover, these are located on the outside sections as shown in the picture above. Set aside the upper two bolts as they will get used later with the EOD bumper.
  • Next, remove the 2 plastic clips securing the lower portion of the grill to the bumper, these will not be needed anymore. From there remove the 4 factory 15mm bolts that secure the bumper to the vehicle, and set aside the bolts for later use.
  • Remove the 10mm bolts that secure the lower bumper cover brackets to the frame, these brackets and bolts are not needed anymore as well.Polaris-FWB610012-Turbo-R-Volt-Front-Winch-Bumper-FIG-4
  • Separate the inner and outer bumper sections from each other by removing the two bolts up top and the lower 4 skid plate bolts and then using the factory 15mm hardware removed earlier, mount the inner section to the vehicle as shown and torque down the bolts. A winch can be installed to the inner structure with the wiring exiting out either side to accommodate different setups, if one is being used then install it now paying attention to how the rope exits the spool of the winch making sure it is a straight line to the fairlead opening on the outer bumper then torque down to the manufacturer’s specification. Pull out a couple of feet of rope from the winch to make feeding the rope through the outer bumper easier.
  • Next install the fairlead to the outer bumper and torque down, if any lights are being mounted now is a good time to install them with the included brackets and hardware, also with so many types and sizes of lights available pay attention to make sure there is no interference with the grill or plastics of the vehicle upon assembly.
  • While holding the outer bumper feed the winch rope through the fairlead and then carefully set the bumper over the inner structure lining up the mounting holes.
  • Loosely install the upper two supplied bolts removed earlier and start the lower 4 bolts also removed earlier.
  • Once those bolts are installed grab the 2 factory torx bolts that were removed from the outer bumper cover and install them into the outer upper section of the EOD bumper.
  • Now that all the bolts are started you can tighten them down working from the center bolts out.
  • If a winch was installed, attach the hook to the winch rope and run it in to get rid of the slack created earlier. Perform a final checkover of all the work completed and enjoy another great product from Elektric Offroad Designs!
