ColorDesigner PLUS v3.8 – Patch 6
Contents of Patch
Patch 6 includes the following updates:
- Corrected a problem in expert mode color match in which it was not possible to manually select the paint base.
- Corrected an issue in expert mode in which manual entry was not available if “Allow color lookup to cross paint lines” was enabled.
- Fixed a software crash that occurred when correcting a formula in expert mode.
- Solved a problem in expert mode where the password dialog would appear unexpectedly.
- Corrected a problem in the dispenser queue where the software would ignore the can quantity.
- Fixed a software crash that occurred when printing labels in any language besides English.
- Solve a problem that occurred when updating databases in any language besides English.
Patch 6 also includes everything in Patch 4:
- Fixed a software crash that occurred when editing a formula.
- Fixed a problem in which Color Lookup with All Collections selected returned results only from electronic formula books; fandeck results were omitted.
- Fixed an error that occurred after restoring a customer file backup that was created with an earlier version of ColorDesigner PLUS.
Patch 6 also includes everything in Patch 3:
- Added support for end user messages associated with specific paint bases.
- Corrected a software crash that occurred when modifying formula details in customer files.
- Streamlined the database update system further by compressing the version independent file format.

In Color Lookup, when a single color collection is selected, the results are no longer limited to 100 items.

In Expert Mode, cross paint line lookup with palette search is now operational.

The Expert Mode screen was further refined for ease of use.

All the included label templates were updated to be compatible with the Seiko SLP 650.
They can also be used with all Dymo printers. -
Corrected an issue in which some formulas in the dispenser queue could not be displayed. The problematic formulas were generated with a paint line database that was later removed from the software.

ColorDesigner PLUS settings are now the same for all Windows user accounts, ensuring consistency for the paint workstation. This is true regardless of whether the settings are set inside the CD PLUS user interface, restored from a backup, or loaded as part of a database update. Previously, each Windows user account had its own CD PLUS settings.
When this patch is installed, the settings for the current Windows user will be taken as the workstation settings. The settings for all other Windows users will not be retained. -
Resolved an issue when performing a correction with a CFH/CF903 paint line, in which out of stock colorants might be included in the correction formula.

Corrected an issue where colorant costs were incorrectly recalculated when a formula was scaled from one can size to another.

Resolved an issue where colorant costs were incorrectly calculated with certain formula display settings, for example when formulas were displayed by weight.
Installing the Patch

Download the patch and unzip it. Double click CDPPatch.exe to start the installation.

During the installation, you will see the following window. Wait for the installation to finish.

When the installation is finished, click OK.
