PENTAIR POOL Clean and Clear Rp Cartridge Filter Instructions
How to safely service in four key steps:
-
Let air and pressure out of the system before and after servicing.
a. Shut off the pump and RELIEVE PRESSURE by opening the manual air/pressure relief valve before servicing.
b. Follow Startup Instructions exactly after completing the service (see page 3 of the manual).
The air/pressure relief valve must remain open until water comes out, allowing all air out of the system. -
Install the lid and clamp ring properly.
a. Follow Lock Ring Installation Instructions exactly (page 3). -
Maintain the circulation system properly to help prevent air from entering the system.
a. Replace worn or damaged parts immediately (e.g., closure, pressure gauge, valve(s), O-rings, etc.).
b. Maintain proper water levels in the pool or spa. -
Verify that the return line to the pool is unobstructed. Ensure return valves are open and any winterising plugs are removed.
THIS FILTER OPERATES UNDER HIGH PRESSURE. WHEN ANY PART OF THE CIRCULATING SYSTEM (e.g., LOCK RING, PUMP, FILTER, VALVES, ETC.) IS SERVICED, AIR CAN ENTER THE SYSTEM AND BECOME PRESSURISED. PRESSURISED AIR CAN CAUSE THE LID TO BE BLOWN OFF WHICH CAN RESULT IN SEVERE INJURY, DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE. TO AVOID THIS POTENTIAL HAZARD, FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS
