Product Usage Instructions

Before First Use :

Remove all packaging materials and stickers from the kettle.
Fill the kettle with water up to the desired level. Do not exceed the maximum fill line.
Place the kettle on the base and plug it into a power source.

PURPOSE OF THE APPLIANCE: The kettle is designed for heating and boiling drinking water.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

The following requirements should be strictly observed in order to avoid situations hazardous for human life and health, as well as premature failures of the appliance:

Carefully read the present manual prior to operating the appliance. Retain the present manual, cash voucher and appliance packaging.
This appliance is designed for home use. Use the appliance only for its intended purpose.
This appliance is not designed for commercial applications. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
Do not place the appliance near heat sources, do not expose it to direct sunlight and moisture (do not submerse it in water or other liquids).
Do not touch the appliance with wet hands. In case of ingress of moisture or leakage from the appliance immediately disconnect it from power supply.
Always disconnect the appliance from power supply after use and before cleaning (pull the plug, do not pull it out by the cable).
Do not let children play with the appliance. Do not leave the appliance unattended. Ensure that the power cable is routed in a location inaccessible for children.
Regularly check the appliance and its power cable for damage. Operating a damaged appliance is not allowed.

SPECIAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Fill the kettle with cold water only.
Ensure that the kettle is turned off before removing it from the base!
Ensure that the lid is firmly closed before turning the kettle on.
Do not attempt to boil water in the kettle with the lid open, this will prevent the automatic shutdown from functioning and may cause a fire.
Use the kettle only together with the base supplied with it.
Do not submerse the kettle in water.
Avoid contact of water with the surface of the kettle and the power base.
The appliance should not be used by children, physically and mentally handicapped persons.
The water level should be between the MAX and MIN marks! If the kettle is folled over the maximum level mark, boiling water may spill out!
Do not attempt to boil water in the kettle with the lid open, this will prevent the automatic shutdown from functioning and may cause a fire.

OPERATING PROCEDURE

Retain all packaging materials until you make sure that the kettle operates properly.
Ensure that the power supply grid voltage corresponds to the one indicated on the kettle’s base before operating it.
Do not operate the unit with damaged power cable or plug.
Before the first use boil and discard water two times. It is recommended to add some citric acid to the water for the first boiling. The kettle is designed for boiling pure water only.
Place the kettle on a smooth level surface. Do not place the kettle at the edge of a table.
Connect the kettle to an electric socket. Excessive power cord can be wrapped around the guides inside the base and draw its end through the cutout in its side.
Do not let the power cord hang from a table where a child can pull on it.
Do not place the kettle near heating appliances and hot surfaces.

CUSTOM OPERATIONS

TEA PREPARATION MODES

Grasp the handle of the kettle and lift it vertically from the base. Open the lid. Do not pour hot tap water into the kettle. Open the faucet and drain the water for a few seconds to make sure it is clean.
Pour water into the kettle. Monitor the water level on the scale on the flask.
Do not allow the kettle to overflow above the MAX mark. Caution: in case of overflow, boiling water may be released through the spout of the kettle.
Close the lid until it clicks. If the lid is not tightly closed, the kettle may not turn on.
Install the base on a dry, flat, horizontal surface, connect it to the power supply. When installing the kettle on the base, the power circuit and the power switch will be connected.
The device will switch to the setting mode (all the settings indicators will light up), the device will emit a single beep, the current temperature will be displayed on the display.
Press the button, a beep will sound, the current temperature will be displayed on the display, the device will switch to boiling mode.
At the end of boiling the water, a beep will sound, and the device will automatically switch to heating mode. The heating time is 2 hours. During these 2 hours, if the temperature drops more than 5 degrees below the set temperature, heating is turned on.
After the water boils, the device will emit a double beep for 30 seconds, the backlight of all buttons except the button will flash. (When switched on, the backlight of the button lights up in the absence of actions for 30 seconds, after which the device automatically switches to standby mode and the backlight of the power button starts flashing. In standby mode, press the power button and the button of the desired operating mode to activate the device. To force the switch to standby mode, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds).
Remove the kettle from the power base vertically, holding the kettle by the handle. When removing the kettle from the power base, condensation may be visible on its upper plane. This is acceptable and is not a defect.
NOTE: In the state of keep warm, after boiling water to the set temperature, the memory function of lifting kettle will be started. Within ten times of kettle lifting and put back, the water temperature is not less than 8 ⁰С of the set value, and the memory is effective, that is, the keep warm will continue to work, and the time of keep warm will continue to the last time. Otherwise, the memory function is not valid.
IMPORTANT! Press the buttons with your thumb to increase the contact area.

HEAT MODE

IPress the mode selection button , a beep will sound, the device will switch to the selection mode. As a repeat governor, choose an unsuitable option (40, 70, 80, 90, 100 ° C).
The indicator will display the set temperature, the backlight of the indicators , and the selected temperature mode will flash, the current water temperature will be displayed on the display. When the water temperature reaches the set value, the device will automatically switch to the heating mode. The heating time is 2 hours. If during this time the temperature drops more than 5 degrees below the set temperature, the heating will turn on. In the heating mode, after heating the water to the set temperature, the memory function is activated. If, after removing the kettle from the base ten times, the temperature does not drop more than 8 degrees below the set temperature, the heating mode with memory will be maintained, the heating will continue to work and heat the water to the last fixed value. Otherwise, the heating mode is turned off.
NOTE: In standby state, only the power button is valid, and other buttons are invalid, and kettle under the setting state. To switch the function, press the power button again to switch to the setting interface.)

DRY OPERATION SAFETY

The kettle is equipped with a system the automatically turns it off when it is accidentally turned on without water or with an insufficient amount of water inside. If the system is tripped disconnect the kettle from power supply and let it cool down for 15 minutes. After that you may resume operation of the appliance. An unpleasant odor may occur if the safety is tripped.

MAINTENANCE SCALE REMOVAL

Regularly remove scale using special descaling chemicals. Follow the instructions on the packaging. You may also use a weak citric acid or vinegar solution to remove scale. Do not try to use a more concentrated solution as it may lead to corrosion and leaks from the appliance.
ATTENTION! The guarantee undertakings do not cover the damage caused by improper scale removal.
CLEANING

Always disconnect the appliance from power supply before cleaning!
Clean the outer surfaces of the kettle, if necessary, with a slightly dampened cloth without detergents.
Do not submerge the kettle or base in water.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents and solvents to clean the kettle.

GUARANTEE MAINTENANCE TERMS

The guarantee shall be valid if the following documentation conditions are observed: – The original Warranty Card shall be filled out correctly and clearly, indicating the of appliance model, serial number and sale date, the stamp of the seller company and signature of its representative shall be available, as well as the stamps on each coupon and the buyer’s signature in the Warranty Card.
The Manufacturer reserves the right to reject guarantee maintenance if the buyer fails to provide the abovementioned documents or if the information contained therein is incomplete, illegible or ambiguous.
The guarantee shall be valid if the following operation conditions are observed:
- the appliance is used in strict accordance with the present manual;
- the safety rules and requirements are observed.
The guarantee does not apply to regular maintenance, cleaning, installation and setup of the appliance at the owner’s location.
The guarantee does not apply in the following cases:
- mechanical damage;
- normal wear of the appliance;
- non-observance of operation requirements or erroneous actions on the part of the user;
- improper installation or transportation;
- natural disasters (lightning, fire, flood, etc.), as well as any other causes beyond the Manufacturer’s or Seller’s control;
- ingress of foreign objects, liquids or insects into the inside of the appliance;
- repairs or modifications to the appliance by unauthorized persons;
- use of the appliance for commercial purposes (loads exceeding normal domestic application), connection of the appliance to utility and telecommunication networks incompliant with national technical standards;
- failure of the following accessories, if replacement of these is allowed by design and does not involve disassembly of the appliance:
- remote control units, rechargeable batteries, replaceable batteries (power cells), external power supply units and chargers;
- consumables and accessories (packaging, covers, slings, carry bags, mesh screens, blades, flasks, plates, supports, grilles, spits, hoses, tubes, brushes, nozzles, dust collectors, filters, smell absorbers);
- for battery-powered appliances – operation with inappropriate or depleted batteries;
- for rechargeable battery-powered appliances – any damage caused by improper battery charging and recharging.
The present guarantee is provided by the Manufacturer in addition to the consumer rights determined by the applicable legislation and does not limit these rights in any way.
The Manufacturer shall not be made liable for possible damage, directly or indirectly inflicted by CENTEK brand products on people, domestic animals, the consumer’s or third persons’ property if such damage is inflicted as the result of non-observance of appliance installation and operation requirements, deliberate or negligent actions (omission) by the consumer or third persons, as well as of force majeure circumstances.
Service centers will only accept appliances in a clean state (there should be no food residues, dust and other contamination on the appliance).
