VÅRDA 500ml Wood Stain Paint

Protective wood stain for outdoor furniture. Light brown.
EU limit value for this product (cat. A/e): 130 g VOC/l (2010).

VÅRDA transparent wood stain, light brown
Contents: water, alkyd binders, pigments, dulling agent, iron based dryer, biocide: 1,2-benzisothiazol3(2H)-one.
ONE COAT COVERS:
7.5 m² (80 ft²)/500 ml – untreated wood. 10 m² (105 ft²)/500 ml – previously treated wood.
DRYING TIME: Wait 36 hours before using the furniture to allow the stain to dry thoroughly.
STORAGE: At temperatures not above +40ºC (+104ºF) or below +5ºC (+41ºF).
STORAGE LIFE: Unopened bottle, 2 years from production date on the bottom of the bottle. Opened bottle should be used within 6 months of first opening.
CAUTION!
Keep out of the reach of children. Do not take internally. Use in a well- ventilated area.
In case of contact with eyes, rinse eyes with water. Consult a doctor if discomfort persists.

MAINTENANCE

You can easily refresh your wooden outdoor floor decking and make it more durable by restaining it on a regular basis, for example once a year.
You may need to restain the floor decking more frequently, depending on the climate you live in and the floor decking’s exposure to sun and rain.
Re-staining prevents the surface from drying out and cracking and moisture from penetrating into the wood. A good indication that you need to re-stain is if raindrops are absorbed directly into the wood and no longer form small beads on the surface.
How to re-stain:
Choose a place in the shade for cleaning, re-staining and leaving the furniture to dry. Avoid direct sunlight.

Wipe clean with a soft cloth dampened in water and a mild soapy solution, if necessary.
Wipe dry with a clean and dry cloth.
Use a soft brush to remove tougher stains.
If necessary, sand the surface with fine grade sandpaper. Be sure to sand it in the direction of the grain.
Do not use steel wool or a brush with metal bristles –pieces of metal may become embedded in the wood and rust. If wood fibres rise after cleaning, sand the surface with fine grade sandpaper.
Shake the can well and apply a thin, even coat of stain to the furniture using a brush or sponge. Apply on the entire surface at once and in the direction of the grain.
Water-based stain dries quickly so be sure to wipe off any excess with a dry cloth directly after application. Wash brushes and your hands with soap and water. EU limit value for this product (cat. A/e): 130 g VOC/l (2010).
