INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Dear Customer,
Thank You for purchasing a CENTEK brand product.
We guarantee flawless function of this item, provided the guidelines of its
operation are observed.
Purpose of the device: for slicing various food products.
The electric slicer is a home appliance and is not designed for industrial
applications!
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
The following requirements should be strictly observed in order to avoid situations hazardous for human life and health, as well as premature failures of the appliance:

Before connecting the appliance to the power supply grid, ensure that its specifications correspond to the values indicated on the appliance.

In case of damage to the power cable or any other part of the appliance immediately disconnect it from power supply and apply to a service centre authorized by the Manufacturer. In case of an unauthorized intervention into the appliance or non- bservance of the operating requirements listed in the present manual the Manufacturer’s warranty will become void.

Connect the appliance only to power supply grid sockets equipped with an earthing contact, use only two-pole extension cables with 10A rating and an earthing conductor.

Do not use multiple high-power appliances simultaneously – this may
lead to malfunctions in residential power supply systems. -
Do not use adapters for connecting the unit to the electric socket to avoid the risk of fire.
-
Do not use the unit outdoors.
-
Never leave the operating slicer unattended.
-
Place the appliance on a smooth stable surface, provide free access to the power socket.
-
Disconnect the unit from power supply before cleaning and when it is not in use.
-
Do not submerge the appliance in water.
-
Do not wash the appliance and its parts in a dish washer.
-
Do not allow the power cable to hang from the table, avoid its contact with hot surfaces and sharp edges of kitchen furniture.

When disconnecting the appliance from the power socket grab and pull the plug, not the cable.

Do not touch the power cable plug with wet hands.
-
Do not pull the power cable if it touches sharp edges, is jammed by any objects or entangled; avoid contact of the power cable with hot surfaces.

Do not submerge the power cable, plug or the slicer itself in water to avoid the risk of electric shock. Should this happen, DO NOT TOUCH the appliance, immediately disconnect it from the power grid and only after that remove the unit from the water. Apply to an authorized service centre to have the unit checked or repaired.

Regularly check the power cable and plug for damage.

The appliance should not be used by physically, sensory or mentally handicapped persons (including children) or by persons without sufficient experience or knowledge, unless such persons are under supervision, or have been instructed on the use of the appliance, by the persons responsible for their safety. Take precautions not to children play with the appliance.

Only the use of original spare parts is allowed. Do not use accessories which are not included in the scope of supply.

Do not operate the appliance at temperatures below 0 °С and above 35 °С. If the appliance has been exposed to temperatures below 0 °С for a prolonged time, place it in a heated environment for at least 3 hours before turning it on.

Do not let children play with polyethylene bags or packaging tape.
Danger of suffocation! -
Do not operate the appliance if its power cable or plug is damaged, if doesn’t run smoothly or has been dropped. Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourselves. In all cases apply to an authorized service centre.

Should You decide to transfer the appliance to another person, please pass the present manual over along with it.
ATTENTION! Risk of Injury!
The blade is very sharp. Never reach into the blade area! The blade still
rotates for some time after the unit shutdown. Wait for the blade to stop
completely! After use set the slicing thickness to «0». The unit should be
used with a loading carrier and holder for the unsliced food, except for cases
when the size and shape of the product to be sliced does not allow using
these.

SCOPE OF SUPPLY
Slicer, complete – 1 pc.
User Manual – 1 pc.
OPERATING PROCEDURE
– Prior to first startup clean the appliance as described in the “Maintenance”
section.
– Place the appliance on a smooth, hard, non-slippery, stable and level
surface.
Connect the appliance to the power supply system. Place the product to be
sliced on the loading carrier (1). Set the desired slicing thickness with the
regulator (10). – Start the unit by pressing the mode switch (8). Slightly
pressing the product with the holder (2) to the guide panel (3), move the
loading carrier towards the blade (4). When the slice is cut off, move the
loading carrier back. Repeat the above operations until all of the product is
sliced up.
– Upon completion of slicing stop the unit by pressing the ON/OFF button.
Wait till complete standstill of the blade, then set the slicing thickness to
«0».
– Do not operate the unit continuously for more than 10 minutes. After this
time turn the slicer off and let it cool down.
ATTENTION! ALWAYS KEEP YOUR FINGERS AWAY FROM THE ROTATING BLADE.
If the size and shape of the product does not allow using the loading carrier
and holder, You may remove them from the slicer. When the piece of the product
becomes shorter than 10 cm, use the loading carrier and product holder again.
RECOMMENDED APPLICATION
– This appliance can be used to slice bread, ham, sausage, cheese, fruit,
vegetables and other soft and medium hard foods.
– Using the unit to slice hard or sticky foods, frozen foods, bones, wood,
metal and similar materials is not allowed.
– Soft foods (cheese or ham) are best sliced when chilled, moving the carrier
at a slow speed.
– Meat should be deboned.
– Fish and thin steaks are best sliced when slightly frozen.
– Before slicing warm fried meat ensure that sinews have been removed.
– If a product has to be sliced very thinly slightly moisten the blade with a
damp cloth. This way you will prevent the sticking of the product to the
blade.
– Prior to slicing fruit remove the kernels.
– Large pieces of food should be cut into smaller pieces and then sliced using
the holder.
MAINTENANCE
– Clean the slicer after each use.
– Turn the unit off and pull the plug from the power socket.
– Take the loading carrier from the slide and wash it.
– Wipe the body of the slicer with a slightly damp soft cloth.
– Do not use abrasive detergents, solvents and metal wool sponges to clean the
appliance.
– Wipe the blade mounting surfaces after removing the blade. To do that,
unscrew the set screw (5) counterclockwise and carefully remove the blade.
Reinstall the blade in reverse order, ensuring that the teeth engage with the
motor drive gear. After that tighten the set screw (clockwise).
– Never submerge the appliance, its power cable and plug in water!
– Clean the appliance by all means prior to putting it away for storage.
– Wind up the power cable.
– Store the unit in a cool dry place, out of reach of children.

Whenever possible, please discard those into a waste container provided for
recyclable materials.
DISPOSAL
Upon expiry of its service life the appliance can be disposed of separately
from ordinary domestic waste. You can turn it over to a specialized
electricand electronic appliance disposal and recycling centre. The
materialswill be processed in accordance with their classification. By
turningthe discarded appliance over for recycling You will make a
considerablecontribution to environmental protection. You can obtain a list of
electricand electronic appliance disposal and recycling centers from Your
localmunicipal authorities.
CERTIFICATION DATA, GUARANTEE
The service life of this item is 5 years since the date of sale to the enduser, provided the item will be used in strict accordance with the present manual and the applicable technical standards. Upon expiry of the servicelife please contact the nearest authorized service centre for suggestions as to further operation of the appliance. The manufacturing date of theappliance is integrated into the serial number (digits 2 and 3 – year, digits4 and 5 – month of manufacture). If any questions related to appliancemaintenance should arise, or if the appliance has malfunctions, apply to theCENTEK TM Authorized Service Center. DEAR CONSUMER!
The guarantee period for all appliances amounts to 12 months from the date of
sale to the end consumer. With this Warranty Card the Manufacturer confirms
the proper condition of the appliance and undertakes to repair, free of
charge, all defects caused by the Manufacturer’s default.
GUARANTEE MAINTENANCE TERMS

The guarantee shall be valid if the following documentation conditions are observed:
• The original Warranty Card shall be filled out correctly and clearly, indicating the of appliance model, serial number and sale date, the stamp of the seller company and signature of its representative shall be available, as well as the stamps on each coupon and the buyer’s signature in the Warranty Card.
The Manufacturer reserves the right to reject guarantee maintenance if the buyer fails to provide the abovementioned documents or if the information contained therein is incomplete, illegible or ambiguous. -
The guarantee shall be valid if the following operation conditions are observed:
• the appliance is used in strict accordance with the present manual;
• the safety rules and requirements are observed. -
The guarantee does not apply to regular maintenance, cleaning, installation and setup of the appliance at the owner’s location.

The guarantee does not apply in the following cases:
• mechanical damage;
• normal wear of the appliance;
• non-observance of operation requirements or erroneous actions on the part of the user;
• improper installation or transportation;
• natural disasters (lightning, fire, flood, etc.), as well as any other causes beyond the Manufacturer’s or Seller’s control;
• ingress of foreign objects, liquids or insects into the inside of the appliance;
• repairs or modifications to the appliance by unauthorized persons;
• use of the appliance for commercial purposes (loads exceeding normal domestic application), connection of the appliance to utility and telecommunication networks incompliant with national technical standards;
• failure of the following accessories, if replacement of these is allowed by design and does not involve disassembly of the appliance:
a) remote control units, rechargeable batteries, replaceable batteries (power cells), external power supply units and chargers;
b) consumables and accessories (packaging, covers, slings, carry bags, mesh screens, blades, flasks, plates, supports, grilles, spits, hoses, tubes, brushes, nozzles, dust collectors, filters, smell absorbers);
• for battery-powered appliances – operation with inappropriate or depleted batteries;
• for rechargeable battery-powered appliances – any damage caused by improper battery charging and recharging. -
The present guarantee is provided by the Manufacturer in addition to the consumer rights determined by the applicable legislation and does not limit these rights in any way.

The Manufacturer shall not be made liable for possible damage, directly or indirectly inflicted by CENTEK brand products on people, domestic animals, the consumer’s or third persons’ property if such damage is inflicted as the result of non-observance of appliance installation and operation requirements, deliberate or negligent actions (omission) by the consumer or third persons, as well as of force majeure circumstances.

Service centers will only accept appliances in a clean state (there should be no food residues, dust and other contamination on the appliance).
The Manufacturer reserves the right to change the design and specifications of the appliance without prior notice.
