Note

  • Do not use the child seat on car seats in which a front airbag is activated.
  • This is a child restraint system of the “i-Size” category. It has been approved in accordance with regulation no. 9 for use on car seats which are suitable for i-Size restraint systems according to the vehicle manufacturer’s specification in the vehicle manual. Please contact the manufacturer of the child restraint system or the retailer in cases of doubt.

CAUTION:

  • The safety of the baby seat is only guaranteed by the manufacturer when the seat is used by the initial purchaser. It is therefore not advisable to buy a second-hand seat.

WARNING:

  • The baby seat is only for use in car seats which face the direction of travel.
  • Fold-down car seats must be firmly clicked into place.
  • If the baby seat is fitted to the passenger seat then the passenger seat must be pushed back as far as it will go.
  • The baby seat may not be used on car seats which are fitted with an airbag. It might be possible to disable the airbag (ask your car dealer).
  • The backrest of the passenger seat must be fully upright. If there is a head restraint fitted to the seat, it must be put into the lowest position.
  • The baby seat must not be caught in the car door or in fold-down seats; no heavy objects may be placed on the baby seat.
  • Never hold your baby on your lap when travelling in the car. The sheer force released in an accident will prevent you from holding on to your baby.
  • Never put the seat belt around yourself and the baby.
  • No modifications may be made to the baby seat and the straps.
  • Make sure that the seat belt in the car is not damaged and is fully functional.
  • All the straps designed to restrain the baby in the seat must be tightened. The straps holding the baby must be taut. Make sure that these straps are not twisted.
  • Never leave your baby in the baby seat for too long. Although the baby seat is extremely comfortable it is important for your baby to have regular periods lying on its stomach. This is in the interests of healthy development.
  • When not in use, the baby seat should not be left in the blazing sun, the residual heat from which might later cause unnecessary discomfort to your baby. Parts of the child seat could get hot and burn your child.
  • Do not neglect to use the baby seat on short journeys. These actually account for the majority of accidents.
  • Never leave your child alone in the baby seat in the car.
  • Set a good example and fasten your seat belt at all times.
  • Never allow your baby to play with the seat belt fastening.
  • Take short breaks on relatively long journeys so that your baby has the opportunity to spend some time outside the vehicle to recover from the strain of travelling.
  • Please read these instructions for use and installation through carefully and follow them strictly in the interests of your child’s safety.
  • The safety of the baby seat can only be guaranteed if used correctly.
  • The baby seat can be fastened with a three-point emergency locking retractor belt on the passenger seat or on the rear seats insofar as this belt meets the requirements set out in ECE R16 or an equivalent standard. We recommend putting the baby seat on the rear seat.
  • An unsecured seat may injure the passengers in the event of an emergency stop or an accident.
  • Make sure that the seat does not get caught in the door of the vehicle or damaged by rotating car seats or by objects placed on the baby seat (e.g. luggage), etc.
  • Do not make any modifications to the baby seat. This could adversely affect the safety of the seat.
  • In an accident (even at low speed above 10 km/h) the child safety seat could suffer damage which is not necessarily obvious. In this case you must replace the child seat. Please dispose of it properly.
  • Before you buy the baby seat we recommend that you check whether it can be installed properly.
  • Ensure that all items of luggage and objects that could injure passengers in the event of an accident or a sudden application of the brakes are adequately secured.
  • The instructions should be kept in the pocket provided in the child car seat.
  • Never put the child seat with the child in on a high surface, such as a table, work surface, bed or shopping trolley. The seat with the baby inside could fall off.
  • The Enhanced Child Restraint System shall not be used without the cover.
  • The Enhanced Child Restraint System cover should not be replaced with any other than the one recommended by the manufacturer, because the cover constitutes an integral part of the restraint performance.
  • Consult your vehicle manual to find out the position of the Isofix anchor points and correct installation of i-Size restraint systems.
