Packing List

Heightening Feet Installation
When working with the chuck to engrave or cut wide surface objects, follow these steps to install the heightening feet:

  1. Attach the heightening feet accessories to raise the laser engraver for engraving or cutting taller objects.
  2. Refer to the Chuck and heightening feet diagrams for proper installation.

Connection Cable Use
Ensure correct connection of the black and white plug wires for the chuck:

  • White plug cable is for connecting to IKIER laser engraving machine.
  • Black plug cable is for connecting to third-party laser engraving machines.
  • Make sure to connect the wires in the correct sequence as per the provided instructions.

Product Use Introduction
The laser engraver supports engraving on various shapes such as rings, circles, cylindrical goblets, spheres, and more within specified dimensions. Use appropriate software for operation.

Installation Guide
Follow these steps for installing the chuck:

  1. Ensure the chuck rotation direction: Clockwise for locking and counterclockwise for unlocking.
  2. Install L-shaped jaws by following the provided method and tighten the screws properly.

Heightening feet installation

  1. When you need to work with the chuck to engrave or cut wide surface objects, you need to install the heightening foot. The laser engraver can be raised to engrave or cut taller objects by installing heightening foot accessories.

Connection cable use

  1. The chuck has two connecting wires, black plug and white plug, note that they are wired in a different order and need to be connected carefully.
    • 4PIN white plug cable for connecting IKIER laser engraving machine.
    • 4PIN black plug cable for connecting to third party laser engraving machine.

The R1 chucking kit supports IKIER and third party laser cutters and engravers. You need to connect it to the device and use the appropriate software to operate it. If you cannot connect it, please change the order of the wires and change the processing as shown in Figure 1.1-1.2.

Installation guide

  • Step 1: Direction of chuck rotation

Key points of operation: the sphere should stick to the three jaws as far as possible, and then The suction cup of the rear support column is attached to the sphere, and then tightened screw. When disassembling the ball, you can put the chuck Loosen, then move the support column back.

  1. Add “Start Rotation” to the main window

  2. Click “Settings” on the toolbar IKIER-R1-Rotary-Chuck- \(16\)

  4. Open the Rotation Settings window and set the parameters

  5. Open the Rotation Settings window: click “Laser Tools” on the toolbar, then click “Rotary Setup” IKIER-R1-Rotary-Chuck- \(18\)

  6. Set the correct parameters in the rotation setting window: as shown in the figure
    Steps:

  7. Select the type of rotation: Chuck

  8. Open “Enable Rotary”

  9. Select “Y-axis” rotation axis

  10. Enter the parameters of the rotating device (fixed value)

  12. Import the pattern you want to engrave, set the size of the pattern, and set the power and speed of the engraving. IKIER-R1-Rotary-Chuck- \(20\)

  13. You can click “Frame” to preview the position of the engraving pattern, and then move the laser head to the desired position. It is recommended to use “Current Position” for the start position and click “Start” when you have finished setting. IKIER-R1-Rotary-Chuck- \(21\)

Notes

  1. Make sure you have placed the chuck module parallel to the working area of the engraving machine before rotating the engraving, otherwise the pattern engraved on the object may be deformed
  2. Try to make the three contact surfaces of the object under test and the jaw assembly flat
  3. When the sphere needs to be removed after engraving, first loosen the chuck knob and then loosen the bracket fixing knob
  4. Do not forget to update the parameters of the measured object in the rotation setting window every time you change the measured object
  5. Turn off “Enable Rotary” in the main window when plane engraving, otherwise the engraving pattern will be deformed
